Rodney is the best in the business. Had him come remove some trees from a new build. They were able to schedule around my needs and concerns as I had SOD freshly laid. Once on the job his crew and him took special care to ensure they did not tear up my new lawn. After they were complete, you could hardly tell there was any heavy equipment on my grass. They did a outstanding job and I would recommend to anyone in need of tree removal.

Love the work Rodney and his team did for us. We recently removed 2 Bradford Pear trees from our front yard and Rodney made sure the job was done right and even had some good suggestions on ways to improve the other trees on our property. They were quick to get scheduled and had a fair price, we'll definitely be using them again for our next big yard project.

Rodney's tree service was recommended to us by our neighbor. We came home from our vacation this past week only to find a large limb of a tree laid over on our roof. We called, spoke to Phyllis ,who was very personable and nice. Rodney came out, gave us an estimate on Wednesday, and Thursday he and his 2 helpers came with his equipment. , approx 4 hours later Rodney had our tree down & limbs and debris removed. Thank you all for such a quick response in our dilemma!

I called Rodney's Tree Service to see about getting an estimate. He came to our house almost immediately. He did a lot of tree work and most impressive was the fact that he didn't really make a mess in the yard. He did a lot of work and it only took one day. The price was great.

We had a dead tree and some others the tops had fallen out. Called and spoke to Phyliss about getting an estimate. Rodney came out on a Friday, looked at our trees, gave estimate in a timely manner. Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Scheduled a day for removal, did a great job cutting and cleaning up. Rodney also noticed the end of our drive had a rut the rain had washed out and he was nice enough to level it out before loading his machine back on the trailer. Very pleased with the work. Will definitely use again.

I've used Rodney's Tree Service twice in the past, first to take down three trees that were dying, and then to trim a couple of Bradford Pear trees. Both times the service provided was above and beyond. Rodney is so experienced, he definitely knows his stuff. Lately, I needed some pine branches cut. Rodney came over and noticed a pine tree that was dying from Pine Beetle infestation. He and his crew came over at 4:30 PM, removed the tree, trimmed the branches from the other trees, ground the stump, cleaned up the area, and hauled away the tree, all by 8:30 PM. Wonderful job, you can't tell there was ever a 70-year old pine tree there. Need tree service? Definitely call Rodney.

Rodney did exactly what we asked for a very reasonable price. He offered advice on planting new trees. He did as little damage to my yard as could be expected. I would certainly use them again.

We contacted Rodney's tree service based off of reviews. Overall, the job of cutting trees down was done well, and I would recommend this company. There's just a few things to be cautious of with the service because, as many do, the contract states they do not take responsibility for any damage done on the lawn. (HOWEVER, in my case they did come back to fix the issues from out of contract activity and completed the work.)
.If it's raining or bad weather, reschedule as the property is more susceptible to damage.
.Do not let a truck or any other vehicle besides the skid steer on your lawn (unless you agree and do not mind the damage it may cause).
.Make sure they only do what's contracted (ex. if cutting, not pull up a stump creating a hole).
For all involved it's better to follow the contract, so make sure to ask detailed questions about exactly how the work will be carried out, and do not change anything in the plan agreed upon. I would not suggest handing over full payment until the job is completed. If it's in your contract to pay up front, ask to change it to half up front, half when done before approving the contract. If you're not fully agreed on the contract and payment, you may wish to look for other quotes.

*Overall, the company will provide you with a completed project as requested. And Phyllis is an absolute gem, her customer service is fantastic!

We had a tree that was leaning toward the house quite a bit. I contacted 6 tree services around my home and only 3 got back to me. The one that was most professional, reassuring, and offered the best price was Rodney’s Tree Service. They took the time to provide an in person estimate and worked with me to provide the best scheduling for the removal. Mr Rodney is a gentleman and is true to his southern roots. Our tree was remove without a hitch, on time and there was no hidden fees. Clean up and haul away was perfect. Give them call you will not be disappointed.

Rodney and Phyllis are great people that do great work at an honest and fair price, that can be tough to find these days. I had three trees removed in precarious spots that could have easily caused damage to my house or property. Their precision is why I will use them to remove more compromised trees on my property.

Came home one Friday after working out of town to find a dead tree had fallen over from a storm. Got in touch with Phyllis and Rodney came over next day. Rodney performed great work and did an excellent job with clean up. He even took down another tree that was dead that was possibly going to come down soon. Very pleased with the work and grateful of the quickness of coming out. Will have to get a few more trees taken down and will definitely use Rodney again. My last photo was taken before Rodney had finished.

ST Wooten was contracted to construct a round-about at Cornwallis and Josephine. They installed a silt fence a couple of feet from the tree line were I live. When they clear brush for the easement there, they cut the roots of the Cypress trees lining my property. Over time, the trees started falling because the roots had died. I spent months dealing with ST Wooten and Right-of-Way trying to get them to clear the trees off my property. Because the trees been down for months, I had multiple tree services stopping by to give me quotes. All them were a bit to pricey. I found Rodney's Tree Sercice online and gave him a call. The first time his crew came was back in October 2024 to remove four fallen trees and to cut down two leaning trees. His quote was far more reasonable than the others. The second time his team came was 01/01/2026 to remove two fallen trees, grind some tree stumps, and to cut down one leaning tree. His team did a great job removing the all of the fallen debris from my property and not messing up my yard. I enjoyed how he took the time talk to me as a human being and not as just another paycheck. I would highly recommend his services anyone that has trees issues on their property.

Highly recommend Rodney's Tree Service. Rodney did work for one of our neighbors and the job looked great. I needed several bushes removed as well as a tree stump.
My neighbor gave me Rodney's phone number. I talked with Phyllis to set up an appointment. I was very pleased with work done. The price was several hundred dollars less than other estimates. I will definitely use their service again in the future

Mr.Rodney is a guy who knows what he is doing,if he tells you that a little limb won't even hit your roof believe him,his climbing guy is very skilled also,he cut a tree over a hundred years old hanging over the house,he said he could do it without anything touching the roof and he did,also went across the street got 4 of my neighbors trees hanging over his house,he was very impressed after watching him cut mine.Do yourself a favor and Rodney he will appreciate it and you will be glad you did.

Great service! Rodney was knowledgeable and great to work with. After we received a quote to remove an existing tree, a storm brought down additional trees on our property. Phyllis and Rodney got us scheduled right away to take care of the mess, and their prices were very fair.

Rodney takes pride in his work, and it shows. He did his best to keep lawn damage to a minimum—which is to be expected with this kind of job and greatly appreciated. Where we had trees removed, you can’t even tell they were ever there! He mentioned that several times during the project, and he was absolutely right. The ground is level with no dips where the trees used to be.
