I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I’ve been trying to get PK Wadsworth to respond to my complaint for 6 weeks with no luck. I’ve called multiple times, sent an email and a letter via US mail. I’ve refused to schedule an inspection to close the building permit and refused to sign off on the work with the finance company so PK Wadsworth has not been paid for the work. I though that might get there attention but, despite assurances that the service manager would call me, so far he hasn’t.

The main issue is that the AC unit the installed is HUGE. The salesman never mentioned the fact that the new unit would be twice the size of my old one and I was not offered a choice. It never occurred to me to ask about the size — I had no idea that AC units could be that big. I have friend who had PK Wadsworth installed an AC (same brand) that is less than half the size of what I got. The house next door, which is 50% bigger than mine, got a new AC this year and it’s also about half the size.

I wouldn’t care except that it’s right next to my deck and blows warm air onto the deck when it’s running. Perhaps nothing can be done short of me buying a new unit, but I would have expected a call at the very least.

While I’m at it, I will say that I the installation didn’t go smoothly. The technicians were very nice and seemed professional. When they were done, they showed me how to change the filter on my new furnace and how to program the thermostat and I assumed all was well. However, when they left, the AC was running and I discovered that there was no way to turn it off. Thankfully, they sent another tech right away who spent an hour fixing the issue and, at my insistence, testing the furnace to make sure it would work properly. But it seems like making sure that the thermostat is actually controlling the systems should be basic procedure.

PK Wadsworth always does an excellent job with our heating and air conditioning issues. Derek Cannon is the technician that we use on a regular basis. He is highly professional and always solves the problem.

Ben, from PK Wadsworth, came ended a general plumbing inspection of our house. This was complementary. I learned several things about maintenance that I was not aware of. We have used PK Wadsworth for our heating and air-conditioning, but not for plumbing. After this visit, I would consider their service In the future.

Phoned this service provider today and spoke with a very pleasant receptionist who took the lengthy details for two service calls and was advised someone would call me back to get the calls scheduled. Received a call back in a very timely fashion from a very rude receptionist who hung up on me because I did not readily repeat the lengthy details of the service calls. I called back thinking the call dropped and she admitted hanging up on me. Its unfortunate that they have people on the front line of their company turning away business with their unprofessionalism.

Dantae did an excellent job. He arrived on time, was very efficient and explained what he was doing in the service call. I recommend him highly.

Jerrell was great and informative. He helped me understand how to maintain my system and provided great advice. Super friendly too!

Technician Mike Matuszewski came out December 1 for a pressure switch fail on the furnace. Mike really knows his stuff. Extremely knowledgeable and professional and quickly diagnosed the problem and came up with a solution.
Technician Ethan Milko came out November 7 for a leaking condensation collector box and inducer motor issue with the furnace. Ethan also quickly identified the issue, ordered parts and was back as soon as the parts were available.

These fellas were not only knowledgeable but also very personable and easy to work with. If I have issues again with my furnace I hope that they are available to work on it. I trust them.

Sal did a great job with my furnace and air conditioning system inspection. I would recommend him to family and friends. Very knowledgeable and took the time to show me around my heating and air conditioning systems. Five Stars

We had a great experience working with Eric. He answered all of our questions and we are very happy we went with PK Wadsworth!

I just had a great experience with Ethan when he came for a furnace tune up today. He was friendly, efficient, wore floor savers, explained my options and gave me a good overview of my furnace along with some good safety tips. Highly recommend and will have him back out in the spring to do my AC unit.

Mike Matuszewski was fabulous. He moved my carbon monoxide monitor to a proper place, he changed a filter that was not on my furnace, he explained why my furnace was making noises and gave me insight as to future services. He was so knowledgeable and it was much appreciated by me.

Jermaine Jolly is a great HVAC specialist and has demonstrated great attention to detail and hard work in getting my steam boiler back up to speed. My boiler needed a full black iron near boiler re-pipe. Jermaine designed the piping and executed the job with professionalism. When problems popped up after the initial work Jermaine came back to fix the problem areas and address my needs. He’s a hard worker and a good person.

Pete was very friendly and provided helpful information when I asked questions. He didn't just tell me the problems he found, he showed me.

Want to thank the PK Wadsworth team and specially Ethan who came in last minute when our furnace stopped working during the winter storm. Ethan did a thorough diagnostic and provided multiple options so we could pick the one that made the most sense. He then followed that up with a timely repair once the parts came in. They will be my first call going forward!

Mike Marconi was terrific. Quickly identified and fixed a problem with our boiler. Very important when it is very cold. Did all this while being pleasant and instructive
