I was having issues with my heat. The furnace would kick on and off but it never stayed on long enough to warm up the house. I called Shagovac heating and cooling since they are a great local family business owned company with a great reputation for their customer service and value. They offered to come over right away (on a Sunday night) but due to my schedule I was not available until Monday afternoon. The technician was prompt and on time. He was very courteous wearing foot covers as to keep my house clean. Once he checked and tested the furnace, he explained what the issue was and fixed it promptly. I definitely would recommend Shagovac Heating and Cooling to my family and friends.

From start to finish, Shagovac provided exceptional service. The techs were prompt and efficient and answered all questions we had. They took special care to clean up and were just very friendly and professional. Kyle and his crew were great! Highly recommend Shagovac for any HVAC needs.

Second time using Shagovac. Impressed by the fact that the owner himself comes out to quote the job. Fast, responsive and professional. Will continue to recommend them! Quoted on one day and they came out the next day and put in our new central air unit! Loved the whole experience.

Technician's are nice and knowledgeable. Fixed my furnace water line in minutes. A few days later it started acting up again. I called them out and a technician came out and cleaned my drainage pipe and they didn't charge me for the second visit.

The company had to come back a third time. I was told I needed a new furnace. I had to finance the new furnace and AC. The company was great helping me get the financing. The installers were amazing. All I can say is read your paperwork very well. The were going to charge me 13% financing when the bank gave me 0% APR. I had to argue with them to get this extra $1200 removed. By the end of the day they had removed it and it was all settled. The office people were nice and the installers were great. Just read your paperwork, so you know how much you are supposed to be paying.

I'm so late with this review, but we had a fantastic experience with Shagovac Heating and cooling. They serviced our furnace several times but it was getting old and on its last legs. When the furnace finally gave out, we called Shagovac. They assessed the situation and within two days delivered and installed a new furnace and air conditioner. We had forgotten to ask about an Aprilaire so the installer contacted Hugh, the owner, and Hugh promptly delivered the unit himself. Everything has been working beautifully. We also purchased a maintenance contract and they call us promptly every 6 months to arrange an inspection. Service and personnel are exemplary. We highly recommend Shagovac. Kudos to a company who is service oriented, courteous, and highly skilled .

Shagovac Heating did an amazing job. From booking my appointment to solving my furnace problem everything was handled professionally and expeditiously. Ian was a fantastic technician. He let me watch him work on the furnace and showed me exactly what the problem was and what he was doing to fix it. I appreciate that kind of transparency. My parents also used Shagovac for their geothermal heating system and they were also very satisfied.

I would like to thank Ian for a job well done this morning at my house. After he repaired the problem, he realized that the gas company would have to be called for a separate issue. He stayed here while I called the gas company so he could explain the situation to them. I so appreciate that service and his kindness to me. All is well now my house is warm and I am grateful. We had an urgent need for a water tank, and they went above and beyond to deliver and install it quickly and efficiently. From start to finish, their communication was clear and professional, and the entire process was smooth. The employees were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to make sure everything was set up perfectly. It’s rare to find such reliable and dedicated service these days — very impressed with the job they did. Highly recommend!

We were VERY pleased with our experience that Ian performed in our home yesterday! I called the office and Sue was very polite and cheerful on the phone. She said Ian could come out the same day! That's service right there! Ian did some testing on the furnace, was very professional and we had problems that he traced back to our t-stat. Big thank you to Shagovac and Ian for fixing the software problem on our boiler. It's a shame all HVAC businesses don't take the time to educate themselves the way they do.

After an extended absence, we returned to our home to find a black thermostat screen and no heat. I called Shagovac and spoke with a friendly, professional, and accomodating young woman. Before scheduling a service call, she asked if we had checked simple fixes (i.e. breaker switch, battery) before paying for a service call. In today's marketplace who does that? Apparently, this company does! We had already checked for simple fixes (no go), so she scheduled a service call that was convenient for us. Ian, our tech arrived on time. He was personable and confident. He put on booties ( nice touch) and checked the thermostat, then went to the lower level to check the heating system. While he examined the unit we asked A LOT of questions. He answered each one patiently and thoroughly. He determined the problem was with the outside cooling unit. Outside, he quickly found the faulty part, but before he installed the new part, he told us the price (no billing surprises). He also mentioned that they offer a maintence contract (no high pressure sales pitch). In forty years we have never purchased a warranty or extended service or maintence contract. We signed up with Shagovac...a FIRST for us. Why?-- a very reasonably priced maintenance contract, excellent and friendly customer service, and Ian's knowledge and expertise. Even our bill was detailed and transparent. We ABSOLUTELY (and without hesitation) would recommend Shagovac to anyone needing HVAC service. As we have gotten older we have come to believe that peace of mind is priceless, and this company delivers just that: PEACE OF MIND.

All aspects of our experience with Shagovac were top notch. Megan and Sue at the office were polite, cheerful and great with communication. Joel and the install team were courteous, professional and on time They installed a multi zone Carrier mini-split and heat pump system in our century home in under two days. Shagovac does the preventive furnace maintenance where I rent an apartment. Their employee, Dylan, did the work at my place this morning. He was very professional, polite, friendly. He answered my questions and did a great job. Very happy with the experience.

The office staff doing the appointment times and the billing are a Tremendous asset to the company as well. I have used EH Roberts for many years for both scheduled HVAC maintenance and replacement of a/c and furnace. The furnace was a challenging attic install and they did a brilliant job for a reasonable price. Their technicians are highly skilled and always professional and prompt.
