Black Rock has completed several roofs for me and has done a great job on all of them. They have been houses that are very close together and have done a good job accommodating the neighbors to ensure everyone is satisfied with the job.

This business is always on time for all appointments, very fair price with a clear explanation of the estimate and when the job is started, everyone on the crew is very professional, friendly and treated my house as if it was their house being repaired. The cleaning of debris at the completion of the job was extremely thorough and complete. The contractor contacted me to confirm that I was satisfied with the work that was completed and that they could be contacted anytime with questions or concerns. I totally recommend this business for roofing and siding.

I did not use Black Rock to replace my roof, but I am the neighbor of a property that used them. This company was wildly unprofessional. I woke up to multiple of their workers trespassing into my backyard (which required propping open a 6 ft tall gate) and my furniture, grill, etc. moved around and tons of materials back there. All of this without speaking a word to me. Before I could see or react to this, I had let my dog out into my fully fenced yard without realizing all of this had happened and they left the gate propped open, which could have led to a very tragic situation with my dog had I not been able to grab him immediately.

I felt violated and was bewildered that a company would trespass like this. The guy in charge then knocked on my back door (which pissed me off that he is knocking on a very private door at the back of my property he is already illegally on instead of walking to my front door). I asked what the hell he was doing. His response? It was to get mad at me and raise his voice at me saying they needed to use my property to replace the neighbor's roof. Which is incorrect (they didn't need to, it was just more convenient to do so) and I simply requested they had spoken to me at all before doing so. He also blamed the neighbor for not informing me. Which confused me because he still should have at the very least talked to me at the beginning of that day to inform me they were going to do this. This was all after I let them (without speaking to me again) leave pallets of materials on my front yard (again it wasn't even my roof they were doing) for two whole days. I want to emphasize the way this guy spoke to me was appalling. He got mad at me for simply asking to be spoken to first and was very unprofessional and frankly rude in his tone and choice of words. Don't worry this gets worse!

The workers proceeded to then damage bonsai trees in my backyard by throwing sheets of plywood on top of them. And they started walking around on top of my pergola (again wildly unnecessary to do the job and not safe whatsoever). There were also lights on my pergola and when I spoke to the man in charge again informing him of this, he said that's why they put plywood down so it's fine. Nope, not how that works. Putting plywood down before walking on lightbulbs will not protect them. I then got nervous watching them do this job with virtually no safety precautions taken and on my property still without my permission, so I called my insurance company. They told me to not let them stand/walk around on my pergola. Which I then told the workers. But I had to tell them multiple times to get off the pergola before they did. And yes, I still saw them use it briefly later in the day after this.

The workers also (again without my permission!) took an entire panel of my fence down. My fence. Not my neighbors. This was entirely only for the convenience of being able to walk between both backyards, which was again unnecessary as there is a separate walkway they had already commandeered to get to our backyard. They never asked or even informed me they were doing this. They also took down light fixtures and moved multiple things without ever talking to me about it too.

And the kicker. They damaged part of the exterior of my historic home, probably because they took very little precautions and did not adequately protect things. So we have called and informed them of this and they claim they will send someone out to fix it (who knows how that will go, maybe I will update this depending on the outcome of that). They also left tools on our property too. And they never did try to speak to us other than when he got mad at me for asking what he was doing on our property. I really regret not calling the police over the trespassing as I should have done.

So keep in mind if you don't want to be complete jerks to your neighbors, I wouldn't dare hire this company. And if your neighbor is having a roof done by them, do not let them on your property!

Black Rock was a professional organization from initial bid/contract through to final clean up. Their crews worked quietly and cleanly. Not a flower in my garden was broken. My neighbors loved them. Hire this company. You will be happy with the result. The final bill matched the initial bid to the penny.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Black Rock Roofing. Each step of the process was actually enjoyable and I just love the quality roof and gutters that they installed. The best customer service, hands down!

My experience with Black Rock Roofing was excellent from start to finish. My estimator Mark was professional and informative . The price was fair and I’m extremely happy with the work . The crew did my entire roof in one day ! I was shocked at how quickly everything went and how thorough cleanup was . I would recommend this company 10/10 !

The crew was fast. Did an excellent job cleaned up after themselves were very personable and just a great group of guys.

I had a roof installed about 10 years ago by Black Rock Roofing. A week or so ago I called them and asked if they could come to my house to inspect a possible problem with the roof. A person was there the next day . He was polite and confirmed problem was not the roof. I have delt with this company over many years. Would recommend them to anyone. It's hard to find good honest workers. They are just that !

Excellent company for your roofing and gutter needs, from meeting with Mark, the sales person, to them being on time and providing us with a high quality roof at a reasonable price. (as we had 5 other estimates) We had a tear off and replacement of a 3400 sq ft home. The workers were great, they covered everything outdoors, cleaned up as they went along, and used a high powered magnet for any metal remnants laying around the house. The job was completed in 1 1/2 days and it looks beautiful!! I would highly highly recommend Black Rock Roofing!!!

I was very pleased with the roof replacement by Black Rock Roofing this October. They did all the work in one day, everything was cleaned up around the house. Then they had a company return to put on a hanging gutter to replace the Yankee gutter that was there. Finally, they came back with a crew and put a cap on my chimney, which was greatly appreciated. I strongly endorse this company.

Black Rock did a great job with a tear off roof for me a few years ago. We recently lost a couple of shingles in one of our crazy Buffalo storms, and we called them for a repair. They called back promptly, and even before we could call back to schedule, they had a crew here to do the repair! They were done quickly, and even grabbed a couple of balls for us that my sons had thrown and gotten stuck on the roof! They're very professional, and their pricing is very reasonable. We highly recommend them!

13 years after they did an excellent job and replaced roof and coordinated carpenter contractors for replacement of wood trim and painters for the house I needed some original but rotting soffit and fascia boards/gutter backing replaced. Although this was a small job they gave us a good and fair estimate and were able to work us into their busy schedule to complete the job. They were pleasant, honest, professional and knew what had to be done and did it and did not ignore this small job like we hear so many other companies do. Will be calling them when the roof is worn out again.

I recently had a complete tear off on my house & garage. To say that I am happy with everything from start to finish is an understatement. Black Rock was referred to me by a co-worker but I also did my research with other competitors. I chose to go with Black Rock because Mark had physically went up on my roof(on a windy day ;) examined what had to be done, what was wrong and how many layers I actually had. Mark was very down to earth, easy to communicate with and went over any questions I had. His crew had started to set up and get things ready to go by 8am. I believe there were about8-10 guys and let me tell you every single person knew what job to do, kept on track of getting things done all like a well oiled machine. The job was completed and the yard was cleaned up by 3pm. My neighbors had noticed and complimented the work as well! They said they would never had guessed people were there doing my roof. And let me tell you the amount of debris was giving me high anxiety attacks when I would look out the window! Everyone including my husband and myself were impressed! My husband and I just had a roof tearoff and replacement by Black Rock Roofing and we couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. They have an excellent team to do the roof, all working together and the cleanup after was great. Not a nail or old shingle to be found. No damage to the bushes or flowers. Very professional job from the estimator Mark, and Dave the appt person. My Step mother had her flat roof also done and is very pleased with that job. We had our roof replaced by Black Rock Roofing approximately 10 years ago.
