River pools was a nightmare to work with.Frank the owner was not pleasant to work with. We had a huge discrepancy about the amount of dirt for the fill and we were charged for dirt we never used. We even provided video proof of how much was delivered. Communication was terrible. Stay away from this company at all cost.

They were friendly at the very beginning. But once construction began there was little to no communication. No matter how many emails, text, etc I sent no one would communicate. Anytime they would show up I had to go out and clean up all the trash they left. I went behind and rechecked the concrete measurements, which they got wrong twice. In the end I just settled, it was nothing like what was promised. I did not get the initial cleaning of the pool, again I did it myself. Near the end of the project, I believe they just were mad, the work (lack of work) continued to get worse. The last thing done was they dumped too many chemicals/salt in the pool and drove off. Had to pay to get it fixed.

Rob, Landon, and the entire River team did a great job of designing, scheduling, installing, and following up on all aspects from start to finish. Landon will coordinate timing and completion of all components and keep you in the loop all along the way.

Pretty smooth process with these guys. Landon was on top of things and nobody likes talking about pools more than Rob. Communication was good--just the little things like the group text thread they started with everybody involved in the project made it easier for everybody to be in the loop. We had our "grand opening" this weekend and the pool looks great.

Rob was a consummate professional. We had an appointment for an estimate for our dream inground pool. Rob was on time and a pleasure to deal with. His pricing was competitive and knew by our conversation, he used the best materials. What really impressed me was his description of the installation process. We went with River Pools and have no regrets. My wife and I were pleased from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Wow, where do we start! This has been the most amazing experience ever! We hired River Pools-Greensboro to install a simple, rectangular pool with brushed concrete to relax and enjoy retirement in. From the very beginning to the very end, River Pools-Greensboro were absolutely amazing to work with. Alexis spent time explaining the different pool options and answering our million questions. Kaitlyn worked tirelessly and patiently with us to design a layout of our backyard, with the pool and decking, to include several changes. Once the install started we worked with Robert, Landon and Noah throughout the whole process. Robert and Landon never once complained if we called or texted them. They were always kind, patient, gracious and sweet, even when we were changing our minds last minute or unsure of a decision we had made. This was the best experience we could ever have had for our first pool. We are so pleased with every aspect of it. We highly, highly recommend River Pools-Greensboro.

Rob, Landon and the team at river pools Greensboro are fantastic. I never write reviews but I had to for them and for anyone looking to put a pool in their yard. We were not an easy job. We were building a house and the pool at the same time. The house kept getting delayed but Rob was totally understanding and didn't push us to get the pool installed (even though he had the shell waiting for us). When the pool was being installed Landon was awesome to work with from start to finish. When we had a slight issue with the house inspection, they came up with a solution. If you are thinking about someone else to put in a pool, dont! These guys will treat you like family and do an excellent job. We are so grateful for the job they have done and will continue to do for us. Lots of memories will be made now!! Thanks again Rob and Landon!

River Pools of Greensboro just finished our pool install. This was our first real upgrade to any home. Definitely recommend the crew from River Pools. Nothing is going to go perfect but they responded to every call, text and email in a timely manner. Installation went well and everything was done in time for the warm weather.

If you are reading this review associated with River Pool of Greensboro. Then your money will be while spent. We have been working on getting an inground pool from RPG (River Pool of Greensboro) just before Covid-19 hit. And everytime we called Rob or reach out to Alexis that call or email was answered. Then we met Landon, on site coordinator. Not sure if that is his title, but he was my go to on the construction site (AKA my backyard). So a BIG THANK YOU!!!! to River Pool of Greensboro for being a part of and making our dream possible. We thank God for all of you and River Pool of Greensboro. River Pools of Greensboro, N.C. is a family run pool company that can be trusted with keeping their word and delivering what is promised...and then some. Before deciding on a pool company, we did a ton of research and came to understand that this project would be a months long process with a lot of moving parts. In saying that, the pool was in the ground a lot sooner than expected. Rob, Kat, and Alexus have guided us through the process every step of the way, answered all questions, and have been super accommodating with all requests and concerns up to this point of the project. Thank you River Pools of Greensboro for a wonderful pool and your continued support. We could say more but the updated pictures speak for themselves. We are very pleased with the final product!

UPDATE: July 2024 (Three years after install)

The paver installation, that River Pools was responsible for at significant cost, is failing due to the polymeric sand joints crumbling. This causes water to get underneath the pavers creating an uneven surface. River Pools contractually warrants their workmanship, incrementally, up to five years. Presently they are refusing to address their warranty. If anything changes, we will post another update, but as of now be wary of any follow up to their warranty.

UPDATE: October 2024

River Pools of Greensboro honored the warranty and contract by completely removing all pavers, repaired the base, reinstalled the pavers, added additional deco drain, and a vapor barrier under the pavers to prevent polymeric sand joint failure. Super job Ron, Kat, Landon, and Brian! Thank you all.

We have had a great experience with the River Pool teams. Landon and his team were great to work with. They were great at communicating and ensuring we were always informed. Any project of this scale you have to come in with kindness and patience and you get that in return. I can’t wait for our first season with our new “River Pool”!
