We have been members of the subscription service at EH Roberts for years and they have kept our HVAC systems in great shape. I recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable company for heating and cooling service.

I had this company put in a new furnace for me and it went very well! So when my AC went out...I gave them a call. Well, as great as that went, having them quote for fix my AC went that wrong.

I understood that it is very hot! Knowing I would be lucky if they could fix right away. Their tech came out next day... said I needed a new filter.... and my condensing unit was very dirty. He replaced the filter and said he cleaned my outside unit. He also said that I needed a couple pounds of Freon at $79.00 a pound. Once he started to charge it, the compressor was failing. Diagnosis was we needed a new compressor. Total cost to come out and "clean" my unit was around $200.00.

After a few emails back and fourth, they sent me a quote. $6,800 for a new compressor!!! You can get an entire new unit for that much! I knew right away they were price gouging because of 90 degree heat! Moreover, they said it would take 2 weeks to fix... which that part is understandable. It is hot out and units are failing.

My family and I used to own a very large ice company in the area. I was not a HVAC man... but my brother and nephew were and fixed all our units. I told them the story and they came out of retirement to help me out.

So cost of materials... 20 Pound of Freon was $300.00 (remember above they billed $79.00 pound.. that is a 81% mark up. New compressor was $1,400.00. It took us 4 hours to swap out the unit. In all, we felt the quote should of been at most... $4,000.... but $6.8K..... WOW!

On top of that... the cleaning I paid for with their guy... he only washed the outside of the coil... we pulled the top off and it was full of debris! Which could have cause the compressor to blow when he charged it!

We are all in business to make money! I get that as I have been in business my entire life... but this quote was opportunistic and dishonorable. I thought I found a company would take care of my needs... I will never call them again.

I’ve used E.H. Roberts for my heating and cooling maintenance, and they never disappoint. They are always on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. On this visit, I had a newer technician who was both very friendly and thorough. He took the time to explain what he was doing and made sure everything was running smoothly. I really appreciate the consistency, friendliness, and expertise of this company. I wouldn’t trust my system with anyone else!

The annual maintenance to the HVAV and Heating system is essential and EH Roberts is always thorough and the service personnel always kind and efficient.

Be careful with what you ask for on initial call, They will lie to you and do anything to get your money. And will show no remorse when you call them and complain about what they did.

Your reply is a joke. Your representative told me I called in about duct cleaning. When I called and complained. Why are you lying to the world?? I have the call recorded

Spent several thousand dollars to install brand new unit and AC. Within 10 months of install and only really two to three months of cold weather the furnace starts tripping codes and is leaking water.. when I contacted them to service it I was told I would need to pay a service fee. How could you ask for a service fee on a unit that’s barely been run? People expect things to work when you pay a premium. Today’s market people don’t have extra money just laying around. Very disappointing.

I called and left a message on 10/31/25 about my water heater going out. I finally heard back from them today (11/6/25) and the message they left basically stated that it sucks to be me. Sorry.
I'm certainly glad there are other plumbers in the area who were able to fix my hot water issue the same day. I guess this company doesn't care if you have hot water. I will certainly be passing along this tidbit to my neighbors who always ask me for recommendations in the area.

I had been trying with another HVAC provider for some time to get some work done and it never seemed to happen. I called EH Roberts and they were there in two days for an estimate and the job was done in less than two weeks. I inspected it personally and a quality job was done. Their responsiveness was superb. The woman clerk was constantly in contact with me to schedule the job.

We just purchased a condo in Huron, Ohio. The previous owner had EH Roberts maintaining the HVAC system and the hot water tank for many years. We continued the service. We pay a monthly charge for a serviceman to come out twice a year and check the heating, air conditioning and hot water tank. The serviceman came out as scheduled and spent two and one half hours checking the heating, air conditioning and the hot water tank. This serviceman had been maintaining our equipment for about the last 18 years. He was very thorough and professional and explained everything to us. All of the equipment checked out fine. We would highly recommend this company based on the service we received.

I had EH Roberts install a furnace for me and do duct cleaning. Every step of the process was great. They showed up on time. Very respectful of me and my property. Even the lady I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant. My mom recommended them to me. In fact, she said not to even bother calling anyone else. So I didn't, and I must say that had I called any other company, it would have probably been a waste of both their time and mine.
