Had a great experience with Mr. Appliance that started with the very friendly customer service representative on the phone. Our technician Dean was very professional and polite and answered all of my questions. He wore shoe coverings and laid down mats which is such a rare occurrence in the service industry. Loved the notifications leading up to his arrival as well. Our dryer is up and running now! Thank you!

Andrew was very professional and a delight to work with. I highly recommend him and this company. Love receiving the photo of who the technician will be, the detail of the repair process, and how quickly the company got us on the schedule.

*** UPDATED: The message below this asterisk is my original feedback and originally I rated them a 3. I’m now lowering it from a 3 to a 1 because I have since discovered the technician misdiagnosed the issue with freezer. I was told the issue was a cracked water line. I disconnected the water line to the fridge, and bought a brita because I was not going to pay the additional money to this company to get the ice machine working. However, the freezer continues to leak meaning the water is coming from somewhere other than a cracked water line since there hasn’t been water going to the fridge in 5 days. I would love if the office would call me and try to make this entire situation right by at the very least refunding money or being willing to send a tech to try again to fix the actual issue. If they make it right, I’d be happy to raise this back up but I will not reach back out to them after this headache. ****

ORIGINAL Feedback: I would rate the technician a 5 but the business a 1. I'm trying to be fair by averaging them out as a 3. I called in my initial request due to my freezer leaking water on the floor. They couldn't get me in for over a week and while we waited, our washing machine also quit. We called into the office and requested service on the washing machine, at the same time the tech came out for the freezer. They confirmed both could be addressed at the same time.

Upon the tech's arrival, he troubleshot both appliances and neither were able to be fixed that day. The washing machine was going to cost more to fix ($500+) than a new machine costs and the freezer was going to cost an additional $240 to repair. We were charged $140 for troubleshooting the Freezer and $120 for troubleshooting the washing machine that day, which in fairness was communicated to us in advance. The tech was here less than 2 hours, nothing was fixed(not to the fault of the tech, parts needed ordered).

I called the office after the tech left and asked if they would consider working with me. Both calls were under the same roof, at the same time, neither appliance was fixed, I asked that they give me $60 off the washing machine troubleshooting since it took less than 30 minutes. They would not. I even said I would move forward with the freezer repair if they would credit the washing machine service. They still refused.

Lastly, and this is my biggest issue that I strongly encouraged the manager I spoke with to consider addressing for fairness to all customers, I was told that if I wanted to move forward with any additional repairs, they were going to require that I pay 100% of the cost up front and shared it was not standard practice to even issue a signed agreement. Their argument was "you can't trust people to pay if we don't collect up front". My statement was "it's customary to ask for a down payment, not 100% of the cost to be paid upfront, especially without a written and signed agreement from you contractually binding you to finish the job. In the same way you can't trust your customers to pay, your customers have a right to doubt that you will show up to do the work if you have all of my money before the appliance is working". I was told that "they are a franchise, not some small shop, I could trust them". I said absolutely not, they already had almost $250 of my money, nothing was fixed, and they were showing me they were uninterested in building a partnership by not even considering working with me on price. I was willing to pay a percentage down upfront, of the remaining balance, but I was absolutely not going to pay them 100% of the money due prior to see the appliance fixed and working properly.

I have never left a negative review in my life. This one deserved one. I truly wanted to give a 1 star but the technician was good, I'm sure even the office people I talked to were only doing what they were told, but these business practices are ones that I absolutely can not support. I suppose I can agree to disagree with them.

They were extremely professional from the initial call to our tech Chris leaving after repair was done. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend this company to a friend.

Took them 10 minutes to get in my house. As they get in the kitchen the one guy makes himself comfortable and sits on the kitchen floor leans up against the stove. Took them 2 hours to diagnose my refrigerator. Diagnosed it, came back to fix it...still didn't work. So they couldn't come out for a week and I had just bought a bunch of groceries so I needed somebody ASAP. Call somebody else to come and fix it. Mr appliance guys installed the thermostat wrong which made it not run right. Also I had a plugged drain in the freezer which they never even checked first. The guy was new and when he came in to put the part in the boss just sat in the car instead of coming in with him and making sure he installed it correctly. Cost me $449 which is a huge rip off! Especially when they can't even fix it correctly. I would not recommend these people. They should be ashamed . Will be reporting them to the business bureau. Highly disappointed no five stars here

Got tired of being stood up, or no call back by the local "handyman" so I called Mr. Appliance. They talked about the problem in the initial call, scheduled a visit AND THEN CONFIRMED the visit the day before. Very professional repair person, fixed a major problem with my washer, explained what he did to everyone In the house.

The technician was very professional. And respectful of our home. He used booties, and mats to protect the floors and counters. He was courteous with calls and texts, and was on time. This is the second time that we have used Mr Appliance and we were satisfied both times.
