If your home warranty company is sending them out REQUEST A DIFFERENT COMPANY! They sent a contractor out and they submitted an estimate that was completely ridiculous. I do not believe you could even call it missed diagnosed. The submission stated we had several pieces of missing plumbing. Which is not true. We had a leak in a section of pvc pipe. Less than 200 dollars worth of work. Their estimate wa 3850.00. Our home warranty would not cover it because the estimate said we had missing plumbing. I do not believe this is the fault of the plumber who came to our home. But the dishonesty of his boss. Due to the fact that we were using our home warranty he lied trying to get as much as possible from the warranty company. We would not have contacted this particular company had we been given the option based on the reviews. I believe there are customers who have had positive experiences. I also believe the gentleman who came to our home was very nice and professional and this was not his fault. But if you are using a home warranty DO NOT USE THEM! If you want a good honest company contact Adoni plumbing. They are professional, honest, and very nice. They previously replaced our hot water heater. It was a bear of a job. The space was cramped the tank huge but they worked all day and got it in and functional. They went through every step with us on the estimate. Showing us exactly what they were submitting and why. Very honest people! Mason plumbing also a great company with great people. They are very honest and have high standards for the work they do for their customers.

My home warranty company sent Affordable Leak Detection out several times to work on different issues. There were issues with their service several times.
The last time they were called out due to low water pressure. They came and looked quickly and said it was due to a failure in my pressure tank. I had a person come to repair/replace the pressure tank and he said that the issue was NOT the pressure tank but the well pump. He replaced the well pump and everything worked great!
Previous times they came to unclog a drain and it was okay for a few weeks and returned. I had someone else come out and they rerouted the drain due to poor initial construction and it has permanently fixed the problem.
I will never use them again.

My Home Warranty sent Affordable Leak to my home to replace my water heater. The technician came out (my father was at the house because I had to work) he looked at the unit and told my father that it did need replacing and that he would have to bring it up to code. He stated he will take the information back to his shop and would call me later that evening with the Home Warranty approval. Needless to say I didn’t get the call and three days later I called my home warranty to check on the status and they stated “the information came through that day.” This company was going to charge me $1200 to bring the unit up to code. My Home warranty informed me I could get another plumber to complete the job (and did) when the other plumber came out he gave me an estimate of $1100 for the new unit and the install. I asked about bringing the unit up to code and he stated it is up to code. BEWARE!!!

The plumber Buddy was incredible, kind and most of all patient w/ my elderly father who can't hear, gets confused and is often suspicious. He took time to explain things until my dad was satisfied. He completed work in timely manner. He cleaned up after himself
Following repair. I would recommend him and this company, I would recommend them highly!

I met with the owner of the company seemed very kind and professional and I hired him to fix a slab leak and he required payment prior to completion. They came out and started drilling in my concrete and the workers did not inform me to turn off my air conditioner until after they had almost completed drilling in the concrete. They did not setup temp walls to contain the dust. The dust went all over my home in my clothes, air ducts, walls, all over everything. I called left messages for the owner several times and he never returned my calls. He never apologized for the inconvenience. Very unprofessional, I will not be doing business with this company I would not have expected this from Buddy! Beware they don't consider their customers or circumstances that are created by them. Very unprofessional!

I came to leave a positive review and was shocked to read all the negative reviews on this company after our experience with them! They were sent to our house through our home warranty and Buddy was extremely helpful and knowledgable regarding our situation. We ended up filing an insurance claim due to the damage and at one point I needed an itemized list of the work to be done and charges and it was provided to me quickly and efficiently. They completed the work quickly and they even went above and beyond to flush out our water heater and additional pipes of sediment. There was one day they were supposed to come and did not show up, but we called the office and they let us know they made a mistake in the schedule and would come the next day. It was inconvenient for us, but they owned up to it without excuses and sent a crew out the next day. Given how difficult service jobs are and that basically everyone they deal with is going through an emergency, we figured it makes sense that they had a mixup. I highly recommend this company and we will definitely use them again in the future!

My home warranty co sent them out. Their dispatch was very friendly & professional . A plumber named Buddy came out.
He was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem quickly. He called the warranty company & due to his honesty and expertise , was able to save me money. I recommend them. I will use them again in the future.

I had a warranty when I bought my house. Plumber came out to unclog a drain. In the end he said they would have to go through the roof. They don’t even send down a camera to see if it was something they couldn’t get out. Come to find out it’s not approved by the warranty. I felt like the plumber knew that and that’s why he recommend that.

I had a hot water replaced through my warranty company and Affordable was the contractor they used. Overall, it was a great experience. They sent someone out the next day to take a look and he quickly determined the tank needed replacing. They then sent out Hoss and Tim to do the install and they both were excellent. They were courteous, quick, and gave me options on how I wanted them to do the install. The pricing matched almost exactly with a bid I received from another company before I remembered I had a home warranty, so I know the pricing was reasonable. Honestly, this is a good company with unjust poor reviews. I can only imagine people expect the warranty company to cover all costs, and they don't. Unfortunately, Affordable Leak has to be the one to break the news and people blame them. Don't believe the low reviews and don't hesitate to use them if you need a water heater replaced.

Stay away far from this company. I have had them assigned to our home several times by our home warranty company. The woman on the phone is nice, that’s where the good ends.

The owners name is Buddy apparently and is extremely rude. We had several instances where they were assigned, and the work was never completed, even though my warranty company states they were paid.

Anything they didn’t want to do, they didn’t do. Then we had them out for a water heater problem, and they told us one thing, and told the warranty company something completely different. We know they lied to us b/c the warranty company showed us the form they filled out.

We spoke with another family in the neighborhood and they not only had the exact same problems but even worse.

They are a VERY DISHONEST COMPANY IMHO. I would not take a chance if I were you.

My homeowner warranty sent this company out to repair a pipe in my slab. After seeing the company they appointed and reading the reviews I was very concerned. It is super important to me to get a phone call before a technician comes out so I have an opportunity to put my dogs up. I also work full-time so I have to make sure I have someone available to be here. I received a phone call within 45 minutes of them being assigned to my repair to schedule for later that week. They came out assess the issues and reached back out to my warranty for approval. Upon receiving approval I received a phone call back from them within 24 hours to schedule a time for them to come out. Another company came out to actually locate the leak and mark it before the plumber came out. Upon the plumber coming out it turned out that the leak repair company did not mark the correct location for the leak. The plumber apologized profusely and got them back out and found the correct location of the leak. It was a timely process but it all got repaired and I am extremely satisfied with their service. They made sure they got it done and didn’t make excuses like some of the other companies that have been sent out from my homeowners warranty. I would recommend using affordable leak repair.

This company was sent out by my home warranty company when my hot water heater messed up- the thermometer couldn't read the temp, so I only got tepid water, at best. I called on January 6. They contacted me and set up an appointment (there was some inclement weather, so we understood that it wouldn't be immediate. The day of the appointment, they messaged me and said they had no techs, so they had to reschedule. When they finally came out on January 17th, identified the problem, and said they'd have to wait for approval. They got approval. Then they said that the part they needed was a "unicorn," and it took a week longer than they told me. I had to call them to set up the appointment when they finally got the part. The day had finally come! February 17. They got here at almost 6pm. The guy couldn't get the part off... so he yanked it... right off. And broke everything. Finally, I called the warranty company back and asked for a new plumber. They rarely answered when I called, didn't return messages, and were always running late. If you don't want to be a contractor for a home warranty company, then don't be!

Our home warranty service unfortunately scheduled this horrible company to replace our hot water heater.

Their organization and communication have been the worst out of any company I've ever experienced. They first scheduled an appointment without letting us know and then spoke to me like I was dumb for not knowing of the phantom appointment. I then had to suddenly take off work, even though I wasn't supposed to so I could be there for the appointment. Specified 11:00 to 4:00pm for the appointment. At 3:30, no word so I call them and they said oh yeah, they'll definitely be there closer to 4:00pm. Well, at 6:30pm, still no call or visit. We tried to call and they wouldn't answer our call.

The next morning, they called me and said, so apparently those guys didn't come out like they were supposed to! Yes, we are abundantly aware they didn't come out and created a huge inconvenience for my life and work. Why would we want to reschedule with this company like she suggested?! We took the matter in our own hands and contacted Wiggy's Plumbing which has and always has had a great reputation.

Unless you are obligated to use this joke of a company, please please look elsewhere for your sake and sanity. Don't just take my word for it, look at the numerous other awful reviews here on Google. Thanks for nothing Affordable Leak Protection!

They accepted the services request from our home warranty company to repair our garbage disposal. I was not home when they got here and not sure if they even looked at it. They were not at our home even 5 minutes according to my niece. According to what they reported to the home warranty, their was an object stuck in it, which they removed. However, the Unit still does not work. they have not returned my calls. The Home Warranty company reportedly reached out to them and was told that it was working after they removed the object. I am currently in contact with the Home Warranty company for the next step. Hopefully they will send someone else.

We were assigned this company through FAHW. We submitted 3 total plumbing issues at one time. John came on time (well within the allotted time slot), and came straight to work. He completed the 1st issue in about 10minutes, the 2nd issue he fixed in about 30minutes, and the 3rd issue he worked on it for about 20min, but had to order a part for the 3rd issue, so he (or someone at the company) will be returning when that part comes in. He was here a total of 1 hour, and he was fast, efficient, & personable. The lady that contacted me over the phone was also personable, and she texts me instead of calling me which is a bonus. I submitted my claim on FAHW & this company contacted me the next day & also came the next day to complete the work that was able to be fixed. Overall a great experience. I’ll update this review once the part comes in & they return to fix the 3rd issue.

I do not recommend ever using Affordable Leak Detection for any plumbing issue! They were assigned to my case from my warranty company for a water leak. When they were out here I was told 100% there was no water leak. They made a recommendation to have my sewer lines scoped with a camera to find a leak under my foundation and that they need to submit for approval with my warranty company to cover it. They said they would have their office submit it and they would be calling me to set up a follow up appointment. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing I finally followed up with my warranty company who then reached out to Affordable Leak. Affordable Leak told my warranty company that I'm crazy and that we have no issues and that I demanded that they run a camera. So they were here for all of 5 minuets, took my money and ran. I now get to have a second plumbing company come out.

Avoid this company if at all possible. We had no water for days and they were in no hurry to help fix the issue. Once it was fixed my husband noticed they charged us a few hundred dollars for things they did not do. Both my husband and I called daily, numerous times leaving messages when we could for weeks to discuss the situation with no return call and many times a full voicemail inbox. I refused to pay an additional $700 for work they did not do, so I stopped payment on my check. Of course they returned my call then, but not without a lot of back and forth and hassle. Here we are not even a year later and the cold water line busted and would have flooded my garage, but we caught it in time. Again, we called with no answer, full voicemail inbox... my husband finally received a call and they said they could swing by sometime to look at it. Sometime!?! This was an emergency due to the lack of excellence they neglected to provide. My husband had to leave work early, shut off the water from the street (there was no shut off valve on the tank which they should have installed), and repaired himself although the tank is still under warranty, but we couldn't wait for "sometime". Look at their "professional" work compared to my husband's excellence.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I would give ZERO stars if I could. The earliest appointment was 5 days after contact and had no water for a total of 9 days.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The owner, Buddy, sent an inexperienced technician to reroute a line through the attic.
A 4-6 hour job took 15 hours over 2 days! I felt so bad for the technician, as his technical ability was tested and the work performed was well below standard expectations. His line was short and he made 2 enormous cuts on the sheet rock and the bathroom cabinet. His tools quit working, he didn’t have the fittings he needed, and he made 2 trips to Lowes. Buddy checked on his technician once at the beginning of the job and left him alone for a job that required 2 people.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! When the technician left the first day, I kept the check that I wrote because the work was not completed and I was worried the job wouldn’t get done if I paid him. Buddy calls the next day demanding payment and he said I was a thief and threatened to put a lien on my home, etc. I told him I would pay him when the job was done as I wasn’t even sure the job was going to be completed. After paying him, he said that he doesn’t provide a warranty on the work performed.
Not 24 hours later, I have a new leak and will be contacting someone else to do the repair.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN OF DEALING WITH AN UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE OWNER. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
