Great company and great team. They removed my old chain-link fence and installed a wood one that looks great. The crew was very nice and polite. Some of best workers I've dealt with and would recommend this crew and company to anyone that wants a fence installed.

Working with Index Fence was a great experience. Alex demonstrated extensive knowledge and a friendly demeanor as we explored various fencing options during my appointment booking. Once our HOA gave the green light, their team was promptly scheduled to arrive within the week. They completed the installation swiftly and beautifully in just two days. Index just completed our white vinyl privacy fence in Wendell and overall, my wife and I are very happy. Index was on par with some of the other companies we got quotes from but their price was slightly lower. Another company claimed that they were the only one in the area that used cement footers for all of their posts and that’s why their cost was higher but I watched INDEX and they used concrete for every single one and it is very sturdy. My only “negative” would be that I did not expect it to take a few days, but then again, it is a lot of fence and I’m from New Jersey where EVERYONE moves faster, lol. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend Index Fence! Cameron and the entire team were helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. They also helped with our HOA approval and town permit. When it came time to install the fence, they completed the job in 2 days!

Index Fence did a great job removing my old fence and installing a new wood fence customized to match a fence style that I found online. Everyone that I encountered from the initial visit for the estimate, through the planning phase, and during the installation was a pleasure to work with. The men who installed the new fence did an excellent job communicating with me and making sure that the work they were doing met my expectations along the way. The process was timely, neat, and the fence looks great!

We had Index Fence install aluminum/iron railings on a newly constructed retaining wall. We are very happy with the final product and their price was very competitive and they were very responsive and came several times to measure and give us quotes and options which we could not get from others. Both Miguel, Steven and other workers were very friendly, professional and did everything to make sure we were happy with the work. They also did some additional work without charge which was not part of the contract. I highly recommend them and will use again if there is a need for a fencing work. There were some delays due to covid and it is completely understandable and they kept us informed of the situation since it was custom job.

Index Fencing did a great job on my wood fence installation. Quick demo and installation. Jason’s team were responsive, efficient and listened to my concerns about having the bottom of the fence low enough to keep out rabbits and dogs. Very thorough with how even and professional the panels lined up on uneven terrain. Definitely recommend them.

Index fence did a great job building my vinyl fence. Very impressed, fast response great customer service. Installation took 1 day just as they promised. The crew was amazing. Highly recommend 5 stars all the way!!!!

I just moved into a new home and was eager to get a fence up so that my dog could enjoy the yard. I reached out to Index Fence and heard back from them that day and a couple days later we were plotting out the fence. My yard is a little tricky because I wanted the fence to run between some trees and there are several veins of granite running through the property, not to mention some awkwardly placed septic caps. Despite a couple of setbacks (that granite I mentioned earlier required some extra work) Index Fence got everything installed and it looks great! Everyone from the office to the project consultants to the workers were super friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend Index Fence!

We just moved to the Knightdale area, and the house we bought needed a fence. This was a very high priority for our situation. We hired another fencing company in May of 2021 (I won't state the company that we initially hired). Eight weeks later, we had no fence, and we were not even put on the schedule. We finally decided to get our deposit back, and we were going to try another contractor. We found Index Fence, Inc., and the reviews were excellent. I contacted this business, and 8 days later, our fence was installed! The crew that did the installation were very professional and polite. We couldn't be happier with this company! We HIGHLY recommend this business if you need a fence!

Top notch professional company. I worked with Camden and the owner on 2 separate occasions to have 2 different fences installed at our home and they were extremely timely, professional, and helpful. They do quality work and are willing to help and answer any questions along the way. We had 450' of vinyl fence installed and it was completed same day and came out fantastic. We also had a black aluminum fence installed on a separate occasion by them and they did an amazing job. Lastly, one day while running heavy machinery in my backyard I damaged 2 of the vinyl fence pickets. I reached out to Camden and the owner and they were prompt to come and and fix them for me without issue. I cant speak highly enough of index fence, i will recommend them to everyone going forward.

I had a black aluminum fence installed on 3/26/2020. The rep came to my house and measured and reviewed my options with me. His name was Matt Fehm. Matt helped me work through planning with permits and such. On the day of install the crew showed up on time and reviewed with me what they had planned. Carlos was my head installer. I had about 200 feet of fence and 2 gates. From start to finish the install day only took 1 day. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards and left no trace they were here other than a great looking fence. I would recommend these folks to anyone looking to update or add a fence.

I have ZERO complaints about my experience with Index Fencing! Cameron who came out for my quote was so friendly and welcoming. Behzad in the office is also very friendly!

I met the owner Miguel Pagan and his crew while they were installing a beautiful fence in my neighborhood. I introduced myself and gave Miguel my information. Figured I might hear back in a few days but was pleasantly surprised to have him ring my doorbell a couple of hours later!

We had kind of a unique situation because we weren’t looking for the typical fence in our yard. We simply needed an area big enough to contain our two small dogs and grandson that would also be pleasing to the eye. Miguel explained clearly what he could do within my budget and we had a deal!!!

Two days later his crew showed up (great people) and worked most of the day to create a gorgeous backyard courtyard for our precious grandson and dear pups!

I can’t give 100 stars like Index Fence deserves but hopefully you’ll give them a call for your fencing needs.

I agree with several reviewers.. if I could give more stars I would. Scheduling the appointment was easy. Working with Cameron was easy. He was so patient with me with the timing of everything since there were a few HOA restrictions to figure out and get approved, etc. I was able to schedule the installation on the day and time that worked for my schedule. The crew that did the installation were efficient, easy to communicate with, and kept everything tidy. They cleaned up quickly when the job was done. The quality of the cedar fence, the style, and the solid stability is nothing like I've ever had in previous homes. The double gate is so solid and I'm sure will never sag or shift like we've had happen in previous gates. Later when we got estimates to stain our fence from several paint companies, we were advised to have several splitting boards replaced before staining, and Cameron was able to fit the repair in between jobs in a timely manner. The same crew came out, and was so efficient that after their inspection they found a few other boards that started to split that I didn't notice, and they replaced them too. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship of the fence. Thank you Cameron, awesome crew, and Index! P.S. The stain shown in the pic (by SW in charcoal) was done by Five Star Painting, who is also amazing, which I'll explain in my review on their page!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Cameron, Miguel, and the entire Index Fence Inc team were kind, professional, and delivered exceptional results with outstanding speed. They installed the fences at both my house and my mother’s house across the street and I could not believe how fast and efficiently they worked. Despite the speed, quality was not compromised; everything was done to the highest standard. Their team was easy to communicate with, they answered any questions quickly and to our satisfaction, and they were very respectful of our property and kind to our family. Amazing job, amazing team, and amazing results. Now our kids and dogs can run around without worry. I would recommend Index Fence Inc to anyone in the Raleigh/Wake County area! After getting multiple quotes to fence in our backyard, we decided to choose Index Fence for the project. In addition to having great online reviews, their quoted price and communication were both fantastic. Jason and his team were able to complete about 600 feet of fence in 2 days and we couldn’t be happier with the result. They were able to accommodate our request for a mixed Woden privacy/wire fence and the finished product looks amazing. From start to finish, the whole process of working with them was so easy and I would 100% recommend them to anyone I know.

It's painful to leave a three-star review and I've thought long and hard about doing so. But companies have to live with the work they do and the decisions they make, and future customers deserve an honest take from fellow homeowners. Ultimately, I give Index three stars because:

- They sent out a crew that had never worked for them before. This made me feel like a guinea pig. The crew's work quality was so-so and the attention to detail was substandard. The job was supposed to take one day. It took two and the crew finished after it was fully dark on the second day. The crew was one young guy who did 80 percent of the work, one older gentleman who was operating at roughly quarter-speed, and the young guy's very pregnant wife who pitched in as well (which was a bit uncomfortable).

- Part of the fence was built flush with a small tree that was growing into the fence itself. That section of the fence was bowing inward mere days after installation. I had to make relief cuts in the tree just to relieve the pressure. Sloppy.

- There was an immense amount of debris left behind, mostly leftover chunks of concrete. I cleaned up 90 percent of it myself. Took me the better part of an hour. The posthole cement was sloppily poured on many posts ... jagged, unsightly, and obviously not something I can fix on my own. Sloppy.

- The gate was poorly built. It stopped latching cleanly after a week or so, and I had to request someone come back out and address it. The whole thing remains flimsy to this day, and now roughly nine months later, I have to wrestle the gate to get it latched. It's visibly out of true. I'm resigned to the reality that I may need to replace the entire gate at some point.

- I noticed a couple of boards beginning to warp after 3-4 months. The company declined to replace them. After all the other issues, it would've been good will on their part to replace them. Alas.

- I give three stars, and not two, because the company was responsive in general. They sent out a company rep to check out my concerns in person. But there were simply so many smaller issues that I wound up pressing for resolution only on the most important ones. Index did resolve several issues, but it seemed clear they were prepared to only go so far, leaving me with a job that felt 97 percent complete. I don't think my expectations for a fence were unrealistic. This particular crew just did mediocre work and ignored some obvious details, and it was pretty disappointing after coughing up $4K for the job.

I suspect your mileage will vary based on the crew you are assigned. Given that Index apparently farms out its jobs to a network of subcontractors, make sure you ask lots of questions about the crew you're getting (experience level, how many jobs done for Index, etc.). You may get a better result than I did.
