Plumbing reviews in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
-
They came out to my house under my warranty program. I showed him my kitchen faucet. He said he will ask for a manufacturer's faucet because my warranty wouldn't pay for anything else. I was completely okay with that. They asked me twice if i would pay them directly. I told them no, I already paid my warranty program.
He went back to my warranty company and told them that I was missing parts. Now my warranty won't cover the work and he didn't tell the truth. I am NOT HAPPY with this company. I won't advise using their services to anyone. -
I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with this company as they are contracted through my home warranty program.
After scheduling an appointment to fix a water leak and waiting a week, they arrived 2 hours into my appointment window today - without a courtesy call letting me know they were inbound. I work from home and was in a meeting upstairs upon arrival.
When the technician arrived, he knocked at the door, and supposedly called me (which I never received, even though I have my phone on me.) Long story short, I ran downstairs as the technician drove off and immediately called the dispatcher in an effort to have him notify the tech.
The dispatcher told me there was no way to call the driver back (even though he was still on my street and I could see him) and that the company does not leave voice messages or provide a courteous call when their technicians are enroute.
I'm absolutely irate - do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. If their customer service is any indication of their work, you'll end up disappointed.
**Response to the owner:
The cameras don't lie, I re-watched them and there was no phone call made. However, what you do see is me on the phone with your dispatcher, while running outside and waving down the driver as he drove off.
In the future, try to provide a courtesy call like every other contractor on the planet - then folks who took the day off can know when to expect you.
Based on your other recent bad reviews though - it seems that you'll likely choose the lazy route and continue to make excuses for bad business practices. -
I will never use this company again, Had my Warranty company send out a Plumber to fix the stoppage in my Kitchen Sink. When this company arrived it was a Kid who could not of been more than 19 years old came in my home to clear the stoppage in the sink. Asked if I have a Vent, Told me it would cost another $298.00 to fix the trouble above the $75.00 service fee. I paid the service fee and sent them on their way. Now I get a notice from my Warranty company that I owe the Service fee again. If you want a crook to fix your plumbing this is it. Now I'm canceling my warranty as well. I'll save more than paying for services not preformed.
Do not contact me about this. I'm already fed up. -
Completely useless company, comes out without the parts they need after I told what was wrong and waited half the day for them to arrive. And this wasn’t just my uneducated opinion, I have a friend who is a plumber who was nice enough to look at the job and tell me exactly what was going to be required and what parts would be needed. I made sure to inform them of this multiple times. I also mentioned we could just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and purchase the parts since it’s was still within normal business hours and they said they don’t have the time to complete the job anyways. Basically I arranged a week in advance for them to come out keep me waiting half a day for them to just look at the problem having no intention of fixing anything. If I wanted them to do the job, I would most likely need to wait another week and take another at least half a day off work for them to show up. So unprepared, bad communication, lousy customer care, Would Not recommend.
Just for the record went with a national company with a nice little jingle known for their rooter service, they came out and had the problem fixed within a couple hours on the first call on the weekend no less! -
They did a great job getting to us. Very professional and helpful. Our issue with our pipes wasn’t major since we had a bad clog, but they were still very helpful and since our house doesn’t have a clean out drain in the back offered to quote us on how much it would be to install one in the future. We haven’t installed it yet, but the quote for it was reasonable and a lot less than I expected something like that to be.

My home warranty uses this company. They were notified that we had water leaking into our home. The guy came out and mis diagnosed the issue and claimed it was not under warranty. Water continued gushing in even after the rain (he blamed) stopped. My Father in Law discovered the issue was my hot water tank. Called the company back, informing them they misdiagnosed. Was told they couldn’t come out for another week even though I told them water was still gushing in. Scheduled anyway bc of warranty. Guy never showed up. Never received an estimated time of arrival or text telling me they were close. I called at 10am to see what time. The girl on the phone told me 10am. We waited and waited. No one ever showed up. Called them at 2pm. They lied. Said he showed up and no one was home and that he left a note and took a photo of our front door. That response was a major red flag. We were home and have cameras all over our home that send us alerts. The door bell even rings on our phones so there is no chance we missed him. Ended up complaining to our warranty company. Due to the incompetence of this plumber the water ended up attracting carpenter ants and we had to go through our insurance to repair the damage. They are also trying to get me to pay the fee for them coming out when they never did. Do NOT use this dishonest and incompetent company.

The rudest receptionists I have ever dealt with. The only reason I go through this company is because it's the only plumbing company my home warranty uses. First I was told I never had an appointment when I literally talked to the same person 2 days ago and then I was told the technician showed up and I wasn't home. I had called 2 hours prior to the technician supposedly showing up because I had to run an errand due to the death in my family telling them EXACTLY when I would be gone and back on their voicemail. Nobody returned my call nor answered the phone. Then they try to blame me for the situation. The technician never called when they were in my area. Caused me to miss a funeral of a loved one. She said "You should not schedule it on the day of a funeral," like I expected my grandpa to die. After rescheduling the appointment, she just hung up on me. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. I expect a call from the owner.

Our toilets are clogged and have been since Sunday. I called monday, and they came out Wednesday and said they'd send the ticket to our home warranty company for approval and be back out that afternoon to fix it. Didn't hear from them the rest of the day so I called the next afternoon and the receptionist said they would be at my house Saturday between 11am-4pm.
No one ever showed up.
I started calling, texting and emailing around 230pm bc I had a feeling they weren't coming. It's now 5pm and still no response. So we're going on a week with clogged toilets. After reading some of the other reviews this seems to be a pattern for them.
Edited to add after contacting my home warranty company and informing them of the no show, they let me know no work order had ever been submitted for approval. So why schedule an unauthorized appointment you had no intention of keeping? This is incredibly sketchy.... -
AVOID THIS COMPANY. I submitted a claim to my warranty company regarding a malfunctioning 50 gallon water heater. They sent these guys out who spent 5 minutes looking at the existing water heater, recommended a replacement, and want me to pay out-of-pocket for a new water heater. This company is a complete sham. I've requested the warranty company to send out an honest vendor who will actually take the time to correctly diagnose and fix the issue.
UPDATE: issue with my water heater was due to a temperature control inside the water heater tank. An honest company will share this info and make the adjustment instead of recommending a replacement. I understand you have to make money somehow but being dishonest is not the right way. -
Used them for a few home warranties and they did fine. So we decided to use them for a pipe replacement that wasn't covered. I don't recommend them for outside work. They will leave your yard a mess, not install the correct fittings, and won't call back if you have problems with their work. I've called several times and they never got back to me about any issues I've had. I requested that someone get a hold of me for several weeks.

Unfortunately our homeowner warranty used Affordable Leak to repair our water heater which had an issue with the gas control valve and as of now we've been without hot water for 10 days.
They first came out and said we had a bad gas valve and they would order a new one. A couple days ago they came out again to replace it and the technician noticed that it was a different brand of water heater and they brought the wrong valve so they left. I talked with the owner, Buddy who said it wasn't his fault but the manufacturer who gave them the wrong one which made no sense since they didn't realize what brand of water heater I had. He then told me that they would they would get the correct valve and replace it in 24-48 hours. It's been 2 days so I called the office and they said that even though they have the part they can't come until next week due to how busy they are.
If you are assigned Affordable Leak Detection by your home warranty company then I highly suggest you ask for another contractor. -
As many others have said, a) the company was hired by my warranty company and b) I'd give 0 stars if I could.
They came out four times to fix the drainage problem with the kitchen sink and the dishwasher. In all four visits, they were adamant that if the garbage disposal was draining properly, which it wasn't consistently if they would have listened to my complaint and still isn't, then the dishwasher problem was an appliance issue and not a plumbing issue.
As it turns out, the appliance guy took the dishwasher hose off of the garbage disposal and quickly discovered that the plug on the disposal hadn't been removed. During the four visits, only one of the three technicians from this company even attempted to take apart any of the plumbing underneath the sink. The other three were "the disposal drains fine right now. The problem must be fixed." Do not hire and if your warranty company hires them, do not accept.
The warranty company finally agreed to get another company to try and fix the problem they never did. *fingers crossed* -
Affordable Leak Detection has been to our house several times on behalf of our home warranty. We have met one plumber, Buddy, on multiple occasions and we are always pleased with his work. Once, he even showed me how to fix the problem myself and I wasn't even charged.
Recently, we had to have our hot water heater replaced. The new unit was larger in diameter than our existing unit and it required relocating our water softener system, which meant that I would have to place some equipment inside my garage instead of hiding in the closet where it had been. I am pleased to report that they worked hard to find a place that was the least offensive to the eye and retained the most of my floor space, by installing a hinged water line that allows my water softener to be moved in case of emergency. It was extra work for them but it definitely improved my satisfaction of the job overall. I would recommend them to my friends and family. -
Like many others, my home warranty sent Affordable Leak Detection to my home. I was experiencing stoppages throughout the house, and Buddy came out first and told me what I already knew, which was that I lacked an above-ground clean out and needed one installed. He said that he was unable to do any more work that day, collected the $75 for the service fee (not his fault), and left. Shortly after, I came up with some additional questions and tried on 3 separate occasions to reach him but could never get the main office to have Buddy give me a call. I waited just over a week to have the clean out installed, even though my house was not in working order (all drains were backing up and were not usable). Tim and another young man ended up installing the clean out for close to the same price as other companies in the area quoted me. They did good work, but were not able to tell me why the drains were backing up in the first place. Everything seems to be in working order. I'd rate my whole experience with Affordable Leak Detection as "average."

I was assigned this company through my home warranty and I’ll admit after reading the reviews I was very apprehensive. I was about to call and request a different company. But when I was initially contacted the lady was very friendly, professional and accommodating with my availability. She even offered me next day even though it was coming up on a holiday weekend. So I decided to give them a shot and I’m glad I did!
I was given the 8-1 service window and on day of service I called right at 8 to check status bc I had something to do really quickly and once again the lady was very friendly and let me they would call me prior to arrival. She was right, the tech did call me and even though I didn’t get to the phone in time he left a VM and immediately called my alternate number. He let me know he was in route and est arrival time, which he made within 15 min.
Once they arrived, Devin the tech, went through all possibilities that could be the cause of the leak I was having. He started with the most common and worked his way up to the more complex. Devin was able to fix my leak and make me a new access panel (since the builder never put on in) all within an hour.
Since my house is older, he even left me with some advise on how to prevent potential leaks I might face in the future.
I’m hoping I don’t need any plumbing services again but if I do I’ll definitely be requesting them.
So not quite sure about the negative reviews I read because I experienced the opposite. -
Absolutely not recommended. They were sent out by our warranty company and they did 2 things for us: #1 Just tried to leave a bill for a service call and wanted us to reschedule. #2 No wait... That's all they did.
They never left the entry way. Couldn't even be bothered to walk 10 ft to even attempt to look at the leak. They just said "Yep, it's a slab leak. It'll be $2100 to run new lines in the attic."
They were beyond unprofessional and extremely rude to my wife. Of course to add insult to injury, they were paid $170 (per our warranty company) for doing nothing! And I informed the warranty company of their actions.
Regardless of whether they were right or wrong, it was how my wife was treated that makes the difference. And their poor attempt at an apology below just further proves my point.
Fortunately, I had our regular plumber come out and make the repair for $700 and our warranty company reimbursed us.
Affordable Leak Detection is a no go, stay faaaaar away. -
My home needed a new water heater. I reported to my home warranty company on a Friday, they assigned Affordable Leak Detection to the job. They didn't diagnose the problem until Tuesday. No one answered their phone number on a Saturday. They then wouldn't explain the extra charges for the job when asked by email. When I did say I was ready, they weren't able to complete the job for another 6 days. All in all, their response time was 12 days. Completely unsatisfactory. I found a competitor that matched their price and did the work within 24 hours.

I was assigned Affordable Leak Detection through my warranty company. I canceled my appointment because they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
The girl who answered the phone continually interrupted me, insisted that the tech called when in fact he didn't, and then scheduled the appointment for the wrong day. Before hanging up, I told her I will be speaking to her manager. She then text me and said that she had already told her manager that I was rude.
I am willing to pay more out of pocket and not use my warranty company's contract with Affordable Leak because I can't trust a company who would employ such an unprofessional person. -
Our experience was excellent as well. Our home warranty company assigned them and from day one they were prompt, diagnosed the issue quickly; however they did not have the tools to fix the issue that day, but rescheduled for the first appointment the next day and returned on time to complete the work the next day. i will recommend them to friends who ask if i know a good plumber in the area.

I was forced to use this company through my home warranty, and I actually cannot believe how much of my time has been wasted here. Kim set me up with 3 appointments, 2 of which never occurred. 1 of those I was told was never scheduled until I told her that I had two texts from HER stating the date and time of the appointment. I was also told later that I never told them that I wanted my issues fixed even though I’d called three times stating that I wanted them fixed and an appointment to be set. In fact, I was told that I hadn’t expressed that I wanted the issues fixed on the date of one of the appointments when I was calling to see where they were.
I could write a whole dissertation on why no one should use this company, but suffice it to say that a less than 24 hour hot water heater fix turned into a 3 week hot water-less stretch of frustration, so I’d advise anyone considering them to keep that in mind. -
The home warranty, had this company come by they came three times and I still have the same problem, I call the home warranty and ask them not to send this company any more!! They don't not what they are doing. I just had a leak under my sink . And they couldn't repair ...
