Very comfortable with this technician that knows his area of expertise. Didn't try to
Sell me anything I didn't need. It was an adjustment on our blower that was all that was required.
We were recommended to this company by a friend that has used them for years. Glad we took his advice.
We took advantage of a plan they have for maintenance on the furnace and AC.

My heating and water heater was red tagged by gas company for leaks. Blake Morris was nice and professional in every aspect of his job. Was thorough and on time; also answered all my questions and concerns I had. When he left, everything was up and running and my peace of mind was back.

Mark Pierce was very professional but never resolved the furnace issue.

We reached out for an emergency repair during sub-zero temperatures. Not only did the technician fail to repair our furnace, but he also appeared more interested in upselling a service contract than solving our life-safety issue.

The technician patched the unit just enough to leave, only for it to fail 10 minutes later. This was the original time slot for 1-3.

After waiting another two hours for his return, 5-7 time slot, he informed us he didn't have the necessary parts. I find it predatory to charge a $100 'emergency' fee when no repair was made and the focus was entirely on sales. I am requesting a full refund of the service fee immediately. We wasted everyone’s time involved, just to be cold and have to call another company.

We were in sub-zero temperatures with no heat, and short $100 with no solutions to our emergency. I would never recommend this company. I wish we could give zero stars.

Jordan was on time, very respectful. Very polite. Very knowledgeable. Explained all my options. Gave me all the information I needed to make a decision and worked with me to make the best one.

Neil was great. Showed me how everything worked once everything was put in. Made sure to ask questions so I didn't run into any problems from wrong settings. Explained the paperwork.

On one of the coldest days, we realized that we had no heat. We called Mitchell’s in the morning and we were put on the schedule for the afternoon. Blake arrived on time ( we have had him before) and was immediately able to figure out the issue which was related to the thermostat. He explained the problem to me clearly and fixed the thermostat. Blake is such a knowledgeable and courteous technician. He checked out the furnace for me and replaced a torn filter. Thank you for a job well done.

Anthony was the man for the job. After reading the reviews he's recieved I knew he would take care of the situation I had. Needed a motor replaced on my furnace. Was able to complete the job without having to order the parts that were potentially needed. Was able to save me some money also comparing to the initial quote. When needed I'll be contacting Mitchell's for future services! Thank you Anthony!

Old furnace was acting up, I’m a tinkerer so I replaced a few components and the problem persisted. So, rather than burn down my house I called Mitchell’s. They had many available times for appointments online. But when I called they had one for the same day and time I needed!!

Mike came out and went over everything I had my hands in and confirmed I didn’t mess anything up. He inspected the heat exchanger and measured for CO, everything was ok.

He adjusted the limit switch and everything is now working great.

I recommend giving these guys a call if you’re local to Lorain county and are in a pinch.

Miguel was pleasant and focused when replacing a part in our furnace. Our furnace quit running Christmas evening. Corey came out next morning and was able to bypass and have the furnace run until the part came in. Miguel also checked the system after installing new part. Both technicians were pleasant and knowledgeable. When our old furnace quit years ago, Mitchells was the only company to return our phone call out of 4 companies we called in the winter. Since they were courteous and showed concern, we had them replace furnace and AC. Good decision their service is outstanding! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The story: It’s a Sunday, temperatures in the single digits, and our heat kicks. We call around to half a dozen companies who are all charging an arm and a leg to (possibly) help us troubleshoot, given the day of the week. We reach Mitchell’s and BOOM. They make it over within a few short hours, kindly waive the fee, and tell us exactly what’s wrong with our furnace. Not only that, but they were able to provide a bandaid fix, allowing our house to reach an appropriate, warm temperature within two hours. On arguably one of the coldest days of the season, our minds were at ease, even if only temporarily.

The pros: quick, friendly, efficient, solution-oriented, knowledgeable

The cons: the available, more permanent solutions presented to us were (and I’m not exaggerating) thousands more than any other competitor in the area.

Conclusion: If you’re in a bind and need a quick solution on a cold day, give Mitchell’s a call. I implore you to shop around when it comes to that next step.

I was impressed with Kayla she helped me scheduling and Michael Witmer the tech that helped us with a broken heater that needs fixing before the freeze warning hits Lorain. I want him back to do all the other units. Before and after photo of special cleaning. I’m giving that tech a 10 for customer service. And prefer Michael W. I to be the tech for my location. By the way give the man a raise $$$$

Great service! Marcus was very knowledgeable and professional. He arrived at my home within one hour, diagnosed and solved the issue I was having with my heating system and got everything up and running again in no time!

If you're having HVAC issues, I definitely recommend calling Mitchell's!

**UPDATE** I own another property and Mark Racz came out to give me an estimate on replacing the heating system. He also was professional and extremely knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning!

Professionals Chris & Paul, were very knowledgeable and easy to speak with. Chris was able to diagnose and fix the heating issue with my furnace and Paul explained what my options were for further sustainability. I was given straight forward pricing and both professionals were understanding of my concerns. Great timing and efficient work from them both!

I can’t say enough about Marcus, not only was he professional. He was kind understanding during the worst time with temperatures below zero and the furnace going out he was here doing everything he could to get the heat back up and running, no matter how long it took or what he needed to do to get us heat when others came charged us an outrageous amount and couldn’t help until Monday. Mind you it was the weekend Marcus was able to get the heat up and running made sure everything was done properly. Was very personable. He does however, have to come back out on Monday yet he explained things thoroughly again. I can’t say enough about him. All I know is that one hour heating and air conditioning is top-notch.

My furnace suddenly started blowing cold air. I chose Mitchell’s One Hour due to the great reviews. The young lady who took my call and Brian (the tech) did not disappoint! I wish I could remember her name, but the Customer Service rep scheduled me for a same day appointment, explained their process, and answered any questions I had thoroughly. Brian came in, found and fixed the issue, did maintenance cleaning, and had me back up and running in no time! He even went above and beyond to point out potential issues to look out for due to the age of my furnace. I’ve had a hard time finding reliable and TRUSTWORTHY contractors. Brian is informative, honest, and very skilled at his craft. And to top it off, my services didn’t break the bank. I also signed up for their maintenance plan after Brian explained the benefits. It was a no brainer to have that peace of mind for such a low cost. KUDOS to Brian and the rest of Mitchell’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning team! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tony from One Hour Heating and Cooling came out for an emergency appointment on Saturday night for a leaking water heater. He was prompt and courteous and offered us options of trying to fix but with the 16 year old age of the water heater he also provided a quote for replacing.

We opted to replace the unit and Tony came back to do the install. Due to unforeseen circumstances he had to stay longer than originally anticipated but at no time did he get frustrated or short tempered. He stayed all the way through the completion of the job, we did a walk through, and he cleaned up the working area.

This is my second purchase from One Hour Heating and Air (we completed a HVAC replacement 4 years prior). I highly recommend the company and their installers.

I prayed that the tech sent out was knowledgeable and yes God did it. He diagnosed the issue (I promise) in minutes and had my furnace up and running in no time. Mitchell's got it right with this one and if there's any additional issues, I only want Marco to be the technician that's sent out. It always sucks having to make the call to fix problems with an hvac system but everyone on the phone was super nice and helpful, and the technician Naylan was very respectful and knowledgeable. He patiently explained the issues he was seeing, all the options I have, and helped guide me through everything. Not to mention I would have been without heat in 30 degree weather without his help. Pricing was fair, will definitely do business here again

Cost aside for a moment (because no one agrees with the costs for these things these days), Blake Morris, the service technician, was excellent! He was prompt, professional, pleasant, honest about expectations and services, and was very friendly. He did not make any awkward small talk but was very engaged with the conversations and questions I had or initiated. I would definitely recommend Blake Morris for an HVAC technician.

These folks are always very thorough with communication and when the drivers will arrive! Nick Dulio was our technician today and he was very polite, and knowledgeable! He even made sure to tell me I put my filter in the wrong direction last month! I was thankful for that because I forgot as soon as I removed it! We are always pleased with their services and we recommend the membership because you are at ease knowing your heat and A/C are in working condition each season!

Arrived earlier than expected which meant we didn't have to suffer long. Listened to me while I explained our situation. Fixed our main issue quickly and painlessly and found another issue we didn't even know we had. Did a full inspection and got us up and running in no time. Excellent transparency and knowledge. Even though it was a great experience I hope not to have to need him other than regular maintenence. Thank you!
