I am a contractor. Called this company as a recommended vendor. The gentleman answering the phone was rude, unprofessional, and dismissing.
Not like the solid recommendation as a real go getter and a guy who can see a project through.
I almost fill I was sent to him as a joke.

The owner of this business handled my service call an actually explained everything before doing the work. The work was handled in a reasonable time frame and with the utmost professionalism. I would def recommend Surge.

Fantastic service. Extremely professional and knowledgeable as they've managed to sort out very odd electrical problems. I have tried a number of Raleigh electricians over the years and this crew is hands down my favorite.

Reasonably priced, does a great job. Have used twice and completed jobs in less than an hour. Was professional and well experienced. I have used others but Surge will be my electrician for now on, unless something changes.

Unbelievable service!! I called them at 1:15 p.m. and left a message and it is now 2:05 p.m. and I am writing this review. We had an issue where our entire master bedroom was out of power. We suspected that it was an open outlet. They called me back promptly and were able to come right away. It was, indeed, a loose wire but they were kind enough to replace the whole outlet to be sure it was not compromised from the overheating that has been occurring. I will DEFINITELY be calling them again. Thanks!!!!

I actually didn't have any work done by Surge, but I have to say that when I do need work the next time, they'll be the place I call. I had a power outage to 1/2 of my house, and assuming it was an electrical problem within the house, I called them on "spec" after reading reviews on Angie's List. They told me it would be worth my while to call the power company first, because there was a possibility that it could be something to do with power coming in to the house. They said to call them if it didn't turn out to be the power company. As it turns out, it was the power company. You have GOT to trust a company that doesn't come out to your house at the drop of a hat to charge you a service charge at the least and then tell you it's the power company. It was an honest answer for an honest problem, and the next time I have an electrical issue or need something installed, Surge is the place I'm calling!

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK!!!"

I called this company because of their 7 positive reviews!!! What a MISTAKE!!!... The owner of this business came to my home to check the doorbell which was not chiming determined that it was a circuit breaker issue and after 15 min. of trouble-shooting turned the doorbell back on via the circuit breaker and wanted to charge me $176 which I vehemently protested and refused to pay!!!... I was willing to pay the $99 service charge for coming out to troubleshoot this issue but not $176 to turn my circuit breaker on!!!
After going around and around about this he relented and charged me $134 which was still too much for simply turning my circuit breaker on!!!... Basically I was Scammed!!! Conned!!! and Tricked!!! and will NEVER used this company again!!!...

We have used John exclusively at our business. He does great work and is easy to reach, unlike many vendors who make repairs a nightmare. Couldn't recommend Surge more.

John is a great guy to do business with. Even though I had made a *stupid* mistake and the fix was to flip a light switch [duh!] - he was very fair in the way he treated me. He left with me feeling overwhelming embarrassment, but I now have a great respect for John, what he does and how he does it. I will, without a doubt, be calling Surge Electric for anything that comes up in the future. Do it yourself and you won't be sorry.

John is great, he does great work, he is honest and is very fair with his prices. John was so easy to work with and was over quickly. I will keep using his services. I wish everyone i dealt with was this honest!

John responded quickly to a semi-urgent need I had for a new electrical circuit to be installed. He got the job done sooner than initially expected. Very pleased with great service and fair pricing!

Surge Electric came early in the morning and were gone by lunch time after installing brand new lighting fixtures in and out of my house. Then added an outlet in my backyard. Great job and very professional. I am very pleased with the work. It turned out better than I expected.
