I've been working with OCI through my HOA for several years and they have always done great work for us. So, I hired them to do a small bathroom remodel. I replaced a tub surround with a step-in shower, replaced the toilet & replaced the tile flooring. The bathroom turned out beautiful!

We really appreciate Dustin and Rusty coming out and working to deal with the leak in our primary bathroom! Very professional and personable!

I live in a townhouse community and my HOA contracted Onofrio do do new roofs on ~100 of our units. I can't speak for their work on the roofs themselves, as I'm not up there and wouldn't know what to look for anyway. However, communicaiton with the team was pretty awful. I got a note on my door on January 3 or 4 that work would begin on shingles Jan 4 (thursday)- Jan 8 (Monday). At that point they took down the gutters, but they did not begin work until January 18. We had several rainy days, so I understand the delays, but when they left that note and when they took down the gutters, they had not even begun the units across the street. So I've had 2 weeks (so far) with no gutters and some very heavy rain. Apparently gutters are backordered (not Onofrio's fault) so it will still be a while until I get gutters put up. At the very least, I wish they had wait to take them down.

I followed up with my HOA management company a couple times and they didn't have a firm start date for our roofs (again, understandable because that work is weather dependent). Woke up this morning to pounding because apparently they started my roofs today. By that point my car (in the garage) was blocked in so I had to cancel an appointment and scramble to move to working remotely. The letter they left suggested I park elsewhere and I did on January 4, not that that was at all helpful.

Had they left a note indicating the actual days of installation, or at least days close to the correct days, I would have given them at least 4 stars. Had they waited until a couple days prior to beginning work to take down the gutters (instead of 2+ weeks), it would have been 5 stars. I have no complaints about the work itself, just the company's communication with homeowners.

Friendly, professional technicians did a wonderful job installing tile by our back door. They left the place spotless after they completed the job. Very satisfied 😌

I live in a townhome community and expressed concerns about water damage inside my home multiple times. They sent someone out previously from another company with no resolution. After more damage occurred, Foy identified the issue, approval for repairs obtained, and he came back to personally make repairs. Foy is very personable and professional and cleaned up afterwards. Service provided was construction not listed below. Thank you.

Onofrio Construction did an outstanding job building our addition in Cary, NC. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, efficient, and impressively fast without sacrificing quality. Their team was professional, responsive, and clearly experienced—every phase of the project was completed with attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. Communication was clear throughout, and they consistently delivered on timelines and expectations.

We’re extremely happy with the final result and wouldn’t hesitate to hire Onofrio Construction again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality construction work.

Onofrio performed two stellar adjustments to my townhome, including securing my exterior siding and replacing an exterior door which had rotted out. The work was done on a very timely basis, with completely cleaned work space, and with like-new results! Staci in the office is an excellent communicator, and I look forward to 2 more upcoming jobs which I am requesting with Onofrio. Great team of professionals!

Five Stars – Outstanding Service and Craftsmanship!

We recently had a leak in the skylight in our living room that led to trapped moisture and damage to the surrounding drywall. Knowing how quickly these types of issues can escalate, we reached out to Onofrio Construction—and they responded immediately.

They were on-site the very next day to assess the situation, open up the damaged area, and begin drying it out. From start to finish, the communication was clear, the crew was professional, and the quality of the work was excellent. Within two weeks, the entire space was fully repaired and looked better than ever.

They also took the initiative to work directly with our insurance company, handling the estimates and payment coordination, which took a huge burden off of us.

It’s rare to find a general contractor who responds so quickly and handles a project with this level of care and efficiency. We’re incredibly grateful for their work and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others.

Terrible to deal with. Fraudulent allowances. Doesn't follow his own contract. Terrible quality and they don't fix issues unless you give more money.

I know flooring and Doug's brought me in to work with him on a few recent projects. His craftmanship is second to none and I don't think that I can say anything short of his business skills and professionalism. He's a great guy and I hope to work with him again.

ECI Construction Services, Inc. (i.e. Doug Muhle) built a home for us, on our farm in Granville County, NC....during the Spring/Summer/Fall of 2015. Doug and his team were a pleasure to work with.....from site selection & initial design, through project completion. Their project communication process was very good and they kept us on track, in making our various product selections. During the construction process, they kept the jobsite clean and orderly. When the home was turned over to us, it was clean, everything had been verified functional/operational and the landscaping was very neatly done. I would recommend Doug and his team for your new home or remodel project.

ECI Custom Homes built me a beautiful custom home back in October. Doug and his employees were very patient with me while picking out choices and changing my mind a few times, their building process went smooth the entire time and I always got responses back quickly when I had questions I would recommend this builder to anyone I am very happy with how my home turned out and wouldn’t have changed anything.

I just bought a new custom home from ECI Custom Homes. I looked at many other homes because it was my first home purchase, but when I stepped into this one I knew it was "The One". As a realtor, my clients' needs and goals are always my top priority. I recently had the pleasure of assisting a long-time client in building their forever home. We consulted with several builders during the process, and ultimately decided to contract with ECI Custom Homes. Doug and his team at ECI did an outstanding job. They built an amazing custom home that my clients are truly thrilled with.

I have been following my brothers build with this firm for the past couple of years. I have built two homes and have friends that are in the construction industry. So I asked a lot of questions As my brother was going through this process. I wish I had lived closer and I could’ve helped him to avoid working with this disaster. There were many warning signs. But he went ahead anyway. He is not happy with the results. Extra costs overall but most notably change orders that were out of control, verbal agreements that were conveniently forgotten, forcing use of vendors who had cozy relationships with the firm, including family relationships with prices that were excessive compared to fair market. And lastly, failure to follow up as per the agreed contract warranty within a year. Documented issues include flooring buckling, electrical problems, drywall seams separating, small leaks. The date is coming up on one year and the builder refuses to inspect and or repair these issues. Denying there are issues or simply not Responding. I have suggested my brother contact an attorney and I am considering funding it. I think they think most people don’t have the means or wherewithal to hire attorneys and fight for themselves. It is not pleasant, but in this case it Would be warranted. Stay away from these guys or make sure you have an attorney look at the contract in great detail before you sign it.
