Plumbing reviews in Edmond, Oklahoma

We have used this company twice. Both times they were professional, and the price was great. In fact we had multiple quotes and both times they were the best value.
Our most recent technician was Juan, and he was very professional and timely. He called to let us know he was on the way and completed the job quickly and competently. Thanks Juan! I saw another review which I hope your company doesn't take too seriously. It seems as though maybe that reviewer had some prejudicial thoughts influencing their review of your services. -
I couldn’t be more pleased with the service from the Water Heater Man. I got a next day afternoon appointment but the technician, Juan, was actually able to come by in the morning. Juan took a look at our tank and explained everything that needed to be done. It did need to be replaced (it was very old). Juan worked very quickly and had us up and running in about an hour. He was great to work with.
I’d highly recommend their services. Price was very reasonable and they did quick work! -
I am very happy with the Water Heater Man service! Our water heater was out and we were expecting to have to purchase a new one. The service technician, Juan, came out and spent just a few minutes to reset the water heater. Everything works fine now and he didn't even charge us! The Water Heater Man company is a good neighbor.

Great experience with this company and the technician, Juan. They fit us in within hours of our initial call on a Friday afternoon, checked and then replaced our hot water heater. Price was well under what we were quoted from another company and they were able to schedule us faster. Would definitely use again!

What a great experience. I called around for estimates on a tank-less water heater install. Water Heater Man was by far the most reasonably priced and charged me exactly what they quoted me for the job. On top of that, they quoted me one day and were out to do the job the very next day. The lady I dealt with was very nice and the technicians that came out to do the install were very professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them.

Super nice. I had a water heater installed from them several years ago. I recently had an issue with it recently and they came out fast and didn't even charge me because it was a small fix. You cannot find anybody that does that anymore. -- I will be for sure contacting you in future. Thinking of getting a tankless in a couple of years and have all your information saved for the job :)

Two responsible young men came out and did a great job removing and installing my water heater , they cleaned up the mess as well !! Kudos to Kyle and Landon ! I think they need a raise 😎 thanks again KD

When my 5 year old Bradford White water heater failed and I was unable to reach the previous installer, I called the Water Heater Man of OKC. Within an hour, Kyle and Landon arrived, inspected the heater and determined it needed to be replaced. Thankfully the heater was still under warranty and I only had to pay the reasonable installation charge. These guys were fantastic work with, friendly, and super fast. Highly recommended!

So, I will caveat this review with we did not end up using their services but his is based on price offering alone. We called them out to look at the hot water heater. The pilot was out, they relit it and informed us it was leaking and we needed a new one. They didn't charge to relight the pilot which is why I gave 3 stars. If this was price alone review... it would definitely be 1 star. It's a 75gal which is pretty large water heater. I asked how much to replace, $6500!!! I know what hot water heaters cost, and that prices is absolutely ridiculous. We live in a nice neighborhood, so not sure if that is the nice neighborhood tax or what. They informed me they could replace that and my water softener for $10,000!!! LMAO!!! MMM ok. called around got some other prices which ranged from $2600, to $3200 for a 75 gal or $1600 - 1900 for a 50 gal which is really all we need for the size of house number of people. Bottom line, I feel like their prices are outrageous and probably fluctuate quite a bit depending on zip codes and cost of the cars in your driveway. Definitely shop it around. I did click their website and it said account suspended at the time of this post, so that could be a possible red-flag.

Beware of Water Heater Man and their technician Juan, as my recent experience with them was marked by their dishonesty and unethical behavior.
Our gas water heater in our rental home did not work. The pan under it was full of water which prevented the heater from staying lit. Reading many good reviews here, we decided to call Juan for help and asked him to inspect it to see where the water came from. Juan said that he could not identify where the water came from, declared that the water heater was irreparably damaged, insisting it needed replacement.
Initially, Juan proposed a labor-only fee of $1,600 to replace the water heater. Upon our hesitation, he flexibly adjusted the cost to $600 and eventually $500. Recognizing the urgency expressed by the tenants for a same-day replacement, Juan assured them that he could replace it immediately. Due to the tenants' pressure, we agreed with Juan to proceed with the water heater replacement. Given the straightforward nature of the task— just to connect the pipes to the new tank, no upgrades required since it’s a new construction home—Juan completed the replacement in just half an hour.
Shortly after the installation, we encountered a frustrating recurrence of issues. The pan was AGAIN filled with water, as a result, the new tank did not stay lit. How come the same problem happened again with a BRAND NEW water heater? Juan retuned to reroute the discharge pipe to the drain, so it would not drip to the pan anymore. This adjustment made it evident that the problem lay not with the water heater itself but with an underlying leak issue.
Subsequently, I had to seek the expertise of another plumber to unravel the ongoing issue. According to the new plumber, a leaking discharge pipe could be due to various factors, including high water pressure, high temperature, a faulty expansion tank, or a bad T&P valve. It turned out that the T&P valve was bad and the cost to replace a T&P valve was only $20.
Instead of replacing a T&P valve for $20, Juan insisted that the tank needed to be replaced since it’s a quick and easy job for more money. He initially asked for $1,600 for the replacement which took half an hour of labor.
The worst thing was that he was not responsible for his mistake after all. It became evident that the crux of the problem wasn't the tank itself but the persistent leak. Rather than addressing the root cause and rectifying the issue, Juan opted to reroute the discharge pipe to the drain, effectively concealing any visible leakage into the pan. The leak was still there but we could not see it, it would also not drip to the pan anymore, so the water heater would light again. He did that just to cover his mistake but it does not fix the underlying issue that it was still leaking. We texted Juan multiple times and asked if it was still leaking, but he ignored our messages and calls.
It shouldn’t be dripping in the first place and the pipe should not have been rerouted all the way into the drain (please see the pictures). It needs an air gap. It is NOT SAFE to do that and is ILLEGAL! That drain has to be visible with an air gap so you can see if it leaks. It is a safety hazard and a code violation! He did it that way so that we could not see the problem he could not fix (or did not want to fix). We plan to report this with the State License Board. We asked if Juan had a plumbing license, but he did not answer.
The fact that the leaking from the t&p valve and he stated that we needed a tank replacement is a failure for all honest plumbers. Our newer heater water should NOT have needed to be replaced in the first place. The fact that he conceal the leak by rerouting the discharge pipe to the drain without an air gap is not safe and unethical. Also, asking for $1600 for half an hour of labor, then reduced to $600, then $500, and used tactics to push us to proceed due to tenant pressure was unethical.
Stay away from this dishonest business. Check if they are actually licensed, bonded and insured. -
Expensive but not above market - same day work done to remove and install a water heater - took about two hours and these young men were prompt and addressed other issues left over by the previous WH install - great service!

Outstanding local business We have used Water Heater Man for years. They have a great warranty on Water Heaters and have always been prompt with fair prices!
-
Great customer service and quick install. They actually make sure your tank is installed up to code with permits and inspection. Alot of these companies skip corners and dont do that. Great pricing and a more awesome warranty, none of the other companies I spoke to could beat there warranty. The install tech was very imformative and taught me about my new water heater and maintence to do, where everything is, etc. Just very easy to work with in a stressful time of no hot water! I called around alot of places and im glad I decided on them. Weve had our new water heater now for about 6 months and no issues.

We had a slab leak. Of course, such a plumbing disaster had to happen on a Saturday. We contacted my brother and sister-in-law (we both live in Edmond) to find out who they used a few weeks ago to fix a leak they had in their foundation and she recommended this company. I called and left a message. Despite being a Saturday night, Mike texted me back shortly afterwards stating that he'd be over the next day due to already being on an emergency job. Sunday afternoon, Mike came to our house with some equipment that was straight out of Star Trek and found the leak under our kitchen sink. He was really concerned about having to bust through our tile floor, so he opted to go under the counter and found the leaking hot water pipe. The solution was to repipe the line with PEX. I did not want to ever have to deal with this again, so I had Mike and his team repipe the whole eastern half of my house since they already were through the floor and had easy access. This included the refrigerator water line, guest bathroom sink, toilet, and shower. Other issues were discovered along the way including a heavily corroded and unserviceable main shutoff valve. So, they repiped it and installed a shiny new valve. I really appreciate how the crew kept wall and floor damage to a minimum as well as the red and blue PEX lines to identify which lines are cold and hot. In addition, Mike made sure that we had running water every night before his crew had to leave so we could shower and have working bathrooms. These poor guys worked around 27 hours over 3 days repairing, repiping, and cleanup. They are super nice and down to earth people who work their butts off. I actually had to buy them lunch at one point so they would stop and take a break. The cost of the work was VERY reasonable for what they had to do in my case. If you have a plumbing issue of ANY kind, I highly recommend this company.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber! Mike with Slab & Pipe Leak Detection of Oklahoma was amazing! I live in NW OKC. He was super responsive to me. His daughter got sick before our appointment and this man made sure his kiddo was ok, found child care & still made it to me.
Then when he got to me, I didn’t have a leak. He didn’t charge me a service fee. He told me what to do and went on with his day.
I gave these details this shows the type of company this is. I found someone on Reddit talking about how great this company is and they still undersold how amazing these people are.
You want to know you are doing business with someone who is honest and honorable and THAT is who Mike is. That is what you can expect from Slab & Pipe Leak Detection of Oklahoma. -
Great guy, great service, great pricing. I didn't have to deal with one of those companies with lots of people and little service. Very communicative, friendly, and a great plumber. This is the first time I've ever recommended a plumber to anyone.

Suspected water leak due to extremely high water bill. In ten minutes he was able to give us peace of mind that we did not have a leak in our house or main line so we will have to look at our sprinklers. Because he was able to determine that right away, he didn’t charge us the usual inspection fee! Awesome guy and would recommend him to anyone!

First of all let me say this was the most professional and well run company that I have ever had the experience of working with. I moved into a rental property that had been vacant during a hard freeze and quickly found multiple leaks under my foundation. The leaks totaled 20,000+ gallons of water. The gentleman at Slab & Pipe Leak Detection of Oklahoma came in and repaired ALL of the leaks within 6 hours and pressure tested all of their work to make sure that it was up to their high standard. The owner and his assistant were amazing throughout the entire process!! They explained what was going on, performed an amazing service and left the place ready for the dry wall to be repaired and painted. If you have any sort of leak please reach out to them before someone digs up the slab of your home!! Could not recommend more!

We needed a leak evaluation before starting some foundation work and we reached out to Mike after doing some research. He was quick to respond and worked well around our schedule.0 When he came out, he was very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended and will be reaching out again for future work.
