Our mower had broken and we had let the grass grass grow out of control. A neighbor recommended James at Yard Rescue and I contracted James to mow our yard the next time he did our neighbors.

James was on time and professional. I recommend James at Yard Rescue for your lawn needs.

Needed pruning and cleanup on my trees, bushes and other vegetation on my property. Yard Rescue was recommended by others. I contacted Yard Rescue and James DeGroff responded and made several recommendations based on my yard needs. The work was completed in a timely manner at a reasonable price. I would definitely use Yard Rescue again and recommend them for someone else’s yard needs.

This crew takes such great care of our lawns!!! Living out of town can be stressful but knowing you have a reliable lawn care team that makes my properties shine helps tremendously! I can’t recommend them enough!!

Fantastic company to work with. Just bought a house and they were one of the only companies to even call us back. Got sod down just in time before winter for our dogs, freshened the flower beds, and rock landscaping.

While the zoysia is still getting fully established, it’s looking great in less than 9 months and our tenants (with small children) are loving it. After reaching out to Yard Rescue, James got in touch promptly. He came out and discussed our desires and told us his plan to bring our yard up to the level we desired. We terminated a contract with our existing service and James took over. The work he performed was quite exemplary. But there are many facets to running a business and as a small business owner myself I take all aspects to heart. James performed 3 services at our Nags Head home, one was a large mulch job. After his third visit to our home we received a text message where he informed us he was cutting us as his clients. He had no referral for us to reach out to and no notice of his intent to no longer perform services for us. I responded to his text where we were “fired” in hopes of having a conversation with him but I never received a response. My truth in this review is we were impressed by the work he did and were not offended with his pricing but we caution you if you’re in the market for someone actually committed when they commit to your job/project.

James from Yard Rescue has been servicing our lawn for about 18 months. The difference has been phenomenal, it went from patchy grass with weeds to a lush green lawn. James is professional and responsive to any inquiries. I would highly recommend using Yard Rescue for your lawn care needs.

James, the owner responded to my calls and texts immediately. He came to give me estimate as soon as possible. Estimate was very fair. He was polite and professional. Didn't have to wait too long neither to get work completed.
Darren, his worker did an excellent job on my back yard that was totally overgrown. I don't know what type of Toro mulching mower he uses, but my yard almost looks pristine, (smooth and more level) compared to the small jungle it was. Wish I had before/after pics. He might. Darren also went out of his way to add finishing touches which cleaned it up even more! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for yard work. Nice people, fair pricing, outstanding work!

Yard Rescue did a great job pf clearing out my entire yard, removing some half dead trees and overgrown bushes.

James and his team did an excellent job in removing a large amount of bushes and shrubs prior to mulching and cleaning up our entire large yard. It now looks very good. James also completed the job on short notice and his team did a fine job.

Yard Rescue exceeds their company name and reputation. The company owner fields all correspondence and every meeting as well as scheduled days. James and the yard maintenance team show up precisely on time. (The Outer Banks has a notorious reputation for company's and individuals who just do not show up after making a commitment.) Their work is stellar!

James and team are extremely reliable and do an amazing job keeping our yard looking fabulous! In addition to regular lawn maintenance and weed control, we've had Yard Rescue complete special projects for us. They are great with communication, show up when they say they will, and for special projects, got us on their calendar quickly and the results were exactly what we hoped for.
