Air Central is just the best in service!! Showed up same day on this hot middle of summer day. My tech today was the grandson of its founder. So happy to see the family legacy continue and grow! Very polite and informative young man!

My HVAC guy retired a few years ago and of course during this 97 degree temp my unit decided to fail. I figured I’d be lucky to get someone out in a couple days much less a couple hours. Darren arrived and had us up and running in an hour. I appreciate their prompt service and I now have a new go to company.

I’ve been a customer of Air Central for over 10 yrs! I love their maintenance plan and trust them if i have an issue. I recently had an issue with a 12yr HVAC - it took a few visits to figure out the issue but once they found it they also realized it was under warranty so it was replaced cheaper.

Long time customers of Air Central of the Carolinas and we continue to be very pleased with their service. We purchased all three of our new units from them over the past several years and use their Fall and Spring check up service. Excellent. Technician Darren is exceptional.

I appreciate the quick service to come and help us with an A/C problem on the same day that we called the company. That is exceptional service, we got a call before the technician arrived, our technician was professional and explained to me what issue we had.
I only gave 4 stars because I believe that being charged a diagnosis fee while I agreed to have my A/C repaired it is a bit much. In my understanding that is a fee you normally get charged when you request a company to come out to diagnose a problem and you don’t use their services after receiving diagnosis.
Overall, I recommend Air Central of the Carolinas.

Called on Thursday morning and a technician was out Friday afternoon. Darren was great. Answered all my questions and was a joy to speak with. Diagnosed the issue and explained the process. The system was extremely low on coolant. Filled the coolant and explained the timetable for the system to recover and the house to cool. Went as he described. Great experience all around. Thank you.

Wesley and his entire team provided first class service throughout our entire HVAC and Furnace replacement with Air Central of the Carolinas. We were referred to Wesley by a top GC in town who uses Air Central, saying that they provide top quality service and strong pricing relative to some of the higher marketed providers in Charlotte.

Wesley got back to me with a quick quote that was competitively priced on what it would cost to replace our two 18-year units. We got in the schedule quickly. Incidentally, the compressor on one of our units blew out right after scheduling the replacement, and Wesley had his team come out and provide two window units (at no cost to us) to hold us over for a couple days until his team could install the new units.

The install team was polite, professional and efficient. It’s been 100 degrees in Charlotte the last couple of weeks, and our new units are functioning great! We will now be using Air Central for ongoing servicing and maintenance of the units, and I’ve already referred a friend to Air Central who had a problem with his AC. Air Central came out the next day and fixed everything at a great price.

I’d highly recommend Air Central of the Carolinas for all your residential HVAC needs and will be using only them myself going forward for as long as I remain in Charlotte!

We had used this company years ago, but have not had them out for a long while until today. They are as good as ever! They put in our last heat pump about 15 years ago and it’s working as good as ever. This is our go to HVAC company. Reliable, punctual, ethical, and pleasant. Highly recommend!

Air Central came out right after I called them. Darren quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem with my drain line. He explained everything very thoroughly. He was great and we are now cool again!!! Thanks for your prompt, efficient and professional service!! Highly recommend Air Central!!!

They performed an inspection on the home i was buying and was essentially told that all is well after clearing the drain line. 2/3 weeks later after closing on the home i get there and the AC is frozen over and not functional. Called to see about getting them back out and was informed that it would be another billable call, I wouldn't expect them to do repairs for free but I'd have hoped that they would stand by their previous inspection/diagnosis since it was so recent and the AC had been off with the home empty in the interim.
The employees were very pleasant to interact with but overall I'm not happy with the experience and would recommend going with someone else who would stand by their work.

Edit in response to owner: the original purpose of the initial visit was to inspect the HVAC before purchasing the home, it was not to diagnose any problems as it was running fine at the time. Id be interested in that recording that they mentioned as I didnt even get into in my review the fact that my realtor who set up the call was under the impression that there was no bill for the inspection, I paid that anyways as it was the right thing to do. The owner is avoiding my entire complaint in that I had just paid for the unit to be inspected and then immediately afterwards when there is a problem wants me to pay again for them to come out and inspect again. Also this review shouldn't be a surprise as I mentioned that I was unhappy with this experience while on the phone with their office or coordinator. If the calls to the office are recorded they should maybe review that.
The propensity to deflect in the reply below rather than internally review a problem just solidifies that this isnt a business someone should work with.

UPDATE 11/14/2023: Labor to install failed inducer motor has risen from $99 5 or 6 years ago to $244 now. It takes less than an hour, so that's the new hourly rate I assume. I'm a little amazed that a top-notch American Standard furnace has had 2 failures in 4 years. The first just a few months after install. Now an inducer motor after 4 years. My previous Comfortmaker furnace lasted 30 years. I'm told HVACs these days last about 10, and if lucky, 15 years whether a "top" brand or not. I did fix a pressure switch's lines in the other furnace which were installed backwards when they installed the 2 systems. Negative to positive, and positive to negative. That caused the switch to click constantly for 5 or 6 seasons, perhaps weakening it. If the furnace refuses to run in the future I know where to look first. In any event, Darren again was great. Friendly, kind, informative, professional. Hope he stays my tech.

UPDATE 9/1/2023: As usual, service was top notch. A tree fell on one of the exterior AC units and Darren inspected it and gave a great estimate for the repair. Very professional and friendly folks.

UPDATE 10/2019: Purchased and had them install 2 complete HVAC systems (AC with matching furnaces). Outstanding equipment (American Standard) and job. Great price. Best installers I could imagine. Thank you, thank you!! These guys are the best. ....

ORIGINAL REVIEW: They did a furnace vent (inducer draft) motor replacement for less than half what Morris-Jenkins quoted, and the quality of work was top notch. They also replaced the blower run capacitor as preventive maintenance. I'm a retired systems engineer and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to system maintenance and repair. Thank you Air Central Of The Carolinas. You are now my "go to".

Called them out for a service call on a warranty issue which was a capacitor change out that took 10 minutes and they charged me $285 in service, diagnostic and labor fees! The $30 part was free, yahoo.

After my review they reached out and offered me a partial refund and I really do appreciate their speedy service. I recommend even if it’s warranty work you give a service quote before you book the appointment.

Excellent service and attitude, easy to deal with and knowledgeable about issues! The guys were respectful of the property and did a nice job making the new system blend in with the area. While my AC was out and I was waiting on new system they offered me the free use of window units to help cool my house. Would absolutely recommend Air Central of the Carolinas!
Added: With a recent problem they showed up same day got me back up and running in no time!

Extremely pleased with the courteous and knowledgeable service technician! He fixed our problem and explained our options going forward.

Technician was very knowledgeable and professional diagnosing the issue with our AC quickly and replaced the part that got cool air flowing again. He was unable to find the warranty registration for our units but we located the registration after he left.

Air Central always does an excellent job of maintaining our heating and cooling systems. The technician who came today was polite, efficient and knowledgeable.

Devin was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and a wonderful person to work with. I will highly recommend him and Air Central to everyone I know.
