They came out for a simple clean out. I had used them before for the same issue, less than a year ago, and they did great. For some reason this time, they worked from the roof. After not having any success, I opted for the camera to help identify where the problem was. $465 later, I was told there was a huge problem requiring a new line, approximately $3500 job. I called another company for 2nd opinion and they had the cleanout done in the same day, within 30 minutes, and for less than $200. I tried calling to explain my experience and nobody would answer the phone. I will NEVER use this company again.

Update:
The pipe was cut for more direct access to the problem area. It was his attempt to fix the problem before calling for help. Not a big deal.
The plywood was on the complete opposite side of the problem area, providing a path on which to walk. That was obvious.
Working from the roof was completely illogical and ineffective, even the 2nd plumber agreed. Working from the ground is what actually resolved the problem.
Bottom line is your plumber didn't want to get dirty, failed a simple clean out, charged for unnecessary equipment and misdiagnosed the problem. Then, he quoted $3500 for a single pipe replacement that, if I actually ever need it, is more than double the other company's price.
The fact that you'll respond on Google but wouldn't return my calls is interesting.

Same day service. Notified Austin was on his way. Showed him problem and he went to work. He did a great job cutting roots out of sewer line. Cleaned up his working area when done..... I use to do plumbing back in the day.. Very satisfied with Nowell & Sons... Highly recommend !

Had Nowell & Sons Plumbing perform a gas meter reset for me. I was impressed with the cost of the service and initial response from the company, so I decided to have them do a lot more work for me. Called for an estimate on multiple projects and tech arrived on time. Was told company wanted to do each and every project for me. Unfortunately, that is when things went south. It was the holiday season, so I waited patiently. After several weeks went by. I called about the estimates, and called, and called, and called. All I received were apologies and excuses, but no estimates. I finally gave up and went with another company. I realize the company is small and family owned, but you would expect some kind of response after several weeks waiting, instead of being ignored; very unprofessional.

They installed my hot water heater and did a good job. I thought it was awesome they came back to help with heater. I thought maybe it had not been re-lit. These guys are super friendly and I offered to pay for their time. Would refer them to anyone that needs help!

Austin arrived within promised timeframe. Sent a text when he was on the way. Once he showed up I explained the issue. He went directly to the stoppage and had it cleaned out and ready to go in 10 minutes. Communication, service and price are more than fair.

We’ve used Nowell and Sons 3 times in the past 5 years for various plumbing issues and I am always impressed! We have an old house and so far we haven’t had an issue that they couldn’t fix in an hour. They are honest and fair and I honestly can’t recommend them enough!

I needed a new flange put in the floor for the toilet. Talked to two other local plumbing companies. The quotes for the repair was astronomical and the techs talked about how complex and difficult the job was going to be. But to help me out, they both said they could start immediately. This company scheduled and arrived as promised. They glanced at the situation, stated it is an easy job and they were done in two hours. This included going to Locke to get parts. The final price was a fraction of the other quotes. They were so pleasant to have at my residence and were very competent. They deserve 10 stars, not just 5. There is a lesson here for all. There are plenty of incompetent plumbers out there charging crazy prices allowing them to make a living in spite of their marginal skills and knowledge. Get bids from other plumbers, but call this company to see if they can help you out.

Update: Taylor came out and did the second project perfectly. He saved us a lot of money which is so great in this economy. This company will always be the company that I use for anything going forward related to plumbing. They are simply amazing and Taylor deserves all the thanks!

You were able to come out the same day and gave me options. Aaron was very professional and had it done within the specified time. I will use them again if I need to.

I had a plumbing crisis during a family tragedy over the Christmas holiday. My technician Jerred was prompt, polite, and professional. I highly recommend Hull Plumbing.

I called Hull to fix an external water faucet leak in my old house, prior to an incoming winter storm. Zach Beleele, the technician went above and beyond. He arrived early, completed the job in a timely manner, left no mess, and was very polite and professional. I will be using Hull for my future plumbing needs!

My issue was a waterline leak in a basement crawl space. The Tech, Jared, was on time, answered all my questions fully, and explained exactly how he was going to fix the problem. He gave me a quote, and got the work done in a timely manner. Good experience all around!

Wanted to write a review on Hull's quick response in getting a technician to my house. I was thinking I had a decent plumbing issue - however, Cecil came to inspect and remedied my issue, which was very minor and I could have fixed myself. Cecil taught me what to do if that happened again. I'm very pleased with the response and service. Thanks Hull Plumbing and Cecil!

Jarred did a great job working with us to find our problem and get it repaired. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and we were completely satisfied with service!

I can’t say enough good things about Hull Plumbing. I had water pouring into my master bathroom and in my garage. I called them and were out within 30 minutes to help. Over the week they were out to help with all my plumbing needs. They were always communicating with me and were there when they said they would be.

I just had to change my water filter and as the whole thing dumped water all over the place it reminded me that I never followed up from being ignored by this company.

Regarding the filter, the technician and subsequent supervisor didn't catch that the bypass is between the wall and filter housing so the wrench doesn't fit. Add insult to injury because he set it so close to the shelf you can't get a container underneath to drain and catch the water before unscrewing the housing.

All this started in the beginning months of 2025, I had them come finish rough in plumbing in my shop/man cave. Miscommunications happen but enough were happening that it raised a red flag and I called another plumber out. The one I should have gone with in the first place.

We immediately found that the gas line wasn't installed properly and wouldn't hold pressure for the city test. This one was interesting because Hull told me they couldn't test without the stove. Not true, quite the opposite. It also means they never checked their work.

All this means that I am having half their work redone properly, had my brand new kitchen cabinets cut up to run a new gas line, and now I wonder what other issues are sealed in the walls.

Called months ago and was just ignored, no response, credit, etc....

1. The building didn't exist until the end of 2024, problem one with your narrative, Your work wasn't finished until the end of February 2025 when I took pictures before sealing the walls.

2. I was GC so it was the city inspector, myself, and the new plumber that discussed yalls work and came up with a new plan. The other plumber didn't speak poorly or degrade you, just facts. Yall never called for the proper inspection which was one of the red flags.

3. The shelves haven't been changed and you never offered to come even fix your work and I haven't had the other plumber fix it yet. Hence the reminder of the mess Im still cleaning up

4. 7/8/2025 is when I called asking for yall to fix the filter and credit me for having your work redone. God only knows what other charges or change orders you would have created.

Zach did amazing! When he showed up he was ready to help in our time of need being so close to the Thanksgiving. He understood the problem and was ready to help with the cheapest solution. After speaking with my wife she was ready to replace our water heater instead. He was very efficient. His willingness to get something done immediately and possibly cheaper (even though our water heater was 26 yrs old) is why we chose Hull plumbing and why we would do it again. Thank you for your help today.

Jake did a solid job of getting our problems fixed and explaining everything well as he went along. He had great suggestions and it was a pleasure to work with him.
