I've had Roy Electric handle several projects for me over the years, and they've always been top-notch professionals with excellent communication, great results, and competitive prices.

For the latest project, Yafer, Spencer, and Jason handled all the electrical upgrades for my kitchen renovation in Durham. They added new outlets, ran wiring for under-cabinet lighting, ran wiring for above-cabinet lighting, and installed the dimmer switches for all the new lighting. They got it all working smoothly, and they patiently answered all my novice questions. Not only that, the final price was *less* than the original estimate!

I'll definitely hire Roy Electric again any time I need electric work done, and I highly recommend them any time I hear of someone that needs electric work.

The young gentleman that came to hang up my chandelier were very knowledgeable, efficient and polite! It was a pretty heavy light fixture but they were able to securely mount it . I was very happy with the workmanship and I would definitely use them again for my electrical needs! :)

We used Roy Electric to install a replacement bathroom fan that was a tight fit - husband and brother in law had no luck. Two companies I reached out to turned the job down but Roy Electric came out on time and did the job in 15 minutes.

Felix led the job. Very nice and professional. The ceiling fan replacement went very well. I had tried to install it myself and really made it worse. Felix diagnosed the weird problem quickly and fixed flickering lights in the dining room and converted garage fluorescent lights to LEDs. All with up front pricing. Diagnosed everything just by looking and knowing (except the ceiling fan, but that only took him about 5 minutes). Will definitely use again. All took less than 2 hours.

Alex did excellent work in a several day project despite the cold and lots of wildlife in the crawlspace!

Roy Electric sent crew of 3 to finish wiring my new wine bar. Yafer, Alex & Hunter did are great job with the WAC lighting that I had purchased. I would recommend Roy Electric for custom cabinet lighting jobs

Hunter came with 2 other guys and quickly worked on the issue and got it resolved. Guys were quick, friendly and knowledgeable and had the right tools for the job.

We had a great experience with Roy Electrical. We had them install a few outlets and the electrical for a hot tub. Roy Electrical came up as a recommended vendor through Duke Energy. Of the vendors I contacted, Tyler at Roy Electrical was the most prompt and thorough person I communicated with. We got on his estimate schedule right away and had an estimate in-hand within a day or so. The cost was very fair. (Compared to one of the other vendors that took 2.5 weeks to send a quote and charged more than 2x.) For the actual install, Hunter was the lead tech and he was great. They did the bulk of the work in a morning. Once we had the hot tub on premises, we got back on the schedule very quickly and they wrapped the job, connecting the hot tub in a couple of hours. Tyler helped schedule the inspection with the county, which passed with flying colors. From start to finish, the team at Roy Electrical was easy to work with. They were clear in their communications and answered questions quickly and completely. I would definitely hire them again for electrical work in the future.

The installation was done correctly, and the team was courteous, but communication about pricing could have been handled better. I was quoted one rate and later invoiced more without notice. The final cost was fair for the work, but it’s important to get clear approval before adjusting pricing mid-job.

Had a generator inter-connect installed for my circuit breaker.

Came out quickly, made extra effort to get it done before the storm, worked well when tested.

Hunter and Taylor worked on repair/replace two outdoor switches. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The job was completed in a timely manner and VERY reasonably priced.
