My experience with hays and sons was nothing less than a positive, professional experience. I was a little worried at first only because I had never hired a contractor before, and didn’t know what to expect. My estimator, Randy, explained the whole process thoroughly so I didn’t have any surprises, and was quick to respond when I had questions, and my project manager, Jeff, exceeded my expectations. When we ordered my cabinets they arrived damaged, and the vendors gave us a little push back on returning them. I was approved for basic shaker style cabinets and Jeff went above and beyond and was somehow able to get the regional Home Depot manager to come all the way from Indianapolis to my house to assess the damage and come to a resolution. They were replaced with solid wood cabinets with soft close doors that are absolutely gorgeous at no additional charge. Waiting on the new cabinets to arrive slowed down the process a little because we had to wait for the cabinets before the floor could be installed, and even during that downtime, Jeff stayed in contact with me everyday by email, or phone and always kept me in the loop of what was happening which I appreciated. I never felt “scammed” or my home “disregarded” in anyway. I’m so thankful for the work they put in to make my home so beautiful! Thank you hays and sons team!

Hays & Sons has great employees. Even though my restoration was small, Amanda Ross, the project manager, made me feel it was a priority. Amanda's communication and organizational skills are excellent. She said the restoration of the floor could be done in a day and it was.

Dan Haun did an excellent job on my bathroom's ceiling that had water damage from a toilet that leaked in the condo above me. He was very professional and did a great job of cleaning up!

We came home from a vacation to find the water supply line to our refrigerator had burst. Water everywhere and the finished basement a mess with drywall ceilings collapsed among other things. Jason, Garrett, and Shane came out daily until all the water was dried. These guys truly did care and treated my family as if it were their own. Special props to Jason who came out later on the final day of water mitigation - he had a long day and still stayed until 8:30pm to cover all of my exposed sub-flooring with protective paper so my toddlers wouldn’t hurt their feet. Bless these guys I can’t recommend them enough.

Edit: I ended up hiring them for the restoration process of the water damage. It’s still ongoing, but I wanted to mention that Logan and James have come out and done a wonderful job on numerous tasks. They were also very good around my 5-year-old twins, who tend to be quite shy around unfamiliar faces. Props, guys!

5 Stars for Hays & Sons Restoration, specifically Alex Ratcliff who handled putting it all back together for me. Alex did an outstanding and professional job with attention to detail. This spring I suffered water damage to my condo while gone on vacation. My flooring was ruined. I got two estimates for the repairs and decided to go with Hays & Sons for a number of reasons including the professional manner with which they treated me. The fact that I am an older, single, female did not come into play. I am certain they treat all their clients with dignity and respect, which I appreciate. When it came to the end of the project, Alex Ratcliff made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Special thanks also to Josh Anderson and Lisa Weaver for handling details of my claim. One of the best experiences I’ve had with a contractor! Brandon Hering and Jeff were awesome to work with and made working with my insurance so easy! Made the whole project feel easy and were amazing at communicating. Everything looked amazing and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a contractor!

The team at Hays + Sons made the entire process of restoration painless. From scheduling the initial estimate to the completion of the work, the crew there, especially Jeff Morris, made the process easy. Jeff and team communicated consistently and effectively to let me know what was happening and when it was supposed to happen. Hay+Sons completed repair work after I had a water accident in my Master bath and bedroom. They were extremely knowledgeable & professional. Amanda Ross, the project manager was outstanding, as were Patrick Hill who did the reconstruction work, and James, the tile guy. The initial appraisal by RJ Thompson, was very professional, and I believe contributed to the excellent quality of work I received.

These guys were INCREDIBLE. They show up on time, communicate super well, and do a fantastic job. They are the best contractors I have dealt with. They go the extra mile to ensure the problem is solved. I worked with JOE, JASON, JORDAN, SHANE, and ADAM. Every one of them were super friendly and helpful.

Professional, Consistent communication throughout process and delegation of scope of work identified. They worked with our vision and project needs and kept us on track throughout the whole process. Will use them again for any renovations. Mio and Dave were crucial to our renovation getting done and I could tell they cared.

Hays + Sons haws been the MOST HELPFUL of all the different entities I’ve been working with on a flat roof leak turned interior damage. Lucas installed a tarp upon request, explaining that tarps on flat roofs are “best effort”, but that they were happy to do everything reasonable to help us keep water out while working with insurance and the original roof contractor on a permanent fix.

Then a week later when high winds tried to blow the tarp off the roof, Shane and Jordan stopped by to re-secure it and add additional weight. They discovered a tear in the tarp from when it was being blown about by the wind against a metal mount, and came back the next morning with the resources needed to repair it.

After a particularly strong squall line overnight, I’m happy to report that the area of roof protected by Hays + Sons’ efforts has remained dry and our continued weather-related losses have been limited.

A final shout out to Kate who has assisted from the office in communications, and follow-ups after service. These folks are a CLASS ACT.

Scott Nigel was the project manager. We had a fire in our home. Scott went above and beyond. I am so glad we chose Hayes and Sons. Scott’s communication was very well. He was very respectful anything we asked for or if we had a concern he was on top of it. His communication was awesome. Hays + Sons was called in to mitigate water damage due to a drain line malfunction of an attic air conditioner’s air handler. The water had run down through a hallway wall and underneath a wood parquet floor. The technicians removed damaged flooring and set up fans and a dehumidifier to dry remaining moisture.
An estimator was called in and prepared a detailed plan for insurance purposes. He listened to my concerns and clearly explained what the process entailed. Hays will start putting things back together soon.
I have been impressed with all Hays personnel’s professionalism and would not hesitate recommending them highly.
