Will you trust a business that sets up an appointment two weeks in advance and then never shows up?

On top of that, they stop responding to you when you ask for an estimate on pricing.

This is the level of professionalism this business has before they do the work so you can imagine how much you can trust their work and professionalism after the work is done.

I am so glad I dodged this bullet.

It is refreshing to have a company to be responsive and care about the quality of work they perform. They were so quick that I had to put them off for a day, so I was ready for them. The crew listened to my request and installed 3 LED fixtures in my garage perfectly.

I called Welborn Electric Company to diagnose flickering lights and inconspicuous electrical behaviors / symptoms.

For example, using the microwave would occasionally cause my TV to turn off and on. The two 'supposedly' certified technicians could not identify the cause and thus told me everything was fine, it was probably just because my TV was new and sensitive to electric fluctuations.

After examining the indoor/outdoor service sub-panels, they told me everything was fine, which made me feel more at ease.

Four days later, a spectrum technician came to diagnose our intermittent connection issue, and when he disconnected the internet cable, a huge electric spark occurred, followed by a massive surge. My family was terrified as lights and electronic devices went haywire, they rushed to unplug things as quickly as possible, but damage had been done.

The problem turned out to be a Service Entry Cable failure, something that the electricians couldn't diagnose, but should have been suspicious of, given the symptoms. These symptoms should have prompted concern and thus contact of my electric service provider, who would've diagnosed and fixed the issue to prevent an electric surge damage.

-1 star for lack of knowledge to diagnose an electrical issue, instead they just kept giving me excuses, like: your house electrical wires are probably worn down for being 47 years old, is why your lights are flickering.

So, for $300+ dollars, they changed one light switch and help me partially identify sub-panel breakers. I would've liked them to warn me of SEC failure and advise me to contact my electric service provider for a free diagnosis. Instead, they gave me excuse after excuse for all the symptoms I vehemently kept describing to them. I tried to get a professional to help prevent an electric surge issue, but the two electricians did not or could not help.

I knew Welborn Electric Company was more expensive and given their long history, I thought they were the best company to call, but I was wrong.

Hiring electricians who gets paid an hourly wage has a subtle hidden conflict of interest, as the lineman who came to repair the SEC explained to me, so beware.

This is probably the first and last time I use Welborn Electric Company. Their lack of professionalism and diagnostic knowledge leads me to believe their skills are sub par, especially when factoring in the higher price they charge.

These guys are just amazing. My entire house was having crazy electrical problems reminiscent of the movie Poltergeist. Lights flickering, electronics turning on and off and Duke Energy was not convinced it wasn't on my end because no neighbors were having issues. I reached out to Welborn only about an hour and a half before they were due to close for the day and asked the please to send someone out. Shannon said everyone was tied up but he thought there was one job he could pull a crew over from and sure enough they were at my house within about 30 minutes. The guys were professional, quickly identifying a serious issue that turned out to be on Duke's supply side of the equation. At that point Duke showed up and they stayed and worked with them to explain what they had found so that Duke could take further steps to fix it. Turns out I had a bad neutral line going back to the transformer. It's the 4th of July tomorrow so I really can't thank Welborn enough for their quick, professional and courteous service. 10/10 would call again!

We removed a non-load bearing wall and needed outlets in that wall removed and the switches for the lights rerouted. Everything was done exactly as we asked with minimal need for opening up walls to do it! One small 12x12 inch area was all they needed! They were quick to respond, and as an added bonus...the final bill was less than what we were quoted! They were timely and cleaned up after they were finished. We will definitely use them again if we need electrical services in the future.

Had a home LED retrofit lighting and wiring issue I just couldn't solve. Welborn responded to my online inquiry in <1 business day, came out same day, were professional and thorough in hunting down my problem and getting my lights all configured. 5/5, definitely will use them in the future.

Welborn Electric wired my house for a connection to my portable generator. They were prompt, professional, knew what they were doing, came with all the parts and knowledge to complete the job. Once the wiring was completed they took time to train me about how to switch to the generator power and then back to Duke Energy power. They also cleaned up their work area before departing. Welborn Electric Company is a winner !!!

My stove shocked me and so I called Welborn Electric. I asked for pricing for a consultation and they said they “couldn’t provide an estimate” and didn’t acknowledge their consult fee or hourly charges.

Worker came out and told me nothing was wrong with the electricity. This obviously bothered me as I got electrocuted badly on the stove. I showed him the wiring on the side of the house and he said “oh, that looks bad.” He took a picture and said he’d write me a quote for that repair. When I asked him how much I owed him for the visit he said there was no charge because he “didn’t do anything.” I never received that quote or an update about the repair that needed to be done. I did, however, receive a bill for over $200...after being told By the worker that the consult was free.

I understand that skilled laborers deserve high pay, but I do not appreciate being misled. My dad and I both tried talking to the company and they insisted the bill was accurate and that there were no notes about any problems with my electricity on file. I was prepared to let it all go and then I decided to use my stove...

When I say near-death experience, I’m not exaggerating: I got shocked through my whole body, the control knobs sparked and actual embers came up from the unit into the air. All my power went out with a loud bang. I do not understand how a professional electrician looked at that stove and told me there wasn’t a problem. It’s one thing to be expensive, but it’s another thing to tell someone their electronics are safe when they clearly are not. Go with a different company.

We were having a concrete patio poured in two days and needed a wire repaired in that area. I called several electricians and Wellborn Electric was the only company that was available to come out the very next day!! Two guys showed up on time and were extremely professional and did an outstanding job!! Would definitely use them again.

I called Shannon with Welborn Electric to finish up a job after I had to fire the original electrical contractor that I hired to wire my 12x20 foot utility building. Shannon took over the job, provided a reasonable estimate, and his team - who were most professional and accommodating - quickly finished the work; the city inspector signed-off on the electrical final without any problems at all (it took the original contractor four (4) attempts to pass the electrical rough-in). I am most certainly not an electrician, but I successfully renovated my own house; I know good quality work when I see it, and Welborn's people did a fine job.

We at D H Griffin Wrecking Company have been using Welborn Electrix for the past 19 years. They have always serviced us in a professional and timely manner. I would highly recommend them for any commercial or residential project that you might have.

Welborn Electrical Contractors did a great job at my home they were in out within no time. I had some lighting upgrades installed and they have saved my home energy and provided such a brighter atmosphere. Welborn Electric is my go-to company. No job is too big or too small and they don't blow you off with outrageous quotes like some of the other electric companies I have dealt with. Augustine & Johnathan just installed a ceiling fan and some electric work in the basement. They are fantastic, polite friendly and their work is top notch. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very nice, professional, thorough and clear explanations of issues. I also called the owner with an issue and he was able to navigate me through the problem, figured out what it was on the phone and directed me what I needed to do. Gave me time while he knew the issue was outside the home and did not charge me for expertise. Easily could have sent someone out, charge me to tell me the issue was not with my home.
