I had a deep clean after I had my hardwood floors sanded down and refinished. Carpe Diem Cleaning did a fabulous job. I was so impressed with each room. My kitchen seemed to sparkle for weeks after. A month later I had my second child and just wanted help with the cleaning. The price was very reasonable for a monthly treat to myself. I have been pleased after every monthly visit. I recommended them to a colleague and my parents who are all pleased with their experience.

They did a bang up job on a move out cleaning for us after we spent two years in a house that was notoriously difficult for us to keep clean. Their communication is excellent and their customer portal was super easy to use. Highly recommend.

Bertha and Norma always do an amazing job cleaning my primary residence regularly, however today they did a move out clean from my rental property. My tenant left the townhouse in horrible condition. These ladies did such an amazing job in such a short amount of time! Every bit of grime and dirt is gone! The floors were so clean and the baseboards went from something I thought I needed to replace completely because they were so caked in dirt to shining like they were brand new. Thank you ladies so much for your hard work! I so appreciate the fantastic job you did today!!

I was incredibly disappointed with my recent move-in clean and in general with the service from start to finish. I chose Carpe Diem Cleaning based on the many positive reviews here on Google. I was told by the staff who scheduled my cleaning that I would be sent a text 30 minutes prior to their cleaners arriving at my home. Instead, I got a phone call when they were just a few minutes away, so I had to rush from work to meet them, and the cleaning team was understandably frustrated after having to wait. Then, when I returned home after they finished cleaning, I found multiple tasks that had been marked on my move-in cleaning checklist that had not actually been completed. I'm moving into an older place that needed a fair amount of cleaning, but it’s a pretty small space that should not have been an overwhelming task. In addition, the space was completely empty because I wanted to clean before moving my things in. Lights and ceiling fans were not even touched, door frames were still dirty, floors were not cleaned thoroughly, there was hair and debris remaining in the shower, windowsills still had standing dirt on them, light switches remained grimy, and the doors had not been wiped down (see photos). I asked for the cleaners to specifically focus on one cabinet in my kitchen that has obviously been through a lot, and I'll admit that it was cleaner than I'd left it, but it still wasn't properly clean. They also managed to remove paint from one of my light switch panels and didn’t mention it. I'm not sure what exactly I was charged for because I couldn't see much of a difference in anything from before the cleaning. I ended up spending several hours actually cleaning my home after the Carpe Diem Move-in Cleaning so that the space would be ready for when my belongings arrived. Following the "cleaning", I left my feedback for staff and expressed my disappointment with their services. No one has reached out or attempted to rectify the situation in any way. They simply charged my credit card for a job they didn’t complete.

TCA has been cleaning my house for about a year and every time they're done I am SO, SO Happy!!! The team pays careful attention to every detail and never slacks off. Can't recommend this company highly enough.

This is a negative review of the Cleaning Authority of Chapel Hill . The Cleaning Authority of Chapel Hill is awful. The management and owner do not truly care to provide even decent customer service. I feel like anytime I bring up a complaint on the cleaning they make me feel like I am to blame rather than accept the responsibility. There's a lack of communication to say it pleasantly.

Some of the cleaners are sweet but there are few that are belligerent and don't really care about the job they do. They will do a good first clean but after that it is really inconsistent and will leave obvious dirt and debris right out in the open.

I had to write the same email 3 times to get through the message that I wanted to change my cleaning time and it still didn't change. The cleaners showed up on the day that I didn't want them to show up.

The Last incident, which was the final straw, was when they showed up unannounced. When I made this clear to the cleaner she said I needed to call the manager. I asked her if she could call and talk to him and she gave me the stink-eye. She had no customer service ability and was really rude. She tried to stare me down and I finally told her to get out. When she stormed out she made sure to leave my fence open so that my dogs would get out. I had to go out there while holding my newborn to get the gate closed so my dogs will not get out!

Do yourself a favor and try another company other than the unprofessional Cleaning Authority of Chapel Hill.

The management has been easy to work with and their software for scheduling, corresponding and paying is very user friendly. The team showed up a little earlier than their scheduled time and started cleaning immediately. They did a good job, didn’t waste time, we’re polite, courteous, and professional.

What a great crew! Patricia, Osiris, and Karen. Hard workers, and very congenial. They were meticulous and thorough, and made friends with our dog! I hope we get this same team again! Cleaners did a great job - actually did a deep clean, which meant they picked up everything and cleaned underneath (even the dog's somewhat complicated bed under my home office desk). They brought a written description of what they intended to do, which helped bridge the language barrier. When they were almost done, another person came by and checked on what they'd done, which shows attention to quality. Very happy.

The Cleaning Authority's wonderful staff have been keeping our house clean for years. We work at home, so we appreciate how they clean efficiently around us, and are sensitive to our needs, eg to be in a Zoom meeting. I can rely on them coming at the appointed time and date. First class service!

We have been using them for about little while now and lately there cleanings have gotten worse. We had to reschedule a cleaning because of covid and never got back to us after saying they would. Called and got them to come out. The quality is definitely going downhill they didn’t clean a lot of places especially ones that are supposed to be on there extra attention ones. More like the no attention places. Then there’s the broken items. First time they scratched our brand new dresser. Nothing done. Second broke a small figurine and at least acknowledged it this time. Left a note. Then they re-broke the same figurine and broke a piece of glass tile in our brand new shower. Looks like something fell against the wall. Never acknowledged it and after having called they won’t call back. They are extremely bad about getting back to you. Seems as though they don’t care about there customers. So all in all I would be very cautious in using this company.

We have had our house cleaned by Cleaning Authority for many months. They are very thorough and trustworthy. Much cheaper than Molly Maid and the office staff are really easy to work with via email if we have to reschedule due to work conflicts. Highly recommend.

We recently had The Cleaning Authority perform 1 of 2 deep cleaning sessions at my mothers house and they did an excellent job. My mother was hesitant to have anyone in her home cleaning but after the first session she told me she sure hopes the same two women come back for the second session. She was very happy!
