Update December 2025: We had an issue I wasn’t aware of could happen on older toilets. I will not disclose medical things but the owner, Chris I respected and could trust him so I requested him. Unfortunately he had to travel to another City for a family emergency. However, he called me and was sending guys that said you can trust them. Sure enough, two of his employees showed up, once again communication was excellent from the office and team on timing and having to comeback with the parts, etc. After this was completed Chris came out (at no charge) to explain things to do to prevent additional issues. He knows his stuff and these guys have a quick turnaround and legit empathy for every situation. If you want the right people to trust and even comeback to put you at ease, Chris and the Fatman plumbing team is who I would 1000% recommend.

June 2025: Timely, efficient, professional and overall best experience I have had. Chris, the owner of Fatman had done a solid job and because it was follow up from getting a water heater through their company, I was not charged. Great customer service!

Could not be happier. Very harsh hot conditions and the guys just kept on rolling. Water heater up stairs was replaced, would never have known they had been there except there stood a new water heater….. complete and totally cleaned up.

This is my second experience with Chris at Fatman and he didn't disappoint! He is very professional and friendly, but more importantly, works like it is for his own home! He helped me transform an old buffet to a bathroom cabinet with a vessel sink. I couldn't be happier! He will be coming back in the future to help with other bathrooms I am remodeling! When the water cartridge on my Delta shower broke, I couldn’t turn off the water for two days. I also couldn’t locate the main water shutoff for my home, so it turned into a complete catastrophe!!!!

My first thought was to call Morris Jenkins, since I didn’t know any better. Their technician told me it would be an “easy fix” 20 to 30 minutes and a couple hundred dollars. That “easy fix” quickly turned into a nearly $2,000 job that supposedly required ripping open my bathroom wall.

As a single mom who doesn’t know much about plumbing, I decided to double-check before committing. After a quick chat with ChatGPT I decided it was best to get a 2nd opinion (and I’m SOOO GLAD I DID!, I searched Google for a “good plumber in Waxhaw” and found FATMAN Plumbing.

From my very first call with their receptionist, I could tell this was going to be a completely different experience. She was kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She reassured me, expedited a Senior Technician to my home, and made me feel taken care of.

That Senior Technician Chris L. arrived quickly and immediately knew what needed to be done. Instead of pushing an expensive job, he explained how I could get the needed Delta parts for free. Knowing I didn’t have the time as I was juggling this disaster AND WORK, and my son who was sick, he went ahead and ordered the parts FOR ME, and literally had them in, in less then 24hrs.

Even after the Morris Jenkins plumber had damaged the cartridge, Chris took the extra time to carefully remove it (something I had been told was “impossible” by the Morris Jenkins tech) and successfully fixed my shower all for a FRACTION of the ORIGINAL “LOW DISCOUNTED” price Morris Jenkins quoted me.

If you’re in the Waxhaw/Charlotte/surrounding areas I cannot recommend FATMAN Plumbing ENOUGH!!!!!!

Chris and Nick took great care and attention to my new home with all it's plumbing needs. I know I won't have to worry in the months to come with multiple visits out. They were proactive and wonderful to work with. Highly recommend their services!

This team has been helpful before and did good work for a good value on replacing our hot water heater. The other issue we called them in for recently, which was a water stain on our ceiling, created a cascading headache. After they came out to look at the stain on the ceiling (which they never opened up), they determined our upstairs toilet had been leaking and that we needed a mitigation team to come in to assess. The toilet had leaked, but it didn’t cause the spot we initially saw. After being referred to Divine Restoration (who were extremely nice, but didn’t communicate well with our insurance company) we filed a claim with our insurance company. The misdiagnosis of the water spot caused several headaches with our insurance adjuster and resulted in our claim being denied. We ended up also having some confusion about the actual cause of the water stain and were quoted $1200 to fix it after multiple technicians came out to our place. Chris ultimately made that issue right and replaced a part on the overflow in the shower , but it took several trips and follow up on our end to get there.

Nick is great. Fair, prompt and courteous. Its a family affair and he learned to do it correctly. We really appreciate the work he has done for us.

Last week we had a major issue with our water heater, as a pipe had gone bad and compromised the entire system, causing a break and water pouring out of the tank into our garage. Chris & Nick did a brilliant job coming to our rescue, going the extra mile to ensure we were taken care of and the problem solved.

The system had originally been installed by FATman and not only did Chris & FATman honor their original commitment from 6 years ago, but they also spent more than 5 additional hours (late into the night) to install the new equipment and thoroughly test it. All of this after receiving our call late in the day after they spent an entire day at a large job outside of town!

They were so kind, knowledgable and caring. We will definitely continue to use them and are glad they're back in the area!

We bought an old house with a lot of old, jerry-rigged plumbing. We called FATman Plumbing Pro, when we noticed all the leaks and sewer gas bubbling, and they came out right away to set everything right. They replaced all the old copper and PVC pipes, replaced the hot water heater, and brought everything up to code. While working on the sewer line, they discovered that the house was not on the city sewer line, but had an old neglected cesspool. They excavated it, fixed this up too, and showed us how to maintain the cesspool. They also advised us to have an electrician come in to look at some wiring that was dangerous and jerry-rigged. All this work took several days, and all thru the process they were always on time, friendly and informative.

First time and very impressive. Honest quote and very detailed invoice. Excellent customer service on phone and in person. I will be a loyal and faithful lifetime customer. Thank you Chris and Nick. Look forward to the next visit. Awesome.

I can’t even begin to tell you how happy we’ve been with Chris and Fat Man Plumbing. He and his staff have been so helpful, accommodating, professional and honest. They were on time and went way overboard to make sure we are happy! It’s not often that people go the extra mile these days and they all did without ever making us feel like we were over asking! Chris, Nick and let's not forget Hannah are personable and very efficient. The job was set-up, scheduled and completed without any hiccups. Chris and Nick work well together as a team and get things done. Since it was a hot water issue, they showed up at 8 pm to ensure that we had hot water that day. Now that is what I call service! All plumbing was done with skill and the jobsite was left clean and ready to use. I strongly recommend FATman Plumbing!
