Please don't waste your time and certainly not your money contracting with this organization. My experience has been awful, less than professional, and disappointing. This company can not keep subcontractors. Because of this, work does not get completed in a timely or satisfactory manner. If you do use them, check your contract carefully and put them on a deadline.

Keith has done a few projects for me that were great. Very professional. I look forward to having him and his team do more for me in the future.

With respect for my time, I will make this response brief. As a correction to your commentary, please be advised that NOT ONE representative from your organization has contacted me to follow up on any occasion.. While your detailed response is appreciated, though late, I thank you.

However, I have since had two professional organizations to come out and provide detailed explanations, engineering reports, and quotations with minimal delay. I was not tasked with the requirement to consult an independent PE to provide a prerequisite report. In summary, I now know that your organization is unable (aka Mom & POP) to provide nor perform the services in which you have advertised.

I called this organization on April 3, 2019; scheduled an appointment for April 26, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Their representative, Frank Verdi, called THE MORNING of the appointment to advise that he would not be able to make it. After expressing my disappointment, Mr. Verdi did come by. He proceeded to walk the perimeter and through the basement of my home to survey my structural damage. He soon departed and advised that he would provide a quote the week of April 29, 2019.

Mr. Verdi provided an email (not a quote) on May 16, 2019 to advise that he needed to work with a structural engineer to assess the damage and provide a contract and subsequent quote from the engineer thereafter. May I please ask a dumb question? Do you think Mr. Verdi knew when he left my home on April 26 that he needed to consult an engineer because he either didn't know what he was looking at or didn't know what to do?

I digressed. Please don't waste your time and certainly not your money contracting with this organization. My experience has been less than professional and certainly disappointing. On a positive note, Mr. Verdi was very pleasant but would be better suited as a greeter at a local retailer.

I waited almost two months for someone to come out to give my a estimate. I sent images of space I wanted finished when I first called. My husband literally took half a day off to be home. When appt date and time came I got a phone call. They were looking at my pictures and public images. That in itself was frustrating. The quote was laughable, I have two other estimates coming in 20k below. Also I never received break down or written quote sent to email as informed I would receive. Save your time and find another contractor.

Thank you Keith & everyone who worked on our carport. Our original metal roof was a dilapidated eyesore, but Keith made it a beautiful pavilion that is sure to be our backyard oasis. KC's Improvement did a great job from start to finish- we will definitely use them again!

KC's Improvement turned a dream into a reality. We never wanted to sell our home because we loved everything about it and the location, we just needed more room. Luckily our two story home was built with extra space over the left side (above the garage and den). So we turned to KC's to extend the top floor all the way over giving us an extra bedroom and HUGE bonus room (man-cave). Went from a 3BR 2BA home to a 4BR 2BA 1Bonus room home. It's perfect in every way. If we ever did anything to our home, which we plan to in a couple years, we would ONLY call KC's. They felt like an extended part of our family for the time they worked on our home.

My mistake-DO NOT HORE I would give negative stars if I could-Hired for a kitchen remodel in October 2022. They started March 6th and promised a 2 month turn around. It has passed the 5 month mark and we still are seeing one human a week to complete maybe a full days work. They also have hired shotty Sub contractors to do the work-so every single thing in our kitchen has been done 3+ times to get it right. KC's only had 3 employees all who have since quit, therefore leaving our project and many others with no manager overseeing the job sights when subs are there to confirm the work is done correctly. If we had been informed upfront that the job could take more than 5 months-we may have waited as I had a funeral for my father planned and they knew it, yet still work was to be done. Then I had back surgery and again they knew it and you guessed it-they hadn't completed. The owner and employees refuse to take the blame, saying its not us its the subs...but they hire the subs so it is them. All in all Save your head aches and hire anyone else.

I'm a die hard do-it-yourselfer, but when I needed some permitted foundation work, I knew I had to enlist the services of a professional. From the initial call back through the end of the job, KC's Improvement were responsive and knowledgable.
In the end, they gave me exactly what I asked for in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable price. The crew was always courteous, prompt and communicative; they also left the job site as tidy as possible at the end of each work day. The terms of the contract were clear upfront, as were the costs and milestones for payment. I can honestly say that at the end of the job, I did not have a punch list or even a single question. These guys did exactly what they said they were going to do.
After the horror stories you hear about contractors, I was nervous at the outset, but my experience with this company was great. I'm very pleased with their work and the overall experience.

KC's has done two projects at our house and everyone involved from beginning to end was helpful, knowledgeable, efficient, skilled, and friendly. Our location is out of the way and they did not hesitate to offer their services at a great price. Dealing with KC's Construction has been one of the times when you get more than you pay for. We wouldn't have anyone else doing work on our home.

First I would like to say thank you Margaret for redesigning my new bathroom and making the layout different and allowing us to have a bigger shower and being able to utilize all of the space. Thank you to the field crew for working so hard a diligent to get the bathroom and our master bedroom together. Thank you to Marsha for checking constantly for making sure everything was flowing and done correctly and keeping us updated throughout the process. One thing people need to understand is remodeling is not a fly by night job so don’t allow HGTV to fool you and give you unrealistic expectations of how it should flow. Great things come to those that wait patiently. If you have an issue on your job don’t wait til the last minute, let them know when it comes about. We love our master bedroom update and our new bathroom!!

We've used KC's twice now, once for a home addition and recently for a bathroom remodel. They are the easiest team to work with and I am 100% confident in their work. They respond to emails and messages quickly and are constantly double checking their work for quality. We have two more large projects to do in the future and I wouldn't even waste time calling anyone other than KC's.

We have been very pleased. Our carport and attached room is far more functional than it ever was. They made sure every job was done right. They also kept us well informed every step of the way We have used this company to completely redo a bathroom that had major structural damage due to leaking
We most recently used them to replace an exterior door that would not close
Whether large or small, every project we have done with this company has been amazing. Their prices are competitive. They respond quickly to any concerns and make sure any problems are corrected. I find them ethical and forthright. We live in a house built in 1959,
So we continue to need work done

What an incredible experience with KC’s! They heard our vision and transformed it into life. Keith Crabtree and the installation crew were punctual and did their job with utmost precision. Now I have a go-to design remodel company & you should too!

A lot of the other contractors I called in Greensboro wouldn't even come out and look at the problems in our ONLY bathroom--even when I expressed an understanding that fixing the problem would likely involve installing a new shower--which meant we were looking at some kind of remodel... When I called KC, they actually scheduled an appointment to take a look. Monica was knowledgeable and had great follow through in helping us get on the schedule and then later start the job, the people that they worked with went above and beyond what we asked for and the price for what they did it for was reasonable. (If you're a clear communicator, they will help you find a solution to your house problems that are in your budget.) Anyway-- my husband and I love the work they did on the house.

I have used KCs for several projects around my home. I have had a bathroom addition added to my basement with an up flush toilet. I was not familiar with that system and KCs crew made everything possible. At the same time we did a laundry room. Everything went as planned. I worked with Keith as well as his employees including the subcontractors that work with this company. Besides little hiccups (which are expected) all of my projects turned out like planned.
