Bill Smallwood, Black Bear Tree Service, and his team expertly, efficiently and safely removed several huge old trees from around our house, and trimmed back several others to safe, healthy, beautiful status. I highly recommend them for your tree removal and maintenance needs. They exceeded all our expectations, and at a very fair price. And they are wonderful people!

Bill is amazing! He cut down trees for us near the end of last year. He called when he was sick with Covid just to reassure me that he received my estimate inquiry and asked if it was okay for him to call me after he recovered. That is some serious commitment folks! From then on, we received nothing but professional, prompt and attentive service. Bill is a hard worker who clearly takes pride in what he does and values providing excellent service to his customers. His prices were competitive and our yard looks great! Black Bear Tree Service did a great job for us, removed about 5 large trees and trimmed some other limbs that could have been a problem down the road. This is the second time we have used this service, Bill and his crew are great, very professional and stayed until everything was was cleaned up. Bill was great to work with. He removed several large trees for us and we were very happy with the work done. He gave us a good price for all of the work and was able to work us in before having our fence installed. The crew did a great job cleaning up the lawn of all tree debris. I had a large dead tree and 4 very large limbs from another tree extending out over my storage shed that needed to be carefully removed. I scheduled a date with Black Bear and I'm very glad I did. Bill and his crew showed up on time and immediately began working. They were very professional and worked well as a team. Some of the debris had to be dropped into my neighbors yard and Bill made sure to respect his property as well as mine. They did not leave until both properties were cleaned up and both of us were satisfied.

Bill and his crew have done outstanding work for me 3 times ober the last several years. Each and every time he knocked the jobs out in record time flawlessly being careful not to damage surrounding smaller trees, bushes, landscaping etc. Clean up was very sufficient as well. The entire crew is always super kind and thet lobe their job. Cost is cheaper than anyone around and he's fully insured! Don't waste time searching for the best, he's right here!

Bill and his employees removed three huge pines and a smaller tree from my front yard with one of the pines right over my house. Bill knew exactly how to get it off of my roof without damaging it. The price was very reasonable for today’s prices. They were efficient at their jobs and I would definitely use Black Bear again. Thanks again!

Michael Pippin recommended Bill. Called Bill yesterday for tree removal after the storm. He showed up not even 24 hours later. Professional, friendly and fast. Removed the tree from the house and cut up the wood for fire use. I so appreciate the work he and his coworker did and how affordable it was.

Black Bear Tree service is awesome. They worked hard and were very efficient. We will be using them again in the future. We were able to maximize our budget and we very impressed by Bill and his crew. Very gracious about moving things to clear way for their work.

We needed 25 or so huge pines cut (and stumps ground) most of them pretty close to our house. We called Bill and got a reasonable quote (much better than the other guys) . He and his crew came out took care of the job in 3 days. They've got the proper equipment and know what they are doing and did an excellent job. They worked around a small dogwood we wanted to save too. Could not recommend enough. Thanks Bill and crew!

Very friendly, fast and professional. I called these guys to remove a huge pine right by my house and he came over same day and scheduled right away. The tree was gone in less than an hour and ground to invisible. They actually picked up more work on the street when my neighbors saw what was happening. Would certainly recommend.

I had 6 stumps and a 60 foot tree removed from my back yard and I'm extremely pleased with the service Rodney's Tree Service provided. They gave me a very reasonable estimate and scheduled the service within one week. Not only did they come early, they removed everything the same day. They filled the stump holes with top soil and evened the ground out where everything was removed. I couldn't be happier. I am a repeat customer and I will only use them for any future tree needs. I would highly recommend them.

Rodney, Phyllis, and team were very responsive and professional during our transaction. We had a tricky tree removal but they removed the tree with little difficulty and did a decent job on clean up. We had a month long wait from quote to service but was worth wait with quality and assurances received. They are insured and able to provide evidence of coverage, which was an important deciding factor for me with my difficult removal scenario.

We had a HUGE pin oak tree in close proximity to our house AND a medium/large red oak tree on our property line. Our neighbor wanted the wood for fire wood. Rodney and crew methodically cut down the first tree and placed the wood in neat piles in my neighbor's back yard. Then when second huge tree was down, they again painstakingly stacked the wood and cut it in manageable lengths. To me this was above and beyond the call of duty. I couldn't fathom how they were going to get the HUGE tree down but down it came precisely where Rodney said it would. They left the area all cleaned up and were very conscious of keeping our property undamaged by any of the heavy equipment he used. He knows what he's doing and his crew was a joy to work with. We had a large red oak looming over our house. Rodney and his crew did a great job bringing the tree down in pieces. They also took down a couple black jack oaks and pruned a large post oak. The crew was professional and planned & followed their work strategy for this job in order to keep themselves safe and our home undamaged. I strongly recommend contacting Rodney for any tree service you may need!
