Ben and his team went above and beyond for our tree trimming! They spent over 6 hours meticulously pruning our massive maple/oak trees in the front yard of our new home that had been neglected for some time. They also did a great job with a few smaller trees and stump grinding in the back. Ben was so communicative over text for scheduling as well as in person, regularly checking in that I was happy with the progress. Their pricing is also extremely reasonable! We are so pleased with how everything turned out.

Cook Outdoor Contractors responded to our request for quotes in a timely and affordable manner. We had a very dangerous huge oak tree that was rotting both at the base and 20’ up. Had it fallen, it would have crushed our boathouse and contents, our dock and retaining wall. Within 5 days, they rearranged their schedule, cut down the massive tree and ground the stump down. I couldn’t be more pleased at their professionalism, know how, responsiveness and the excellent job they did. I was totally impressed with Ben Cook. I had a huge tree pretty close to my house to cut down. He came on time for the estimate & followed up with the quote. Ben & his crew came on time the day that was scheduled & worked carefully, all day. They had all the necessary equipment to get the job done; they cleaned up everything & were professional and polite. Ben was there making sure everything was done correctly. They were careful of the fence as well. I would highly recommend this company.

We had 3 large trees come down on our shed. I searched Better Business Bureau and found a couple highly rated tree removal companies. Cook was the first to reply and gave a quote by the end of the day. It was higher than the others but the insurance adjuster agreed that we should hire them. The quote was very detailed, even including a tarp and install to cover the roof until we can replace it. We were not disappointed in the work and crew that came to our house. Everything was cleaned up, even small twigs and vines. We are so impressed with this company that we’ve asked for another quote for another tree issue we have. If you are looking for a reputable company that will do an excellent job, I very highly recommend Cook.

Ben Cook and his crew are the best! Professional, responsive, easy to work with, competitive, and their cleanup is impeccable! We have two150 year old Maple trees located extremely close to our home, that desperately needed trimming. They were responsive from the start, came out to quote the job quickly, answered all of our questions and we were on their schedule in no time. The crew are professional and they took great care in trimming these trees so they are safe while maintaining their beautiful canopy. Their cleanup is equally impressive! Seriously would not know they were ever here! All of our landscaping was well protected too. We have more trees that need trimming and will be working with Cook Outdoor Contractors every time. 2025 Update; we asked Ben and his crew to help thin out our 8 extremely mature walnut trees and they did a phenomenal job. Keeping the beauty of the canopy and removing necessary limbs. The crew is always courteous and they clean up everything extremely well. Thank you Ben!!

We had a large tree come down into our yard during a recent wind storm and called Cook Outdoor Contracting after learning of their professional service recently provided to a local church.
Having worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Company each summer when I was in college, I am quite familiar with what efficient and safe tree work requires.
Our experience with this company began with a very pleasant conversation with the company owner Ben, continued with Garret, who arrived to review the job and prepare a quote, and concluded when the crew arrived right as scheduled to do the work.
This morning I watched the crew boss Dan and his crew of three remove a very large tree and associated debris from our yard. They were most pleasant to work with, worked efficiently and were always respectful or our property.
Each man knew his job and did it safely, methodically and competently. They worked as a team and got it done right.
And...we are certainly pleased with the price quoted and honored for the job.
Quite frankly, I am extremely impressed with the entire experience and would not think of using a different company for any future tree work.

Ben and his crew came to our home to remove a tree that was never properly removed years ago from a storm.
I wanted everything removed except the trunk from a 30 ft tree.
He and his crew did a Fantastic job cutting down and removing all of debris. They were done within hours and the price was Absolutely beyond competitive!
Professional and Courteous they also made sure any debris in my neighbors yard was cleared as if they were never there! I would Recommend Cook Contracting to Anyone who needs tree service of any kind.

Ben and his crew were incredible. We would use them again in a split second. They were knowledgeable, friendly, very efficient and cleaned everything up like they weren’t even there. We had black walnut trees that desperately needed trimming. I don’t even recognize our backyard it looks so good. Highly recommend! For what they did the price was phenomenal. Thank you!

I needed a large 18 inch diameter hardwood (80 ft tall) removed from my yard this year, so I called 3 vendors to view and get me quotes. Cook Outdoor was the lowest and had the "right equipment for the job. I had 60 inch wide access to the backyard and they managed the cut and removal with ease. The extended picker was amazing and the crew very skilled at their job. Talk to Ben if you need some tree work done...they are great.

Huge limb down after wind storm. Called Cook based on the number of positive reviews. This is the right thing to do, because Ben Cook came out in 30 minutes (at 5:30 on a Friday night) and had his team out to clear the limbs that same night.

They showed up, did what they said they'd do, charged a fair price and cleaned up after themselves.

I had Ben and Team remove a large oak tree in my backyard that was over growing my patio, house, and power lines.

Ben was able to get me an estimate very timely and the price was fair and reasonable based on several other quotes obtained. Some companies didn’t even respond and some said they couldn’t get me a quote for a month.

Once I signed the contract, they were able to get out within 4 weeks to do the work.

The team did a great job and I’m extremely happy with the results. They didn’t even need to take the power lines down so my wife could still work from home.

The cleanup was awesome. Not a single branch or leaf leftover and they put down topsoil and seed for me too. Can’t wait to use my patio and backyard now!

I have Ben and his crew come remove some branches off of my huge oak tree that I had in my front yard that was going over the top of my house and the neighbors.
I got my estimate within two days and once I sign the contract he scheduled me for two weeks to get the work done. He even gave me an offseason discount which was greatly appreciated.
When they were done, they left nothing behind. Cleanup was great. They even helped me put my gnomes back in the flower bed were they were.

Cannot recommend this team enough. From start to finish communication was excellent. Best price for the job, despite having to use a crane due to the inconvenient location of the HUGE tree. Many dangerous limbs spanning over both our house and our next door neighbor’s house, with power lines entangled. Ben did a great job coordinating to ensure most importantly his team’s safety, and also the safety of our homes. Andy, who did the tree work, is extremely talented and did a great job. The entire crew was very professional. They removed all wood and ground the stump, and you would never know they were there. Will go to them for all future needs. I couldn’t be more impressed with how efficiently and safely they tackled this huge job.

Chris and his crew have an excellent service.He came and removed some trees for me. They took great care to prevent any damage to my lawn and the neighbors lawn. I have no complaints and would call him again & recommend him.

Chris and his crew are extremely professional and a delight to work with. We had him revamp our landscaping in the fall and now have him for snowplowing. He is prompt and efficient.

Chris came out in a timely manner to give us an estimate. We were scheduled for the landscaping to be trimmed and he came as scheduled. At the last minute we decided to replace a bush. He was very accommodating and pulled the old one out and replace it .We would recommend him to others and plan on using his services again this year.

I found this agency through Home Advisor. Chris was insistent on meeting me in person to give the quote vs just coming through and leaving it. I must say that was a great first impression as face to face contact isn't made a lot any more. Chris and his crew came and took out 2 large trees in quick fashion and completely cleaned up the debris. While the work was being done, Chris made sure to keep me and my family up to date with what was happening to ensure we didn't let our kids out or the dog out. I was using Yard Renovations for yard work and snow removal when our neighborhood was hit with a crisis. Several homes had ice problems.
