I had a 240v line installed for my EV charger. After the install, the breaker kept tripping. James Barlow from NC Express came out and quickly and efficiently troubleshooted the install and made the necessary modifications. Now my charger works perfectly even at its max of 40 amps. James was very knowledgeable and even taught me alot as he worked. Based upon this interaction, I would highly recommend NC Exprrss Electrical Service for anyone looking to install an EV charger.

Gordon did a great job updating all the electrical work needed to install a new garbage disposal. Things were in such bad shape before he got here that he had to deal with a lot of crud to get things looking new, but he didn't complain. He got everything working just right and today I had a plumber install a new garbage disposal with no problems. Gordon was also very friendly and explained everything he was doing --- not that I always understood, but it's good to see what's happening. I found him very capable and diligent and he really seems to love his work. Definitely recommend.

Great Job by Judah Reeves! I hired NC Express Electrical Sevices for a Tesla charger installation. Judah did an awesome job. He was here for the free estimate and installation. The installation was perfect!

Judah was great, we had a very difficult circuit issue where the breaker would pop intermittently. He went through all the plugs and found the issue. Judah is very friendly and a pleasure to have working on my home.

James was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and polite. He answered questions, explained everything as he was working and cleaned up after he finished. If we have a need for any future electrical work we will definitely contact Express Electrical Service and ask if James is available. Thanks.

So for the last week and a half there's been this low hum throughout the house, and as the probability of me being the most neurotic person in their service area is extremely high, this noise was driving me to madness. I called and they had a dude (Jimmie) out in less than two hours and he was great. Checked all the things, narrowed down the source of the hum (attic fan reverberating off everything), and made observations about the fluctuating voltage and multiple splices in the line coming into the house that the power company had told me was totally fine (I'm not that dumb and we're getting a new one). Anyways, the visit was super reasonable and I was super glad I called them.

We had a problem with our smoke detectors. NC Express Services was quick to respond to our call. Lisa from the office was friendly and professional on the phone and set up the service call promptly. They sent James out ASAP. James was very professional and solved the problem quickly. He explained what he had done to solve the problem and what we would be charged for for full transparency. He did not sneak in any unnecessary charges. We are pleased with the service we received and would recommend.

Judah was a delight! Competent, thorough, articulate, and kind. He diagnosed our issue quickly, ran a few tests to make sure the issue was fixed completely, explained our options moving forward, and communicated his willingness to provide future support. If you have to deal with an unfortunate utility issue, Judah is the guy. Will def be contacting EES again if needed.

Start with the good: Was easy to schedule and the electrical work was professional. The tech was competent and pleasant. On the downside: it cost us just as much to hire people to clean up and repair the related damage as it was for the project itself, essentially doubling the cost and hassle. Finally, the company has work to do to be as customer-centric or as easy to do business with to deserve of a 5-star rating.

We decided to try NC Express because they offered FREE estimates, something not that common with other electrical services. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. James arrived on time, and provided sound and honest information. He was not pushy and offered alternatives to the issues we raised. For example, having researched parts pricing, I found the parts too expensive when supplied by the company. James indicated that he could use customer supplied parts (although they would not be warranted). Once my parts arrived, the job was completed in half the time estimated and the job site was cleaned well. Overall, while I was happy with the service, I thought the pricing was higher than it should have been. The service fee was to be expected, but there was also a "dispatch fee" and permit fee (which totaled more than I had anticipated).

Express Electrical Service was super easy to work with and they did a great job. Glad that we were partnered together.
