We used Air Innovations to install a replacement unit a few years back. From time to time we've needed some maintenance and we've had the privilege of having Andrew come out to do our service. He has been a pleasure to work with and is always happy to chat about what exactly is going on with the unit and what he can do to fix it. I really appreciate his open and honest communication.

I asked Andrew about a separate concern during his visit and he was happy to give me options at various price points, including a few tips on things to try before spending some serious money. I will continue using Air Innovations to service my units for the foreseeable future.

I have been using Air Innovations for over a decade, and they have always been great. This morning the heat was not working consistently, and it was below freezing last night. Justin was able to be here in less than an hour on a Saturday morning! He debugged the problem (partially clogged drain line) that was causing it to turn off at random. Very happy today with Justin and Air Innovations and will definitely continue to call them when needed!

I had a routine checkup performed by John. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He didn't try to up sell me on any services. Great work all around, and I'll definitely be coming back to them for HVAC services in the future.

I have had three jobs done by Air Innovations, and I will continue to use them for my HVAC needs. They have done a full furnace/AC replacement for me, replaced duct work and created a dual-zone layout to my house, and repaired my system after another house repair led to accidentally damaged HVAC controls. All three visits were exceptionally positive experiences.

The communication around the appointment time is excellent, with text updates as the appointment approaches. The team has always been on time. The quality of the work is great, and they only use quality components. The team is professional and polite, and they always take care to keep the inside of the house clean with shoe covers. Plus, the team has always been very knowledgeable and prepared to solve the problem right then.

Air Innovations is a local company with excellent field people who speak highly of the owners. Based out of Durham, they take care of my house in central Cary. I highly recommend this team.

I was worried about getting ripped off, and just having someone in the crawlspace banging on pipes to make me think they were working. This company and these people are straight up and a pleasure to do business with. It’s now been 8+ years and I could not be happier with their service. We have been using Air Innovations for the past nine years since we purchased our house in Durham. I have been very pleased with their service and professionalism. Our tech, John, has always provided excellent guidance and help with our HVAC system. In our recent bi-yearly maintenance appointment he quickly sorted out some HVAC wiring and electronics zone issues related to the builders original installation that came to light over this summer's AC season. Our family appreciates the dedication and responsiveness demonstrated by all the employees -- and we highly recommend Air Innovations.

Travis and the Air Innovations team are miracle workers!

I have an older AC system that would shut off during the hottest part of the day. Multiple other companies stopped by first and claimed my AC was unrepairable and that I needed to spend $8,000-$10,000+ on a full HVAC system replacement. I'm so glad I got another opinion from Air Innovations before spending all that money.

Travis stopped by and quickly diagnosed my issue as a dirty outdoor coil and overcharged refrigerant system. After cleaning the coil and getting the refrigerant levels to spec, my AC is now working perfectly! Travis also took the time to wait for the system to adjust after each change he made and explained the entire process to me.
It's very hard to find honest and expert contractors, but Air Innovations is exceptional and should be the only one you call when you have an HVAC issue.

I've had the team from Air Innovations come out to do work on my place twice now, and was really impressed by the quick, clean, and professional work they do at really reasonable rates.

Andrew Kessler and Josh Baker were gracious with their time, walking me through my options and being creative to ensure that I got the solutions that I needed without going outside of my budget, and I couldn't be happier with the end results.

I’ve had Josh here twice and I’m so impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and demeanor. Last night, on a Saturday he was here working on the roof of my condo building because the AC wasn’t working. It was pouring rain, but he continued working. At one point he had to stop because it was becoming dangerous to be working with electric wires. He left and said he’d come back the next day, a Sunday. Within five minutes I received a text that he was coming back because the rain had stopped and it was starting to clear up. He returned and spent another 1/2 hour on the roof. He returned to check the filter and was on his way. In all the years I’ve had professionals come out for one reason or another I can say that I’ve never been as impressed as I am with Josh’s overall experience, efficiency and dedication. I will never consider using another company for my heating and AC needs. I’d give more stars if I could! Thank you Josh!

We’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Air Innovations. First, they freed up a stuck motor in our furnace, and we ended up getting 2 more years of service out of it prior to replacing! When that motor seized for good and parts were backordered, Andrew discussed our options, made helpful suggestions which saved us money, and scheduled the install. The installation team did a great job, and we are thrilled to have heat again! I highly recommend with company.

I've been very impressed with Air Innovations. After learning that the 25 year old system in a house we were buying was in need of replacement, I obtained several estimates. Travis was a salesperson who wasn't pushy or selling us something more than we needed. They converted a single phase AC to a dual phase, variable speed fan, high end Carrier Infinity system and added zone control for a more comfortable second story. They came out on time and worked diligently to replace my AC, furnace, and air handler. They had a couple issues with Carrier's Infinity setup, but came out ASAP to fix it, and even came back on a Saturday, Travis's day off, to fine tune the system. It was > 90 outside and > 85 inside, so the system needed some leveling to achieve good function. Very happy and will use them for our rental when needed and will recommend them to others.

They're still rockin' it. Justin A. did a semi-annual maintenance check for us today - making sure our heating system is in tip top shape for this winter season. He and all the folks at Air Innovations are great at communication and provide stellar service. We've been relying on Travis and his well qualified team for eight years now. They are very knowledgeable and keep up with the new tech, making it easy to trust them with our HVAC system. Their prices are reasonable, and they are good at diagnosing problems and solving any issues, as well.

I had a really great experience. Our air conditioner was not working upstairs and another company was out twice and failed to fix it. Air Innovations came out quickly and solved the problem. They were knowledgeable, professional and fast. I am definitely switching companies and will be using them from now on.

Be careful with this company! Technician was dishonest about one of our AC units needing a new compressor.

Our home has 2 AC units. One of the units was blowing warm air and the other was working properly. The technician unplugged the unit that was working properly and told us that it needed a new compressor. He could not explain how the unit was blowing cold air before he arrived and after he started tinkering with it, it was blowing warm air and needed a new compressor. After telling the technician that we will obtain a second opinion he plugged the unit back into the power source and it started working properly again. He couldn’t explain how the unit started working again.

The unit that was broken needed a new capacitor which he did replace and is working properly. This is why I’m giving 2 stars. Otherwise I would give 1 star. For being deceitful and trying to swindle us for a $4k compressor.

We had an installation of a new Bosch unit done in our home on 2/14/25 and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. The moment the install team arrived, they were professional and treated our home with respect taking extra care not to ding our walls or damage our furnishings. They were communicative about what to expect and attentive to ensure that every detail was tended to before departing. We are so happy with our choice and know we will use Air Innovations for ALL our HVAC needs in the future!

I used Air Innovations for the first time over the weekend. I got a personal visit from the owner as he was helping out his staff because they were overwhelmed. My experience was terrific. They diagnosed the main issue, ordered the part right away and had me up and running the next business day.. VERY thorough VERY communicative... I won't use anyone else moving forward...

The technician arrived exactly when expected and performed diagnostic efforts in a manner that was not intrusive or disruptive.

The technician determined the cause of the issue and performed the replacement.

The technician also provide guidance regarding why gas fireplace regarding was not functioning.

We just replaced both of our HVAC units and were so pleased with Air Innovations. From start to finish, they were timely and professional with assessment, quotes, finance/rebate options, and installation. It was pouring rain most of the day, and those guys kept working non-stop. We had a set back with an unexpected electrical issue, but Andrew jumped on it with transparency about the issues and added costs. Together we assessed our options, and they managed to get the job done before the end of the day despite the electrical problem and pulling in the electrician at the last minute. We would definitely recommend Air Innovations.

No one is looking forward to having to deal with HVAC repairs but if you are in need, these are the folks you want to have service your units. My technician was Graham and he was super friendly, on time, and pleasant to interact with. He did a great job and in a timely fashion. Strongly recommend.
