Could not be happier with the work that Bobby provided. They took a job that I thought would be complicated (expense) and was able to knock it out in a very short time at a very reasonable cost. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality electrician.

Just wanted to thank Bob Lantry and his son of RDL Electric for the work they did today on all of my ceiling fans. The wireless controls were becoming unreliable and Bob and his son replaced all of them in a very timely manner. I can always rely on RDL to do the right thing.

In need of a reliable and reasonably-priced electrician, and having struck out finding that company in the Wilmington area, a friend from Raleigh recommended RDL Electric, Apex, NC. It was suggested, RDL's owner, Bob Lantry, often travels to Wilmington and might be available during one of his trips to the coast. In fact, this happened, and Bob and his son, Robert, showed up on a Friday morning all set to tackle the installation of a 60+" wall unit TV, replacement of an 18-year-old attic fan that had frozen, and installation of LED lighting (replacing florescent) under all kitchen cabinets.
Not only did RDL Electric do a professional job, Bob and son, were neat, polite, and reasonably priced. Arrangements are already being made for another trip to the beach so that RDL can install an indoor switch for a deck awning and the installation of front yard lighting. An extremely positive experience. Recommend to all Raleigh-based residential owners.

Bobby and Robert did a great job. They did more work than they initially were asked to do, in less time they estimated, and explained how to do some of the stuff so I can fix it in the future myself. They are also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

All of the outlets in one room of our house weren't working and RDL Electric found the problem within 15 minutes and fixed it for a reasonable price. Very friendly and went to the extra effort of teaching us what to look for the next time. I would recommend them any time!

RDL Electric is the best! Bobby found the electric problem I was having almost immediately. He knew exactly what to look for and found the very dangerous Open Neutral by checking all connections from the entrance panel and working forward to the inside breaker box. A cheap chinese part had fallen apart in one of the power box's, hidden from view! He looked beyond what was easy to find and searched for a failing connection in a hidden place. Another week with this issue and I would have lost most of the electronics in my house. So glad I called Bobby at RDL!

Bob is very professional and knowledgeable. He was very quick to respond and resolve my issues. He took the time to explain everything to me so I understood. He is the only electrician I will use going forward. He looks out for his customers.

I have a lot of good things to say about RDL Electric even though I have never physically met any of their service engineers on my property.
My irrigation system stopped working and all outside receptacles had no power. I called a service, the appointment was three weeks away (7/8 to 7/29).
I then called RDL Electric; the gentleman over phone helped me troubleshoot by asking many detailed questions. Finally the problem was narrowed down to GFI receptacles in my garage. I checked all three which were normal, but he insisted I looked for one more, which was hiding behind my tool box. Surely that was tripped. After resetting it, the outside receptacles and the irrigation system have power back!! My problem was solved!
I feel bad that I didn't even know this gentleman's name. He could easily make over $200 by just coming to my house, plus the labor cost spent on trouble shooting. Instead, he helped me for free.
When I verbally thanked him, he said he was only "do the right thing" to his clints. Wow! I am so moved. Thank you!!

I highly recommend Bob Lantry of RDL Electric, and his son Robert. Robert has worked on several lighting installations for us and is always courteous, efficient and takes the time to explain the work as well give advice for future work. l. will definitely call them again.

We had a long punch list of things all over the house for Bobby and Robert. They did an outstanding job for a reasonable price. We will definitely be using them again in the near future as our house rehab continues.

They helped us during a porch installation project - installing all the electrical and re-routing, etc. They were extremely courteous, on-time, and went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Suddenly I had two non working outlets in my master bath. I reached out to RDL and got a call back from Bobby. I explained my issue and steps I had taken already (resetting the breaker box). He walked me through what to check (a GFI switch) on an outlet in my other bathroom! I reset it and my issue was fixed! He further explained how GFI's are setup in a home so I could understand what happen.
All I can say is WOW! Truly an honest professional who wants to help customers. I doubt any other place would have given advice over the phone. I would strongly encourage anyone needing electrical help call RDL!

I attempt to do most home projects myself but came across a situation that was completely new to me. I called Rob who said he always enjoys teaching other people so he was happy to help. I sent him a few pictures and a video and he gave me his thoughts and guidance on what needed to be done and how. If I decide I need a professional I will definitely give him a call for this and future projects solely based on his excellent service to a potential customer.

As an update I had Rob and his son come do a job for me in my home. To summarize; on time, great work and a great rate. Not to mention they are genuine and kind people. You couldn’t ask for more.

Bobby Lantry is an amazing, thorough, professional, knowledgeable and honest electrician. He quickly responded to our emergency, identified the problem, and fixed it quickly. He went above and beyond the call of duty on our job, even going as far as meeting with a Town Inspector for us. If you are looking for a GREAT electrician, you will no go wrong hiring RDL Electric.

Robert replaced a GFCI outlet and an outdoor outlet that had lost its cover. He came out the day I called. The installation was quick and well done. Most importantly, his communication was stellar. I’ll definitely call him again when I need an electrician.

Bob started his work with our Screened in Porch guy and has been professional, on time and insightful and honest with his work and business ethic. Since then we even called him back for some other work because of how he works and has always been upfront and gets the job done. Highly recommended!

Bob just completed a complex radiant heater install on a screen porch. He did an excellent job, taking great pains to achieve the aesthetic requirements asked of him, while providing a professional electrical installation. I would highly recommend Bob and RDL electric. I needed a Tesla wall charger installed. Bob found the most straightforward way to do it and gave me an estimate. I had to go out of town, so I gave him my garage code. While I was gone, he texted pictures, and I came back to find everything in pristine and working condition. Going to have them back for every electrical job I have.
