Very efficient and pleasant to work with. We will definitely call him again for our heating and cooling needs and recommend him to others.

Our HVAC tech Thomas was very courteous and competent and correctly resolved the problem in a timely fashion. We will be relying on Aire Serv / Controlled Comfort for all future needs. Thanks! TM

Marcus showed up within an hour after we called. He was polite, professional and got the job done in under 15 minutes! We strongly recommend using them! Thank you for you fast service.

I recently used this company and I need to recommend them to anyone living in the area. The technician (Ken) took my call and was professional, and even offered to move his workday around to see me immediately. after his prompt arrival he diagnosed the issue in less than ten minutes and had my AC system back online within fifteen.
The prices were fair and under many of the estimates that I found online. Ken himself was personable and very knowledgeable about my AC unit.
I highly recommend this company and their services! -
Controlled Comfort was very quick to check out our air conditioning unit. We were given options to repair or replace and we chose to replace due to the age of the unit. We were give 'good, better, and best' price options, so we could pick what fit our budget and needs. Within a couple days, the unit was in and ready to be installed. The installers were on time, professional, and finished within a couple hours. They set up the new thermostat as well. Extremely happy, and very reliable contractor. Would recommend to anyone.

Eric did a fantastic job with the maintenance of our HVAC unit. He was extremely thorough and explained everything in detail. There was a couple of small issues that were found and was taken care of quickly and easily on the spot. Very courteous and professional. Other employees of T&G have also been as very professional and helpful. A model business! I highly recommend their services!

If I could leave a a 0 star review I would. I took time off from and waited all day to receive a phone call about getting someone to repair my drain. Somehow Im supposed to confirm Im available for my appointment with out ever receiving a phone call so my appointment was cancelled. The lady in the office was zero help not being able to provide me with any information or allowing me to talk to anyone in management. She said she could forward this to management but wasnt able to allow me to talk to them? Then asked if I wanted to reschedule when I clearly stated this morning I had today and today only to get this done if not Id reach out to another company. They assured me It would be done today. So now its too late in the day to call anyone else and my basement is flooding.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Thomas & Galbraith. We were away from home for 10 days and returned tonight to find that our thermostat was not working at all. We pay monthly for their emergency service plan, and according to their own website, they offer 24-hour emergency support.
However, when we called, we were told they could not send anyone out and that we would have to wait until the next day. It’s freezing in our home, and staying here overnight is not even an option.
I expected much better from a company that advertises 24/7 emergency service. Right now we feel completely let down and very unsatisfied with the support we received. I hope they improve their responsiveness, because this experience was unacceptable. -
Overall, was not impressed with Thomas and Galbraith. We brought them in to look at some plumbing matters, including a new hot water tank. The technician contradicted my wife several times. When we demonstrated that she was correct, it wasn’t acknowledged. Quality work done by other service people was dismissed as sub par, which we did not appreciate.
Scheduling was easy. On the other hand, the prices quoted were astronomical. I understand that as a larger company with more overhead and more advertising, the prices they can offer will be higher. But the services and equipment we were quoted felt like borderline price gouging. We’ve had much more reasonable quotes from companies with similar high online ratings.
We will not be using Thomas and Galbraith for any future plumbing, HVAC, or other service work. -
We needed emergency services and they were quick to respond after waiting hours for another company. Jay was professional and knowledgeable. He was thorough and easy to work with.

The Technicians that came out and did the cleaning of my ducts were awesome!!! They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend Julian and Caleb to anyone. Only problem was Home Depot salesman quoted me 299 for 15 vents or less and I was charged 399. Not the technician fault. Called and left message with customer service.

Got home and house was freezing, circuit breaker for furnace kept tripping. Called and made an appointment which I knew was going to be after hours. $150 later the tech left us with still not having heat and an estimate of $6500 claiming compressor was bad, contactor was bad, as well as the circuit breaker. But they were nice enough to schedule a consultation for the next day to discuss options. ie: a new system! Got ahold of a buddy of mine for a second opinion, 2 loose wires later and the heat is back on and has been now going on 4 days! Either we got the worst technicians that work for this company, or this is just their normal practice of not trying to fix anything, and just try to sell. I cant help to think what would have happened had this happened to an elderly couple that didnt get a second opinion! Thomas and Galbraith is a terrible company, and will make sure to let everyone i know of their questionable tactics!!!

Gary came to our house at 5pm and claimed our furnace was "obviously real old" and "had not been in working order for years." We used it 2 weeks ago. It was installed in 2014. He then tried to tell us the problem was there is no thermostat wired in. We had to point out the thermostat wires to him. He then decided the control board was bad and claimed "I can replace it for 2k but theres no guarantee it'll work. You should just replace it". For this, they charged me $98. I completely regret calling them out. I'm mortified by the unprofessional, lazy technician they sent us. I will never call them again. Our neighbors recommended this company. We are telling them what happened. Im sure they wont recommend again. They obviously just want to collect inspection fees and leave and they have inexperienced people in the field doing their collecting. Do not call them.

Our first call to Thomas and Galbraith with a Furnace problem. They responded quickly and Kevin found the problem; we have a fix to get us through the night and part replaced tomorrow. We are very happy with the outcome, the quality of service, a knowledgeable technician who explained everything we needed to know.

Approached at Home Depot for a duct cleaning (at the time of this review, Home Depot contracts locally with Thomas & Galbraith for this).
If you are looking for a very serious, robust duct cleaning, they're just simply not able to do it. 3 trucks were here at my house at 1 point. Took 3 hours for a 2 hour appointment to blow some dust around with an air compressor. After this "cleaning" I put my hand down in the vents and pulled various dust, dirt, and other debris out... My ducts are simply not clean. No one mentioned how anemic (pointless) the cleaing would be. No one looked in the vents. Not sure why they bothered. For their service to work, you'd have to have mostly clean, virginal ducts in the first place. I wish they'd described what they did ahead of time (that what they do may not actually clean the ducts which is what I paid for and what the name of the service is: "duct cleaning", not "attempted duct cleaning"). I will have to call someone else or do it myself...
Additionally, one of the staff left my air purifier open (part of the hvac system -- connects to the air handler), turned the unit back on, causing various errors / faults. These errors persisted and within a few days, the coils froze -- they quoted me thousands today to repair a coolant leak that didn't exist until the unit had been left open.
$500 for dirty ducts and thousands to repair a unit that was fine until they got here...
Note: the staff DID look at the thermostat and air handler and no errors were reported at the time of their attempted START of cleaning....None. These errors only developed AFTER the door of the air purifier was left open. 1 of their staff DID verify this while they were here...
I have called another company to investigate this and may update this review further. This review may be additionally reposted elsewhere and a BBB report may be filed next.
This is a pretty serious problem for me. Right now my unit is down, may have been damaged, and even if repaired, the life expectancy of this (only 1-2yr old, very expensive) system could have been diminished.
Hopefully we can stay out of court.
Note: I maintained a professional attitude and was friendly at all times with all Thomas & Galbraith staff while they were here. I don't yell at workers.
UPDATE 6/7/25: Another company confirmed today that the air purifier (EAC) system wasn't closed properly (it was almost closed -- but not completely). If the EAC is completely open, everything shuts off. If it's partially closed, it may make enough contact to communicate with the system and the system will think everything is okay (when it wasn't). Leaving the door partially open caused the coil to freeze. My unit is now up and running. $100 charge for this. I would never have had this $100 charge if it weren't for the attempted duct cleaning. -
Eric Coomer called to give us an arrival time and arrived at precisely that time. The service call was for routine maintenance on our heating and air conditioning system. Eric had a trainee with him, I believe Deshawn was his name. They set to work and reported back to us with their findings. A small repair was needed and quickly completed. Eric was thorough and clear in his explanation. We have been with Thomas and Galbraith for about 12 years and Eric is the best technician we have had yet. We highly recommend Thomas and Galbraith and Eric Coomer.

Newest update: had Jake and Daniel create an engineering plan to add a mini split/heat pump system to my home and WOW! They were thorough, creative, and gave me a superb quote and plan for installation.
Update: Cameron and Mike just spent a serious amount of quality time addressing some new issues at my home and I will always request them for my plumbing needs. They are the best! Having just bought a new-to-me home which is older and in need of a few important updates, I reached out via Costco for a specific service and was referred to Thomas and Galbraith. As I spoke with the rep in charge of quoting the service I was looking for, I mentioned other mechanicals in the home which needed updating as well. She passed all of my information to the plumbing service division and to the electrical service division and I was extremely pleased with the speed of response, the care with which the various techs researched and approached each service, and the professionalism of the entire operation regarding communication and support. I would highly recommend Thomas and Galbraith to anyone in need of repairs and service for their home mechanicals. -
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the treatment my elderly, widowed mother received from Thomas & Galbraith. She contacted the company to request a free estimate for a suspected leak in the underground pipes at her condominium. Instead, a technician was sent out and charged her $98, only to inspect her washing machine—not the underground pipes in question.
The technician spent approximately 15 minutes on-site and informed her that another technician would need to assess the actual issue. This visit not only failed to address the original concern, but also resulted in an unexpected charge.
Following this, my brother contacted the company to request a refund. Unfortunately, the receptionist he spoke with was unprofessional and hung up on him. When I called back later, I spoke with a more courteous representative who assured me that someone from management would follow up by the end of the week. Now two weeks later, no one has returned our call.
We are extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled and feel that my mother, as an elderly customer, was taken advantage of. Based on this experience, we will not be using Thomas & Galbraith in the future, and we intend to share this experience with friends, family, and through social media to ensure others are informed.
We hope the company will take this feedback seriously and reflect on how vulnerable individuals—particularly seniors—are treated during service calls.
10/27/25 Thank you for the quick response. My mother just let me know that she was reimbursed for the $98. We appreciate your help in resolving this situation. -
I called Thomas and Galbraith about two toilets that seemed to need new tank parts as they had begun running off and on. The plumber came out on July 15, 2025 and did the work. I came home later that day, both toilets were running. Called the Appointment line. Explained the issue. Asked them not to send the same plumber. Asked to have a manager call. Asked for my 7/15 receipt which had not been emailed. Same guy shows up on 7/18. Has to order a part. Comes back on 7/22 puts new part in one toilet, adjusts the other toilet. The adjusted toilets handle was way up against the tank lid and floppy. I voiced my concern before he left. "That's not an issue" he says. Go to work. Come home. The toilet with the new part is running like a waterfall. The other toilet will not flush. Call the appointment line again. Calmly I tell what's happening. Gal says I will get a call from a manager. No call yet. 3 days later. Water shut off to the running toilet. Other toilet needs added water to flush.

They crew arrived on time. They were courteous, friendly, and professional. They removed my 36 year old furnace and installed a new Carrier unit. The new unit looks great and the basement area was left in perfect condition. They did a fantastic job. We could not be happier.

We had them replace our gutter and sump drain lines which were collapsed and broken. We were very happy with their work, and appreciate their flexibility - we requested an add-on that wasn’t part of the original estimate and they were able to add it to the job. Their crew was very friendly, professional, and polite. We would have no problems using Thomas & Galbraith again, and will recommend them to neighbors.
