We recently found a leak in our roof resulting in some staining of an interior wall and ceiling. We immediately went in search of a reliable roofer to help identify the source and execute a repair. We initially reached out to several companies through "Angi" and had relatively poor response. Those that did respond all started their conversations out with promises to get a whole new roof, but not to worry "insurance will pay for everything". These companies hadn't even seen the property, roof or the leak.
Frustrated, I called H & S roofing. Jim was very responsive, and withheld judgment until he got a look at the problem. He admit the source might be difficult to track down but had an idea that he felt strongly was the problem. With an active leak, we were moved up on the repair schedule and we soon had someone on the roof digging into the problem. To our surprise, the damage was less significant than originally thought and the repair was relatively straightforward. The final cost came in lower than the original quote, MUCH cheaper than the deductible on a new roof, and I no longer have a leak.

H&S did our roof 15 years ago. I recently had the come and inspect the roof. They came and said it was in good shape. There was no charge for the inspection. I have always appreciated their honesty and quality of service/work.

We just had our roof replaced by H&S and they did a terrific job! All the way around, from the many estimates that Billy did, project management by Graham, and the crew led by Jefferson, all first-rate people to work with and a great result! And they fully cleaned up afterwards. Great work all!

I had a leak on my roof since several years. The company who originally installed the roof could not find it.
I decided to call H&S Roofing after my insurance company recommended them. It took them only 2 visits to find the leak and repair it. They never charged me for the initial inspection nor the visits, only when the job was completed. Steve was very friendly and honest. Their quote was fair. I highly recommend them and will definitely contact them once I need a roof replaced. Thank you!

I have been using H&S Roofing for years. They roofed my current house and previous house. They also did repairs on my commercial Butler building metal roof and installed new gutters and downspouts. Their work is impeccable! I would never even consider using any other roofing company in Charlotte. They stand behind their work 100% ! I have never had any problems with my roof that was installed 15 years ago or on my prior house. Everyone that works there is very friendly and informative.

This is the second time we have had H & S do a roof replacement for us and we are thrilled with the roof and the service! Derek came and inspected our roof due to hail damage in our neighborhood. I am so glad we called him because the damage was not visible from the ground but when he got on the roof and up close, it was obvious. Our insurance company came out to inspect and agreed! I was provided with pictures and a quote. I was surprised how well the damage showed up in the pictures when I couldn't see it from the ground. The company was professional, and communication was great. The hard-working crew did a wonderful job. The cleanup was impeccable! I am so pleased with my new roof and so glad the ugly tan roof is gone! We also had them install gutter covers to minimize gutter cleaning going forward. Derek came by and checked on us after the work was done because he wanted to make sure we were completely happy. I love using local family-owned companies in our community and I will always use this company. It’s no wonder they have been around forever; provide quality and service and people will return.

If you want a leaking roof and water damage, then hire this company. H&S installed our roof replacement in 2020 and we had a leak ever since due to incorrectly installed flashing. They sent multiple guys out over 2 years attempting to fix it, but water was still coming in. They finally sent someone qualified enough to fix it, but now our dining room ceiling is completely ruined. I cannot get anyone at H&S to call me back or respond to my emails about fixing the water damage to my home. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company. *UPDATE 10/2* After posting this review, H&S paid to repair the plaster on my ceiling.

I had a gutter replaced that had been damaged in a winter storm and another gutter supported that was sagging and leaking water during rain storms. The job was done quickly and properly. I will have them do future gutter work when needed.

Great experience with H&S Roofing. They removed 2 layers of old roofing, cut in new ridge vents, and installed new roof underlayment and GAF Timberline HDZ (Appalachian Sky) shingles. Love the color! For as big of a mess as was needed to complete the job, the crew left the place looking cleaner than they found it. Attention to detail with the roof itself was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
