TruGreen just called and hung up on me! They were trying to sell me additional services and I told them “not at this time” since the last 3 times they came to my yard, it didn’t seem their equipment was functioning perfectly for my yard, I had large brown patches from over-fertilization - previously they initially argued with me and finally sent a manager out and he finally admitted it was over-fertilization and a malfunction with their equipment and this time they just hung up!!

I am enjoying the TruGreen experience. It has been easy to reschedule appointments to fit my hectic schedule. Augustine came out recently and did a great job. I appreciate him closing my gates. My only concern was the technician who sprayed for bugs around the house perimeter and removed cobwebs. I literally walked into a cobweb when going out the back door. Otherwise, I have been very happy with the work and technicians.

These people sprayed and fertilized my yard today, without my consent or without an order. They sprayed volatile weed killer in a gusting 25 mph wind, They fertilized my driveway and sidewalk more than my yard. Please use a local service, not this large regional service with sub standard employees who can’t find the right address. This company has no local representatives. They cannot be reached anyway but a call center service. Their service men were not understanding that I did not hire them and just kept spraying and fertilizing. I tried to tell them that it had been done last week, and they did not believe me. Please DO NOT HIRE TRUGREEN. You will be sorry, or like my neighbor who did not get sprayed and fertilized. You will pay for a text telling you they took care of your lawn, when in reality they sprayed it out on a neighbor who did not want it . I have spent about an hour on the phone with various company representatives, and have yet to talk to anyone with any authority or knowledge. Hope you at TRUGREEN are monitoring your reviews. My Counselor is onboard and retained for the action. Update, after trying all day, no luck in getting through the answering service to an actual company representative. I will begin again tomorrow. Day 2 and I think I should give as accurate an account of Mondays incident as I can. At approx. 10:45 am, I was watering my plants and flowers on my back porch. I heard the gate latch jingle and then heard voices, so I stood up and started around the sw corner of my house. I was met at the corner by a man carrying a backpack sprayer, talking, pumping, and spraying everywhere he walked followed closely by a man pushing a granular fertilizer spreader. We almost collided, and I ask him what he was doing? Without stopping or slowing down, he told me that he had rang the doorbell and no answer. I immediately ask him what he was spraying at pointed at him and his sprayer. Again without any change in his actions, he proceeded to tell me that he was spraying my weeds that were bad, I had nutsedge and other weeds that were bad. The wind was gusting as high as 25 mph on Monday. I felt the mist from his sprayer land on my face and arms. At this point I retreated to the safety of my home to avoid any further contact with the toxic chemicals that were being applied to my yard. These two men quickly covered all of my yard with both of their payloads. In just minutes it was done and I could not stop them. I went back outside after I could see he put the sprayer down and ask him why they were here. He told me he was here for my regular service. I said that my yard service had been here last week and fertilized only, because I do not allow chemicals to be sprayed on my property. My wife is trying to recover from triple negative invasive ductile carsenoma, she has recently completed six months of chemotherapy and more months of surgery and recovery. I have breathing issues. I have high sulfide sensitivity. I visit my pulmonologists every six months. Today I called TRUGREEN back and informed them that I was experiencing symptoms. I am not sure at this point what to do. They have blocked my number and will not return my calls. I also have a few flowers starting to droop and wilt, I am watering them to try and save them, however the action of the toxic chemicals that they applied is slow and most of the time deadly. I will continue to update this post.

Derrick S performed my service today and did a fantastic job. Derrick and I walked the property and found all the problem areas that needed attention. Derrick treated the lawn and was very pleasant to work with. I look forward to working with Derrick in the future.

Morning of 8-15-25 there was a sign in my yard from Tru green. The sign wasn't there when I went in for the evening (5:00 p.m.) My yard was not treated. I had NO notifications of any kind. I will not use them again actually during all treatments there was only one person that was a professional.

Jacob from TrueGreen completed my lawn spraying service today in a timely manner. He rang my doorbell and announced himself before he started and after he finished. This was very professional. He let me know if the weed patches in my yard did not disapate in about 14 days I could call TrueGreen to come back out and retreat the problem area. This was very professional and helpful. BIG UPS TO JACOB YOU DID GREAT TODAY AT MY HOME!!!!

We paid for serviced for 2 years and during this time no one told us that our trees were "too tall" and they were unable to treat them. They continued to charge us and not provide treatment. All of our trees are over 8ft, so they should have never sold us a deal that they could not provide!! We've spoke with multiple mangers in the company with no resolution or refund. We would not recommend to anyone.

Derrick did a great job taking the time to explain the treatment for today and how we can collaboratively make my yard look its best in the future.

Had my first service ever with trugreen, tech was Mike T. He only did my front yard didn’t even attempt to go in my backyard (which I am paying for them to do). My dog wasn’t out nor did he go the extra mile to contact to be sure if he didn’t feel safe. He left the service notes on my door and never came back even after me calling immediately after he left. I’m already gonna be canceling cause if this is the laziness on my first service, I can’t imagine my next 7. NOT A GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION!!!!!

My personal experience with our technician has been great. He’s courteous and kind as he know we have pets so lets me know how long to keep them off the treatment. Last week we had standing water in an area, and because our furbabies might drink the puddles he had no problem allowing me to reschedule for their safety. Thank You TruGreen for your professional and kind employees.

Treated my front yard on May 26, 2022..Per contract they were only to treat back yard!! I live in Edmond, OK and we had gotten 5 inches of rain the previous 7 days and front lawn looked beautiful. After treating my front yard with fertilizer which is all fescue grass, I now have burn marks all over my front yard… I called TruGreen and asked for a manager to call me which they obviously chickened out and never called. I have cancelled my service for ever and requested my $85.00 payment back which they agreed to do but told me the credit will not hit my bank card account for 7 DAYS….This lawn service company is a joke and I am currently considering legal action against these idiots!!!! “DO NOT USE THIS LAWN SERVICE”………..

Requested aeration, fertilizer, and weed preventer services. Took 40 days after calling for aeration for them to arrive, and the weed preventer killed a large amount of grass. To their credit, they sent someone out to inspect the damage free of charge, but there was no remedial action for the lawn. It was suggested that a new employee must have put down the incorrect weed preventer chemical, but the lawn should eventually regrow. I contacted TruGreen because I expected a knowledgeable staff to maintain my lawn health.  I have canceled my services. I can kill grass just fine on my own.

Very polite and friendly specialist who explained the treatment and safety if the treatment to me, and what the application of the treatment was for.

I signed up online for the lawn service 3-31-25 and prepaid $123.45.

Then I get a call from a rep who tried to sell me their service. I informed her I already signed up, I just need the service.

The next day, I get texts from the local rep about their services. I thought they were just being cordial. Regular texts for two days then finally a call where they asked when they could come out. I said ASAP, the fence is unlocked.
They came out then called me to tell me what services I needed. (!?)
I informed them that I already signed up for the services I need I JUST NEED THE SERVICE. "Oh! OK we will get you scheduled."
Another week goes by, nothing. The guy that responded to every text immediately suddenly ghosted me.
I call Friday to cancel on 4-11. They apologize and asked for another shot, put me down for 4-14-25 service.
They No Showed.

I've wasted over 2 crucial weeks in early spring.
We'll see if I get my refund. If not, a Stop Payment will be done through the bank and BBB will be notified.

As a previous one-year long customer in Oklahoma, I still do feel obligated to share our experience. We purchased a roughly $800 yearly program with seven applications back in May 2018 to have Trugreen help us maintain our nearly one acre front and back fenced lawn. As generation Millennials, my husband and I have been trying to maintain the lawn on our own, including mowing, annual pre-emergence/post-emergence weed control, fertilization ect... However, we can barley keep up with a decent maintenance due to the size of our lawn. Thus, we thought it would be more economically efficient to hire professionals assist us, Trugreen was our choice and the first ever lawn care professional. Since the beginning of this year, I had a few chances to witness how the treatment was really conducted. The technician came out here after talking to me regarding the whole yard weed post-emergency control, I saw him wearing a backpack pressure sprayer only did spot treatments and left with a response "they can come out as many times as we request services through out the year if weeds don't die". I thought that sounds like it will be our responsibility to remind them out here to treat weeds. Then next scheduled service was the last one before I had to cancel our renewal. A different technician came for fertilization and whole area weed control, he was in-and-out for 14 minutes shown on his service slip hang on front door handle. Unfortunately, 24 hours later I noticed our front lawn started showing browning/over-burnt spots. Please see pictures (and you can still see healthy weeds standing)... I called customer service with an explanation 'possibly high rate of herbicide'.. Wow, in this case, we must be really lucky as the technician really did not do 'whole area weed control' but left tracks of where were treated?... I am really disappointed that we are not one of those fortunate customers who are satisfied...Now I looked back all the service slips with roughly 10-20 mins for each service...and this does support the fact that our lawn has been gradually getting worse because it has never been a whole lawn treatment... This was a well-learnt experience for me..

TruGreen lets you know when they are on their way, so they are always on time.They fertilize and provide weed control for my lawn. I had apply fescue to part of my lawn and my little dog tore it up in the winter. I was afraid it was not going to come back. Since TruGreen stared taking care of it, it is now a beautiful lawn, thick and green.I am very please.

Omar did an excellent job. He was courteous and efficient. He took time to go over the entire yard to determine the spots that were problems. I would be very happy if Omar was the person responsible for all of my services with TruGreen. Thank you for respraying my yard today. I will certainly be recommending your services to my neighbors.
