Reviews of local pros in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina

I am the facilities manager at Liberty Christian Fellowship and Camp Emmanuel. We have just started using yard rescue for turf management/ treatment for our church lawn and camp waterfront. James is so responsive, considerate and honest. He ANSWERS HIS PHONE, shows up when he says he will and does his work with great integrity. He gives 110% and stands by his work. Very grateful to find Yard Rescue.

I really appreciated James and Evan working with me for seven hours yesterday selectively weed eating grasses and trimming bushes/vines at 16 beach accesses in Southern Shores as well as at the Association’s Hillcrest property. What we did greatly improved the accesses’ functionality and appearance aesthetically. This means a lot consciously or unconsciously to the thousands of beach access users (residents and visitors) in the summer as well as year around. Highly recommend Yard Rescue for any of your grounds maintenance needs.

Excellent work and beautiful results. Owner was very attentive to our needs and prompt with various estimates. Would work with them again with no hesitation.

James has transformed our yard! It was thin and patchy; in a few short months it looks so much better! When we had some construction involving digging in the yard, he came out the next day with sod. Very knowledgeable, effective, relaible and customer oriented. Thanks, James!

Yard Rescue is a great company! We needed yard work on a yard that had not been serviced in many months. James the owner was quick to return my call (even during their most busy season) and made time in his busy schedule to trim the trees, cut the grass and clean up the yard. He is very responsive and willing to work with us to get a landscape design. He has a lot of great ideas. Yard Rescue is very professional and knowledgeable and treats his customers with great respect. I highly recommend this company.

We had Yard Rescue repair and rebuild a cactus garden at the front of our cottage that was destroyed by a reckless driver. James was very prompt with the cost estimates and
Evan and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job in rebuilding the garden area. We highly recommend their company and services.

James and his crew have been so attentive to both my personal property and my business property. Communication, accommodation and service is top notch! Highly recommended!

Our backyard needed some serious love. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but struggled to find the time to get it done ourselves. Gave Yard Rescue a call and James came out right away. He was excellent at providing ideas to go with our initial vision and brought it all together beautifully - in a very quick turnaround time too. We are very happy with the final product. Will definitely be recommending Yard Rescue to anybody in need of landscape services.

We have too many large pine trees to count in our yard. Pine cones and straw were everywhere. Plus, several recent wind storms brought down lots of limbs. Things had not been cleaned up in months. The Yard Rescue team came to our rescue today! They did an excellent job and got things looking great. Work was done quickly and thoroughly on date projected and at the cost estimated. We highly recommend them and hope to get their help again.

Professional and dependable are words that describe this company. They come monthly to treat my yard of Bermuda grass and he is dependable and knows what he is doing. My yard looks great ( I wish Mother Nature would water us more). I am located in Kitty Hawk.

Super professional work, looked amazing and done lightning fast. James the owner is super easy to work with and prompt with communication. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

The absolute best lot clean up ever. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to see the ditch completely cleaned out. The marsh and small trees were so overgrown on the lot. They got it down to the ground and cleaned it up. I highly recommend Yard Rescue LLC.

James was outstanding from day one. Accessible, on point, excellent communication, reasonable, has great ideas, but above all, he delivers what he preaches. I will definitely continue with his services.

James and his crew brought our house into the 21st Century. He's professional, flexible, responsive, timely, patient, knowledgeable, dependable, and talented. That's a lot yet it's not an exaggeration! Do not delay in hiring Yard Rescue- you won't be disappointed!

I have been using Yard Rescue for various landscaping jobs at my property for the past 5-6 years. James and his crew have been very responsive and fairly priced for the services they performed. Yesterday they cleaned up my flower beds and remulched all the beds (photo attached). I also use them for weed control/fertilization. I would highly recommend Yard Rescue for all of your landscaping needs.

James and his crew were very responsive and attentive throughout the process. He came right out to assess the project, was friendly and professional and scheduled our project in a timely manner. They trimmed back some overgrown Pampas grass plants as well as some other shrubs and bushes and did a nice job cleaning up the debris as well. We will definitely keep then at the top of the list for future landscape projects!

James was a pleasure to deal with and his crew was on time and prepared every day they worked on my yard. Evan led his crew efficiently and did an outstanding job. They even helped me make the right gravel, boulders, and paver choices to get my yard looking better then new. Top tier group of guys.

Yard Rescue lives up to its name! My recently purchased beach house landscaping needed major renovation. Years of overgrowth obscured the house and just looked shabby.
Now it has been brought back to its original splendor. See the before image and the after shots.

James was responsive, knowledgeable, timely, and professional! He helped me figure out what needed to be done to perform a major yard overall, sent pictures, and explained everything in detail ahead of time. His estimate was half that of other companies! The work was performed in a timely and efficient manner. The results were amazing and the yard has never looked so good! It is obvious that James and his crew take care and pride in their work. I recommend Yard Rescue without hesitation!

James, Evan, and crew did an awesome job on our property. They planted perennials, spread mulch, created stone beds running the length of our driveway, cleared a ton of poison ivy/overgrowth, seeded & laid sod on our lawn, created a mulch frame for our kids' swingset, and installed an irrigation system. They graded our lawn and put stone down in drainage areas. They even put our swingset together for us. It was a ton of work and a lot of stone. They were organized, efficient, and hard-working, not to mention friendly. Communication was excellent. They arrived when they said they would and gave us some great ideas along the way. 10/10 would hire again.

Built me a great looking fence, would definitely recommend.
