We lost everything during COVID. We had a chain of restaurants that closed. COVID killed our headquarters leased from Farmah imperial corners. We paid him close to 250,000 in rent for two years trying to reopen. He did not give rent abatement. He hurt us. We paid our rent and closed our shop. Few people came back to work in Rtp for the last 3 years. We took everything we had in 401k and Home equity and purchased a place across the street. We built our new restaurant ourselves. The new carrier 7 Ton package a/c heat unit was not running correctly, and we are limited financially, so we tried to diagnose the problem ourselves to no luck. I googled hvac repair Durham. Everybody we spoke to wanted a 200 trip charge plus a diagnosing fee. This beautiful company FaceTimed me, and walked me through flipping my 3 phase wires to get the compressor running in the right direction. No charge. Kind is the least I can say about this outfit. Classy as well. Thank you for helping us get back on our feet and open our new restaurant, get back to making a living.

TRG was contracted to help upfit Sweet T Salon and successfully passed all mechanical inspections. When the mini split leaked water, Paul repair it quickly. The motor went out in our service area, the office sent Paul the next morning and repaired it in three days. Thank you TRG for helping from the start.

Tom did an excellent job diagnosing the problem with the heat. It was disturbing to find out that it was an installation issue! But what is most disturbing is to find out that the installers did not put a place for filter?!! There was a 25x20x1 filter in the old unit. Tom plans to quote an upgrade to allow for a larger filter 3" or 6". I don't mind paying for this upgrade but hope to get a discount for the previous mistake. Tom is the best, answered by questions, and will to discuss options.

We spent $10,000 on a new unit after being told our old system had “run its course.” You’d think for that price we’d receive top-notch service and installation. Instead, what we got was a masterclass in incompetence and indifference.

Let’s start with installation day: the crew left behind their uniform tops and bootie covers, and even managed to damage our wall. They came out to patch it, but that was just the beginning of the nightmare.

Shortly after installation, we were hosting 30 guests for a birthday party, and guess what? The brand-new system didn’t work. It was 90 degrees outside, and inside wasn’t much better. The first technician came out, casually said the vents “weren’t open,” commenced to bend the vents in our entire house, and then left. Spoiler: the system still didn’t work. A second technician eventually discovered that the damper hadn’t been installed correctly. Unbelievable.

Fast forward to October, when we turned on the heat for the first time to just take the chill out of the house. Surprise, surprise — it didn’t work either. Another technician came out and found that valves hadn’t been installed correctly. The unit had actually shut itself down because it was taking on water.

Here’s the worst part: not once throughout this entire ordeal has the manager or owner bothered to call, apologize, or offer any kind of discount or gesture for the repeated inconvenience and their sloppy work. For a company that claims to be a “trusted local service,” the lack of accountability is astounding.

The technicians were really apologetic and the girl that answers the phone was very apologetic as well. But, between the botched installation, repeated system failures, and lack of quality control I wouldn’t trust Triangle Repair Group to install a box fan, let alone a $10K HVAC system.

Save yourself the headache and frustration — go with literally anyone else.

The heating system was not stopping when the set temperature was reached. The TRG technician, Brian Williams, patiently went through the troubleshooting process and identfed the problem as originating with the main board for the zone control systme. He returned the next day to replace the main control board and stayed until the problem was verified to be resolved. Brian displayed excellent diagnostic skills identifiying and fixing the problem, he kept us informed throughout the process, and was willing to accept supervision from our cat. The office staff at TRG was extremely helpful in all of our communications and did a great job getting our service scheduled the same day we called.

Became a new customer in 2024 with their annual maintenance promotion; repair to duct system this year. TRG's consistently outstanding, thorough and professional with fair / reasonable pricing. Talk about efficiency!!! After calling more than 20 HVAC companies all morning trying to get service for a commercial unit at our shop, TRG was the only one able to step up. Honestly, I had my doubts…if everyone else couldn’t handle the challenge, what made this company different? But man… they proved me so wrong.

Brandon, our tech, showed up in the afternoon and immediately demonstrated a level of professionalism that’s extremely rare nowadays. He was incredibly knowledgeable, eager to work, and even took the time to explain what he was diagnosing as he went. It’s easy to feel like some tradesmen try to take advantage.. upsell you, overcharge, or push things you don’t need. That was absolutely NOT the case with Brandon.

We were very satisfied with our service call. Diego, our service technician, was polite, professional, and knowledgable. He adjusted the percentage of outdoor air entering the inside of the house, and the indoor temperature is more consistent. He also showed me how to change the filter.

Jordan was very collaborative, I was unable to be home during his visit, but I had someone at home to make sure Jordan had access to the attic. But he communicated well and he was able to give me a reasonable price.

After my AC was fixed they forgot to turn the gas back on after installing the AC unit part. Ron came and quickly found the problem and my heat was restored!

These guys were AWESOME! I attended a home show in the Raleigh area, and these guys gave me so much great useful information regarding the air in my home. Will definitely purchase in the next couple months.
