DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Absolutely terrible service. This company can't even wire up and program a thermostat correctly. They do not know how to size equipment, install, start-up, or commission any type of mechanical equipment correctly. They should be ashamed of themselves.

5 Star Mechanical HVAC was the only company able to solve my problem and go beyond my expectations. My wife and I are thoroughly greatfull to them after months of needing help!

I don't recommend this service. Our warranty company sent them to us.
The owner usually doesn't come himself and send young guy instead. (there is no complains about the guy, he is nice and polite, doing his job). Review is addressed to the owner and his bussiness.

It took a long time for them to find the issue. When they finally found the issue, of course this brocken part does not covered by warranty, so we had to pay for the part and work (which is fine). we have a newborn in the house and we needed AC to be fixed ASAP, as it's very hot in summer and impossible to sleep without AC. They said this part is always in stock so they will replace it very quicly 1-2 days he said (that was a lie). In reality It took forever before they came back to get it fix.
they charged us few times more for the part, than it should be and they promised to give us a receipt (another lie). Already more than 2 weeks we have waiting for a receipt. (We remind them often, but they just ignore our messages)

we already paid you, JUST GIVE US A RECEIPT! we need it for accounting.

If I could give no stars I would. Submitted online paperwork to the home warranty company late, which delayed ordering the parts. One the part came in, they scheduled an appt and didn't show. Finally sent a text later that day saying they were in urgent Care and to contact our home warranty company. Ghosted us completely and never answered phone for days. Do not use this company. If you see this company from your home warranty, call and get a different one. Trust me. We haven't had working air for 3 weeks now and there is still no end in sight.

Have been using their services for many years servicing my rentals and my personal home. Had other big companies work on my stuff in the past, charge me a fortune and not really fix the problem. These guys are prompt, fair and will always have my business!

I used this service at recommendation of Realtor. They inspected a fireplace and determined it was not within code. I inspected and found it completely compliant and showed them the manufacturer information that I looked up. They were recommending installation of a whole new system and knew we were time sensative to close on house. Absolute manipulation and lies to upsell a product... DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!

5 Star Mechanical was despatched as HVAC repair from my home warranty company. They were professional, very responsive and understanding of my needs. They were able to work with the warranty company to get the parts expedited needed to repair my furnace the next day.

I'll use 5 Star Mechanical again for service and repair of my personal and investment properties.

I was contracted 5 star after our first company couldn't diagnose the issue. 5 star was assigned to us in Sept 22, and said they needed to order a condenser, which arrived in November 22. I was ok with that, it was cooler and not needed. Well fast forward to almost Feb and I have called over 8 times in the past three weeks, including twice by my home warranty only to be told by the warranty company they will no longer offer to replace my condenser, and now have to start this process all over again. Extremely upset with their professionalism, responding to multiple calls, messages, voicemails and more. Will never use them again

My home warrenty company sent this company to my home to fix my a/c unit. He was very unprofessional over the phone. Then when he came out with one of his employees he told me we just needed freon. Didn't even come inside and check the furnace in the attic..once I told him I knew we needed freon because it was completely out buy we added 2 poinds he had a entirely different story. Then he sent his worker in the attic to take pictures of the furnace and told me we needed a new evaporator coil. Mind you I only used him because my normal.a/c guy was out of town because we NEVER use the warrenty for our a/c unit because we have been burned before. He then said we would have to pay an additional $600 even after the warrenty when we knew for a fact our warrenty covered the repairs, but he stated they don't cover the parts he has to remove and put back to get the coil in place. I told him thanks and I would get a second opinion. My normal A/c person came out not even a hour later and fixed the problem and it wasn't a 2k evaporator coil. The issue was a bad capacitor that he replaced in 15 mins and had us back up and running. We have since canceled our warrenty with that company because if these are the kind of contractors they are using we want nothing to do with them. Also he came to our home on July 6th, he didn't submit report to my home warrenty until yesterday which was 21 days later. Thank God we have a reliable A/C guy because who can go that long without ac especially with an infant at home. My home warranty company selected this company to service my broken A/C unit. Ken and Bobby did a great job diagnosing the problem, ordering the specific compressor needed for my A/C unit, and repairing the unit quickly. They kept me informed of the process the entire time.

Soon after they finished the repair, my A/C stopped working again. Ken came out to fix the new problem (capacitor) quickly and even texted me the next day to make sure my A/C was still in working order.

Overall, they are a very good crew and I've been pleased with the level of courtesy and competence.

I have been using 5 Star Mechanical HVAC Services for the past three years. It's hard to find a company that is honest especially in this particular field. If you ever had a tech out to your house and stated that you need multiple items replaced or repaired and then look at the inspection sheet and it says something totally different? Then this is why you would want 5 Star Mechanical to service your equipment. My AC systems has been serviced by this company and they have always found the most affordable option for repairs. The company's employees are Top Notched and very attentive to the customers concerns. So when I was able to afford to replace both of my outdoor AC units I didn't hesitate to go with 5 Star. The owner came to my house and provided several options and made a recommendation. The warranty alone was worth going with these items.

I rarely do reviews and wanted to take the time to express how happy I am with the techs Ken and Aaron. Not only were they very professional but they also offered a wealth of knowledge when it came to my HVAC system. The parts needed were ordered and came withih a reasonab amount of time. Ken stayed in contact and made sure I knew everything that was happening. My home is now warm and my system no longer has an issue. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for honesty and good clean work. Yes, they also had on booties which was nice.

From prompt to finish in just a few hours, the team installed our new AC with impressive precision. Now, our home is a cool oasis!

We just moved into our new to us home in July. Included in the transaction was a home warranty. Of course, just a month in, our AC decided to give us trouble. We called the warranty service and they sent out 5 Star Mechanical.
The guys came out, couldn’t determine the problem, and suggested it was “a little low on Freon”. We were pretty sure Freon wasn’t the problem but went with their recommendation - they topped her off, and were on their way. Two weeks later and the AC crapped the bed. We again called the warranty company and they were going to send out 5 Star Mechanical. We were opposed since they didn’t offer much help the first time.
We ended up phoning a friend who determined it was the compositor.
We purchased a $9 part, replaced it ourselves and Voila! We have cold air flowing from our vents once again!
The guys were nice. I honestly hate leaving poor reviews but found in reading them here, Freon is the “go-to” answer. Idk what the deal is with the warranty company, but we don’t have time for multiple calls and bandaid answers.
