Our 286 foot vinyl fence project with REC Construction went extremely well and we were very satisfied with the end result. The company team from salesman (James) to the crew leader (Dave) were very accommodating throughout the entire project. The crew completed the job in a professional manner and I did not feel I had to "baby sit them". They earn their money and I have already recommended them to a neighbor who needs some fence work. Our new fence looks great !

I went through Lowe's to have a small section of chain link fence and a gate installed. I had done the same in 2021 and was very happy with the process and the work done. This time did not go so well. First of all, the process has changed. This time there were several phone calls from a Lowe's installation call center, most of the time with no update or new information - just useless, lengthy phone calls. After a delay due to Lowe's sending the wrong fence, it looks to me like someone didn't measure properly where the gate is and the latch was catching and difficult to open and close. Maybe they were in a hurry since it was freezing and one of the installers had brought their small child with them, who was waiting in the truck. So I started the awful process of having to deal with the installation call center again to get someone to come back and fix this gate. Yay! Someone came and swung the gate that doesn't fit the opposite way and cut some metal off the latch - it's not much better. Anyhow, I'm not happy with the process or the "fix" that is going to need actually fixed. I will not go through Lowe's for any project ever again, and I will find someone else to fix this gate when it needs fixed again - because it will.

Excellent work from start to finish! I am very critical of contractors work and they passed with flying colors! I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone. Quality job!

REC Construction did am amazing job with my new Trex deck. James walked me through the whole process and was great at answering any questions or concerns I had. Willian and his crew were super hard working and professional when it came to the deck install. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

Had a wood fence added to my backyard! The gentleman who did the actual installation was polite, friendly, and did a wonderful job communicating with me as the job progressed. He completed the job ahead of schedule as he had upcoming travel plans. He answered all of my many questions thoroughly.

Great experience working with REC on a new privacy fence installation. We worked with James for the estimate and project coordination, and he was extremely easy to work with. Scheduling happened faster than expected, but we decided to push out an extra week due to wet yard conditions. A few days later, we had Jeff and Brian at our house and ready to start the project (both were also incredibly nice and great to work with). The project took 3 days to complete and looked great. We did have one small issue with the look of the gates that we addressed with James after completion, but that was immediately addressed and corrected by Jeff & Brian within the next 2 days. Through the entire project, I felt like this is a company that respects and cares for their customers, and I am happy that we went with them for our project- and would highly recommend them to anyone in the central Ohio area looking for a company to work with their fence/deck projects.

All those stock photos are beautiful. Shots of how construction should be done. However my photos show what you will get if have Conners do your fence. Good luck trying to contact Conners or Lowes if you have a problem, they just don't respond. The strategy is do nothing until you get tired and go away. Don't end up with a $2300 fence made out of firewood like I did.

Update: Still working on perfection :-) Although I had another little hiccup with the latch, they came out almost immediately to fix it. So.....after a really rough start, we're good. It took a long time & a lot of phone calls, etc., but they've been willing to fix everything & that means A LOT! (I still would never go through Lowe's again though - the lack of communication, slow response time & general disconnect once they receive payment).

Update: I waited a bit to see how it would hold up - fence & gate are in good working order. I'm still not super confident it is going to stay that way, but I'm doing everything I can to be "nice" to it - bracing it open, not allowing it to slam shut, etc. We'll see :-)

Update: As of yesterday (3/11/2024), the stinking thing is falling down again!! I've emailed my contact at Lowe's installation, we'll see how long it takes for them to get back to me. I am SO frustrated and upset. At this point, I wish I could have them take the whole thing down and get a refund.

Update: As of this weekend (3/1/24) my gate is wonderful. It should NOT have taken what felt like a year & 500 phone calls to get it fixed, BUT now it is great. I can open it with one hand, it moves easily, it looks sharp. MUCH happier customer now. It is unfortunate though that it took SO much complaining and making a better business bureau complaint to get a resolution.

I have the same complaints as other review respondents - I went through Lowe's Installation because I THOUGHT it would be less stressful/better/easier contact, etc. They were more expensive than Home Depot & the private contractor I had come out for quotes, but I felt confident in the sales person. I thought I was making the best choice. After signing my contract with Lowe's (October) it took until mid December to start - on a different day than planned after I had already taken time off work. K, fence finished & gate up. FOR A MONTH!! The privacy fence gate stayed up for 1 month & literally FELL DOWN! Drop rod on the wrong side of the fence & latch on backward - I can deal with that till they can fix it in the spring. BUT IT FELL DOWN! And now I am getting the run-around.
I immediately went to Lowe's (Jan 12) and asked them what to do - the cu serv person called installation & they "put in a work order" & "someone will get back to me". Jan 24 I received a delivery of a new latch - - not gonna cut it, folks! I phone the construction site - - they have NO IDEA what is going on. After a long discussion with their head scheduler she finally decided to send out a district manager - He made it out Feb 8 (for all intents & purposes, a MONTH after I went to Lowe's to complain). He admitted that it was installed incorrectly & took notes regarding items needed to repair - again, personality wise he was fine. Today has been a week since the manager has been out - haven't heard a peep from anyone as to when the stinking gate will be fixed. I sent the manager 3 text messages with no response. Called Lowe's installation today (Feb 15), representative said contractor got the order for materials to the YESTERDAY - almost a full week after the manager saw that THEIR ERRONOUS CRAFTMANSHIP created a gate that has fallen flat on the ground. Why? Why the delay?
Meanwhile, I've been paying on this project since October.
I want it fixed, I want it fixed CORRECTLY & I want it done in a reasonable amount of time!! I don't think that is too much to ask. Never, ever again will I go through Lowe's for any project due to their lack of communication, slow response time & general disconnect once they receive payment.

Highly recommend!! I had the pleasure of working with James, who was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to help me choose the perfect fence for both myself and my fur babies. His guidance and quick response time made the entire process seamless.

Jeff and Brian handled the installation, and they were fantastic—hardworking, kind, and truly customer-focused from start to finish. I can't say enough great things about this experience. The entire team went above and beyond, and the final result is a beautiful fence that I absolutely love.

Couldn't have had a better experience. Jeff, Jeff and Brian did an outstanding job with our existing fence removal, new installation, and clean up. They were very courteous and professional. The new fence looks great!

Project delay upon delay. Initial issue was missing parts from Lowe’s who contracted this company but these were delivered the next day, a month ago. (After ridiculous number of calls and people spoken to because there are so many “coordinators” in between those who can actually do something.) The less than half done fence project is still sitting. Was supposed to be done yesterday.. now “they’re having vehicle trouble?” If you are contracting out jobs you get from Columbus it would be good to have more than one contact if the first one falls through. Very disappointed in the service, communication and lack of accountability and oversight. Office woman blaming Lowe’s today. Nothing to say when informed the missing parts have been there for a month. Lowe’s - hire local contractors not 100+ miles away who don’t inspect and stop communicating when things go wrong. 😑

Poor communication, job delayed multiple times without warning, concrete delivered uncovered - sat in our driveway for over a month and ultimately unusable. Missing or wrong fencing pieces delayed job further. Requested job be repaired as it was not completed as discussed when ordering and now is a safety hazard. Was informed that would be at my own cost. Wish they would just make it right.

2 weeks later and no phone call.

I am reaching out to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received regarding the fence installed on my property. Unfortunately, the work did not meet expectations or what was promised: the installation shows several issues, the materials do not seem to be of good quality, and the completion time was not respected.

I have tried to contact you previously without receiving an adequate solution, so I kindly request that the necessary steps be taken to correct these problems as soon as possible. I expect a prompt response, as I believe that as a customer I deserve a professional and responsible service.

WE LOVE OUR FENCE! THE CREW IS AWESOME! I have already commended them to my parents, all the cre was nice and professional and they cleaned up when they left. We have 2 giant breed dogs and a medium size dog, this is such a stress relief.

We have a beautiful fence in our backyard. The fence is high quality and they put it in within 1 day. All timelines were communicated to us. High quality process from start to finish.

Great product, superior installation. We had 6ft vinyl privacy fence installed, to replace 40 year old chain link.

We are very happy with our new fence surrounding our new pool! Jeff, Brian & Jeff did a great job, they were very good to work with, they took great care to clean up and to not make a mess in our yard. Would highly recommend them to do your fence!! Thank you everyone at R.E. Construction!

We had them install a fence on our property, and they rescheduled it several times. I called the man in charge of our project and he sounded drunk. Two years after having the fence installed, the gate fell off, but since it wasn't under warranty, they wouldn't fix it. Not that their employees even did the project the first time, they had to sub-contract it out since it was rescheduled so many times.

This crew was amazingly efficient and communicative. They contacted us through every step of the process and made sure we were 100% satisfied with the final product. We are so happy to have our fenced in oasis for us and our fur balls thanks to the team at REC. I couldn't recommend them more.

I was very pleased to have had crew leader Ed and his helper complete the tear out and install of a new privacy fence in 2 days! I am beyond ecstatic to show it off to all my family and friends. After walking the fence line I seen nothing at all to call them out on. The gate is very good as well, and they even picked up all scrap material and also moved the remainder of materials I am keeping out of my side yard and on to the pallets in my driveway. 10/10 recommend!

We are very pleased with our new privacy fence from Lowe's. The installation crew from REC Construction had to wait to get started due to typical Ohio weather. Once the job was started, it was completed in less than two days. They cleaned up the area and even rinsed off our patio. As soon as the weather warms up, we can finish the yardwork.
