E&L did an excellent job installing a new furnace, AC, humidifier, and whole house air cleaner in our condo about 9 months ago. I wanted to wait to review until we’ve used all of them for awhile. And I’m happy to say everything has worked flawlessly.

For the room over our garage, they reversed one of the supply lines to a return line. That simple switch increased the temperature in that room by a few degrees in the winter, eliminating the need for a space heater. And the room is now a few degrees cooler in the summer, making it far more comfortable.

Installed new heat pump/AC. We’ve recommended them to half a dozen people for new installs. Techs are prompt, professional, polite and patient with questions. Pleasure to do business with. They were recommended by our former HVAC guy who retired.

E&L replaced the furnace,Central air and put on a humidifier on the furnace. Larry jr was great at explaining what I needed and what I didn’t need . The price was lower than anyone else I talked to and the guys who came to install everything were very friendly and professional . What great service and great people to do business with !

Amazing staff and service. A recent problem with our tankless hot water heater made us appreciate this company even more than we already did. We appreciated the efforts made by staff ( especially Jerry) and their persistence to get the job done.

About three weeks ago, I noticed the temperature rising in my home and called my usual HVAC company. Despite being a long-time customer, they put me off for several days—and then my A/C completely went out on a Sunday when temps were in the 90s. I called again and was told they were too busy.

That’s when I called E&L Heating—and I’m so glad I did. Within 15 minutes, an emergency service technician arrived, diagnosed the issue, and replaced a failed capacitor to get us back up and running.

Given the age of my system (25+ years), I made the decision to replace both the A/C and furnace. E&L ordered everything promptly and completed the full install last week. They sent out multiple technicians, and the job was done efficiently and with great attention to detail. I worked at Columbia Gas for 10 years, so I recognize excellent workmanship when I see it—and this was impeccable.

We spent several weeks considering different brands and contractors to replace a 25 plus year old AC and Furnace. From the initial meeting with Larry (owner) we corresponded via email and Larry answered my numerous questions clearly and completely and with absolute professional courtesy. Based on this set of interactions, it was clear that this is the company for us. Once the install was scheduled, the team was on time with advance notice of arrival and stayed as long as necessary each afternoon over 3 days to complete the install, test the systems and ensure we were satisfied. As the AC condenser outside sits on sloping ground, they installed the new pad and used pump-ups to ensure the unit stays well above soil level, all without being asked to do so. There was a problem with the brand new AC condenser unit which they rectified by replacing the unit which E&L had to push for on our behalf rather than accepting a repair kit. Systems are working extremely well. We look forward to being members of their maintenance club and using them for future needs. Thank you to Larry, Gene, Jerry and team!

I have been using this contractor for my heating/cooling needs for 17 years. I had a new system installed in 2005 by a different contractor, but they offloaded their HVAC to E & L Heating 3 years later for servicing. My compressor was shot, so they replaced it. I bought a 3 ton unit paired with an air handler or so I thought. They told me that they upgraded my indoor unit to a 3.5 ton unit to better pair with the 3 ton heat pump. I never knew the difference, but serviced my system faithfully over the years. I've had a few minor issues with the cooling these past 2 years (refrigerant needed topped off and replaced blown fuses).

My system recently died. They were supposed to quote me on a new system. They never did. They also told me they were 5 weeks out during this heat wave on installs. I have been a 17 year customer. This is unacceptable. I went and got 4 bids from various contractors and after I did my homework, I discovered that I only had a 2.5 ton unit paired with a 5 ton interior unit. I was lucky to get 20 years out of the system. I decided to use one of the 4 contractors to put in a new system. They were excellent putting in what I paid for, rearranging their schedule to get me installed with AC, and everyone was so professional from front office to the techs. E & L had been great for most of the 17 years aside from mismatching my system. That said, they have slipped in the past few years. Buyer beware. I'm just glad this didn't happen with them in January!

Just finished installing my new heat pump and air handler. My entire experience, from start to finish, was truly exceptional. I would give 6 stars if I could.

The entire staff; from the front office, to the owner, to the technicians were perfectionists in every way. From the first visit, each encounter was professional, respectful, pleasant, and most importantly.... patient. Everyone revealed a level of knowledge and experience about the products and overall profession to such a deep degree that they could even make me understand by effortlessly answering all my questions. Truly above and beyond.

S&S did pretty much anything I asked with a smile and a "Sure Thing" no matter how silly or complex it might have been. They were very respectful of my home and family making sure to not intrude, make a mess, or even walk around the home with their shoes on. For the most part we barely knew they were there even though they basically worked non-stop even with all of my “questions”. Once the job was done, the site was so clean you couldn’t even tell they were here, both inside and out.

We obtained several different quotes from different heating and cooling companies but Mark from S & S was by far the most knowledgeable and friendly guy with the most reasonable quote for a Trane HVAC system. Mark and his team got the job done quickly and efficiently and made sure everything was done correctly, with no questions left unanswered. I would highly recommend S & S!

I have been using S&S for over 12 years and have found them to be very honest. Recently I had them replace my Tankless Navien Combo for hot water and radiant floor heat. The system is awesome but complicated to install, this group has no problem navigating these challenges, very impressed!

I've used S & S Heating for 20 years. Mark Staron is a very honest and professional person. I just had them replace my hot water tank that they installed 20 years ago. Mark Jr. and Zach did a great job, very nice guy's.

Great job was done by S&S Heating. They replaced our two old air conditioners, serviced our two furnaces and replaced our hot water tank with a tankless water tank. S&S Heating, Cooling, and Sheet Metal, this past summer replace our complete HVAC system; furnace, AC indoor condenser, compressor unit and lineset, they added a humidifier, and replaced all of the ductwork.. My wife and I are very happy with planning, installation, and operation of our new HVAC system, it is efficient and very quiet. All the technicians were very thorough, friendly, and professional. We had a heater and AC unit installed. During the initial quoting when they came out Mark spent time to go through everything and explain differences and what he believed would work best for our home. He was patient and answered all the questions I had.
When it came time for installation a few men came out a couple days before to look at the work they were doing and how to approach it all. We had an existing wood stove that was connected in and they needed to work with and complicated things. They were very detailed and explained anything I was curious about. They even moved some things around to make it look cleaner. All the workers were very polite, professional and incredibly knowledgable.They worked hard and had passing conversations with me or my kids. They even had me come down and asked if it was okay to do something a little different that would give us more space in the basement.
All in all the experience was fantastic and I would absolutely have them do any other HVAC work we need done!

S&S Heating installed our Trane furnace and A/C 3 years ago. They have been doing our annual maintenance since then. S&S is an excellent company to work with...they are responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient. We recently had a problem with our A/C on a holiday weekend. Devin was out to our home and had the problem fixed within an hour of when we called!

We’ve used them for years! They recently installed an air conditioner unit and we are completely satisfied! The crew, we had Zach, is always respectful and polite, and professional. They take care of all of our heating and cooling needs!! Exceptional service!! I also would like to mention that the office is very friendly!! Uneducated and sloppy individuals in this company. Used dye in my Daikin unit in which destroys EEV Valve Mini Split systems! My $15K system is trashed now. I must also mention they are very insulting, No people skills at all. OWNER, Please educate your techs to use a proper micron gauge when using a vacuum and also pressure test the system with nitrogen first.. This is simple HVAC procedure!!

We had problems with our Trane furnace. I can't remember the last time I had such great service. Every aspect of the job was done right from being on time to knowledgeable, professional service reps. Too many of our neighbors have had problems with other companies. Glad we have S&S in our family!

I had S & S come out to my business to finish a final hook up for a mini split unit (for a shipping container office). Mark (Owner) and I had communication through out the process what I needed done. Mark even came out twice to help me brain storm a few ideas how to mount the mini split since it was my first one I have installed. Then his guys came out and were absolutely fantastic. His two technicians were on-time and very professional. I will definitely be calling them again for not only my business, but if I need any HVAC work done at my home. Thanks S&S!

All employees were very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. We needed a new Heating System and AC. They explained the best options, best pricing, and let us choose what was best for us without pushing a system we didn’t need.

They were the only company to explain why certain rooms upstairs were not getting the correct temperatures, replaced with the correct ducts, and now it’s perfect.

I had a same day emergency with our AC going out in the middle of June. S&S was able to send a technician out within a couple hours who diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. Zach was the technician and he was very knowledgeable about the AC unit, walking me through several things for future service. We needed a run capacitor replaced on the outside AC unit. Zach completed the install and even spoke to our home warranty providers to confirm the claim. 5 stars across the board.
