I recently had the pleasure of hiring Streb Electric to replace my electric panel. Over the years I've had numerous home renovations and the existing panel was full and potentially unsafe. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The technicians, Jim and John, exhibited a level of professionalism, expertise, and dedication that exceeded my expectations.

Such a fantastic experience from the time I called till the time the job was complete. Receptionist who took my call was extremely nice and prompt on my issues. Within a half hour Danny the electrician showed up. He to was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable about replacing my circuit breaker panel. I didn’t even waste any time trying to find other quotes. Hired Danny right there. With the help of Hope, they had my whole panel replaced by late afternoon. Lawrence, Daniel, Anthony and 1 other technician were very kind, courteous and professional. I would recommend them to anyone. My jobs ranged from relatively simple replacement outlets, installation of new outlets, and the challenging job of installing a new chandelier above a 20 foot ceiling over a staircase! Much building construction was required to support the heavy lift motor in the attic to allow the chandelier to go up and down at the touch of a switch (for cleaning and bulb replacement purposes).

Mike was very straight forward about the work that he did. He gave us a chance to discuss our pricing options in private. He was able to complete the job that same morning in a very timely fashion.

The installation of our hot tub required a unique solution. Our technician worked with us, explained all the options,and recommended a code-compliant solution, including ordring special components to fit our needs.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Streb Electric.

I scheduled an appt. for basement fixtures/ outlet repair and a fuse box upgrade. Christy started there would be a $50 service fee for estimate.
Okay, took day off. She calls right before scheduled arrival time to say they had an emergency and can't make it. So now, I'm out pay for the day. The reason I scheduled i read the Google reviews, they don't have an available tech? Sorry 1 star for me.
Now looking for a reputable electrician in lake county.

Ryan Compton from Streb Electric did an excellent job on totally upgrading my electrical system (replacing a fuse box, replacing electrical panels, grounding, upgrading outlets to GFCI, etc. etc.) He was here for 4 straight days, some days for 11 hours in the extreme cold without complaint. Thank you Streb for a great job.

Jim did a great job discovering the electrical issue I was having in my kitchen and fixed the problem in timely manner. I would recommend Streb Electric for your electrical needs..

Lawrence is amazing! He had to come back out to bring my cord and test the generator panel. He is always pleasant and helpful. I am so happy with my decision to use Streb for my electrical work and will recommend them to anyone who needs work done

I just wanna say I don’t like talking bad upon any smaller business, I understand the hustle and I get it’s not easy task. But first I’d like to say the job was done and everything works, there’s a new panel in our house and a good brand for that matter.

My negative is first off Ron our tech wasn’t listed on the tech page when asked for feedback (not a big deal but odd). But the breakers looked like a older style compared to what we had, I did call about but it seemed the service manager said they aren’t, but looking them up online and talking to a few people I think they are older, they looked slightly used and peice of plastic over a 220 was broken.

I guess my expectations for that kind of price range was a bit higher than what was provided. The guy also left metal shavings in our utility sink along with the metal he punched out of each breaker slot on the floor and copper wire scrap behind water tank.

Again I’m not trying to be negative, but when I called in, the service manager said they were all new breakers and there was nowhere to go from there. They could come replace the plastic that’s broken but it’s not an huge deal.

Otherwise I don’t have really any complaints it all works as of right now. Just for the price I’d expect a higher level of professionalism.

Again, I’m not saying the company is bad or anything in that nature, I’d still recommend them. Just had higher expectations from a reputable company.

Streb Electric has been wonderful to work with! They have been very thorough with their work, are great at communicating and accommodating schedules, and have been friendly throughout the whole process! I highly recommend them for any electrical work needed big or small!

Update 1/27: Ryan reached out to me to discuss my review and see what he could do and also to go over details about the house. He was extremely nice and professional and offered to come back out to take a look himself. I really appreciate him taking the time and sincerely carrying about the issue.

When we had them out a couple months ago for an issue with an outlet and ceiling fan. The service tech pulled out an outlet to take a look at what was going on. From that he was able to deduce that we needed a whole house rewiring and that meant bringing everything up to code including a new panel (even though we just had ours upgraded the previous summer). He quoted us $60,000! And that’s without drywall being patched up. The house is only 1200 sqft and from the mid 40s.

Every professional I talked to since about this said that is an astronomically high price and is a “we don’t want to do it” price. Why even bother to waste our time?

Guys came to finish multiple task work order. Arrived upon agreed time and knocked out remaining tasks in short order. Very pleasant electricians who were enjoyable to talk with. Everything done well. I highly recommend Streb Electric and their electricians.

Continuation of work described above. Replaced attic fan motor and associated components. They explained how to vary operating settings in a clear concise manner.

I then requested that they give a whirl fixing my problematic driveway gate operator. They worked very well as a team, methodically going over each item in the control panel. In about 45 minutes they had restored the gate operator to working order whereas the hacks that originally installed it couldn’t get it working despite numerous attempts.
