My furniture and rug look like new. This was my first time ever having my furniture cleaned and I was very nervous as we have expensive furniture that I did not want ruined. They did a fantastic job! I didn’t even think my rug was really that dirty but after seeing finished product I am amazed by how I had just gotten used to the dark spots. I will definitely be a return customer. You can’t even tell I have kids who like to spill things on the furniture and floor.

Love this family business! We have been using them for several years. We have family coming in town and needed our upstairs carpets cleaned. I called them and they worked me in and did a great job for an even better price!!

My mother was referred to this company to clean the carpets in my recently bought condo. The condition of the carpet is almost worse than before the cleaning, its very crunchy and stains are still visible. We called to see if there’s anything to be done about the texture and there was no apology, just a dismissive and defensive response. We were given the advice to vacuum over the cleaned carpet, which is now pulling up carpet fibers everywhere. Overall very disappointed, wouldn’t recommend.

I called dozens of carpet cleaning companies for a recent 'pet emergency'. Elliott and his son came ASAP, charged a reasonable price, didn't try to upsell me on anything and our carpet looks good as new! He even followed up with me the next day. I have literally never written a review on the internet (not even amazon). Customer Service is a lost art and these guys nail it.

We'd been using one of the national companies to clean our carpets for years, but the service kept getting shoddier and shoddier, so we did some research and found Extra Effort. Being a local company, we thought it might be better. Boy were we right. Their name says it all - they really go the extra mile in so many ways. Our carpets have never looked better, and their attention to detail is incredibly impressive. If you're in the Tri-State area, I HIGHLY recommend giving Extra Effort a call - you'll be happy you did!

Highest quality cleaners in the tri-state. Always on time and always leave everything looking brand new. Fair prices for the high quality work. Takes longer than cheaper, bigger companies who do a quick and careless job but totally worth it. Besides cleaning they have done water damage for my basement…late-night call and took care of every step of the process. I recommend them to everyone.

Very pleased by this wonderful family business. Why does that matter? Because it's clear that they put in the effort and care like only a small business owner will do. An employee of a chain carpet service just cannot compare. I couldn't be happier by the significant time that they spent on our home. Both carpets and furniture were cleaned. These guys are the BEST. If you are looking for carpet cleaning, look no further. They are easy to communicate on time, professional, attention to detail, and price is very very reasonable. My wife and I thought to put new carpets because our old ones look aged, but after cleaning by these guys, I think it will have at least another 5 years.

I'm a very cautious consumer and I'm pretty picky when it comes to purchasing services. I researched many other carpet cleaners in the area, including the really big names and this place had the very best price and by far the best customer service. I enjoyed being able to call the owners and ask questions and get direct detailed answers over the phone. They showed up in a timely manner and did a great job with my carpet. It's like new! They were respectful in my home and a pleasure to talk to. I was 100% pleased with my experience with Extra Effort Carpet Cleaning. This really seems like the kind of place that customers come back to over and over. I plan to use them again next time!
