RCS did a great job of encapsulation our crawlspace, on time, and coordinating with the other workers getting our crawlspace in shape. I recommend them for this type work without reservations.

So far so good. We used them for mold remediation and waterproofing the crawlspace on a home we recently purchased. Owner is very responsive and professional. His workers arrived pretty late (around 4:40pm)..I thought they were going to arrive early morning...won't knock off any stars because it could have been me due to me not reading my emails.

Make sure you check their work! They damaged more than they fixed in my crawlspace and didn't complete the job. You're better off finding someone that will do professional-quality work.

I hired Ben to follow through on recommendations he had made during a home inspection when I was looking to buy the house. Those were: 1) remove some mold that was beginning to grow and replace damaged insulation, 2) install a second dehumidifier in the front of the crawlspace where there was high humidity, and 3) service the existing dehumidifier.

For #1, two workers were down in the crawlspace all day taking care of that problem. Hopefully that means they did a good job there.

For #2, they installed the second dehumidifier right next to the existing along with a condensate pump that had an obscure 6-15P plug that couldn't be plugged in. They didn't even turn on the dehumidifier when they left, which entirely defeats the purpose of having it! That would have resulted in additional mold growing in the humid part of the crawspace.

For #3, they replaced the air filter with one that is too small so there's a giant gap where the air now enters through the intake unfiltered. That is going to result in dust gumming up the unit and shorten its lifespan.

At some point while working they bumped some wires leading to my AC and caused a fault. I was left without AC for several days until I hired an HVAC expert to diagnose the problem and fix it. That cost me $75 out of pocket.

They also shattered the only lightbulb in the crawlspace and left those shards of glass scattered on the ground along with some other trash.

I contacted Ben and some of the things above were fixed: the new dehumidifier was moved to the right location (and turned on!), the condensate pump was replaced with one that could be plugged in, much of the trash was picked up and a new lightbulb was added. He doesn't want to take responsibility for the broken AC. He also claimed that the undersized air filter was acceptable because he manufacturer discontinued that dehumidifier, but I went to the manufacturer's website and they make it really easy to purchase the factory-recommended filter for that exact model.

Ben is knowledgeable and honest! As an area realtor I have had the pleasure of recommending RCS to many of my clients. He always knocks their socks off. Excellent work and ethical.

The guys at RCS did a great job encapsulating my crawlspace.
They laid down the new thick 12mil vapor barrier on the ground and up the walls of the crawlspace. They also removed debris and they sealed all entrances.

We were selling our home and there was concern from the buyer about possible hidden moisture due to a lack of tyvek wrap. RCS was recommended and they were able to not only take moisture readings, but also utilize thermal imaging to show that there were no current moisture issues. This was a great comfort to our buyer and helped seal the deal on the sale of our home. The report was very professional and included images from their evaluation. Very thorough and professional.
