Constraction reviews in Tulsa, Oklahoma
-
Had a consult done with fair pricing and scheduled the install. Crew came out on time and was very professional. I have waited to post review because I wanted to see my electric bill. I get weekly estimates from OG&E and have watched my estimated bill drop so far this month by over $20 in 2 weeks! We have the SAME number of people doing the exact same things and leaving the same lights on as before! 🤦🏻♀️ I can’t wait to get my summer electric bill next year! It’s going to be so much better. Got the full 18” of insulation as promised!

Update: Affordable Insulation of Tulsa recently got a new automated system. There were kinks they are trying to work out.
He is super approachable and they really are a great company.
Chris came out and spent a lot of time going over the things that needed to be addressed. I appreciated all his efforts and hard work, however, their automated emails and text messages were HORRIBLE! Every single day I got a text asking me to call them. The one time I did call them to reschedule my appointment, they said they would take care of it but never did and the salesperson showed up on the original day, when I wasn't expecting them. It was a mess and way more aggravation than what was necessary. If I could just rate my salesperson, Chris, I'd give him a 5 star review. -
If you can't work with Chris, you can't work with anyone. He bent over backwards to make sure I got everything I requested. I know nothing about insulating a house and he helped me to understand the what’s and why’s of what he proposed. I had a number of requests that came up after I decided to go with Affordable and he was happy to fulfill each one. I had my old insulation removed and Chris worked with me so some additional work I needed done by other contractors could be completed before they blew in the new insulation. This was very much appreciated by the contractor and me. This made for a cleaner overall installation.
Their crew, Josh and Felipe, did a great job and were professional while doing their work. They kept us up on what was going on and when they would be finished with what they were working on. There was a curve ball thrown in some wiring for a fan they were replacing, but Chris came out and solved the issue. They went above and beyond on this so it would be done correctly and not just “made to work”.
I would definitely recommend them for your insulation needs. -
We recently had our crawlspace fully encapsulated. They did a great job for a reasonable price. They are very knowledgeable and use high quality materials.

Dan and the team at Attic Nerds did an outstanding job making our home more energy efficient. They were professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly from start to finish. The insulation work was clean, efficient, and immediately made a difference in our home’s comfort. Highly recommend Attic Nerds to anyone looking to save on energy bills and upgrade their attic the right way.

I want to share my very positive experience with Chris and his team. I hired Affordable Insulation to do a foam insulation project in my older home and it came out perfectly. We have already noticed a reduction in our heating bills and it is great to know that I can my valued belongings in my attic this summer without the temperature in the attic destroying them. Everyone that worked on our house was polite and hard working, and my wife and I truly appreciated them as they put forth maximum effort to get the work done on time. The cleaned up their work site very well when finished. I strongly recommend Chris Caughron and Affordable Insulation for your insulation needs.

Happy with the job they did on installing insulation in our attic. My son said it is much more comfortable now. The installers were quick on the job. Would recommend them again.

Great experience with this company! Chris worked with me on pricing. McCoy and Andrew did a fantastic job on the attic. They worked quick and efficiently.

Dan Knapp performed an assessment of our home based on the concerns we raised about comfort in winter and summer and utility costs. Our home (built in '78) had the original insulation or what was left of it and had some changes made over the years. The proposal seemed more involved than we expected but the weaknesses in our existing situation would not see much improvement with just a band aid approach. Scott and John worked in at least 7 different sections of attic, each with their own issues over a period of 3 days. They are courteous professionals who worked diligently through challenges, answered questions and addressed my concerns. When a piece of equipment was not performing up to par they quickly shifted gears and worked even harder to ensure the project wasn't delayed. They cleaned up each day as they progressed through the clean out, weather seal, spray foam and blown-in cellulose stages of work. We already see and feel an improvement in the upstairs vs. downstairs temperatures and with the cooler (near freezing) temps earlier in the week only had to use gas logs for a little while in the mornings to take the chill off, staying comfortable the rest of the day. The bonus room that is now my office (one of those projects) is much more comfortable now which is especially appreciated since I am teleworking more than ever. My wife and I are looking forward to years of comfort and lower utility bills thanks to the efforts of Affordable Insulation.

Attic Nurds worked with us to develop a plan which met our exact needs and our budget. They did an excellent job of insulating our entire attic area, and when a roofing repairman walked through our insulation and created a mess, Attic Nurds came back out and made the area as good as new again. We have been extremely pleased with their service.

Saw Chandler, the sales rep, at a home show in January and asked him to come out to give me an estimate on redoing the insulation in my attic. Within a week or so, contact was made and Chandler came out to take a look at my attic situation. He took pictures and video of what he found, we made a plan and he got me on the schedule. I felt "heard" as to what I wanted to accomplish, which is to make my home a vault against the elements, and prolong the lifespan of my HVAC system, while increasing its efficiency and lowering my utility costs. We chose to do this by upgrading my insulation, encapsulating the HVAC ductwork, moving the bathroom vent exhausts off the backside of the drywall to mid-air near the gables, and sealing up the gaps allowing unwanted outside airflow into the attic space. The cost was reasonable, and I asked to be put on the "call list" to work me in earlier if they had a last minute cancelation, as my installation date was initially about 5 weeks out. Within a week or so I received a call offering me an open spot several weeks earlier!
The morning of the installation, I received great communication from McCoy as to their arrival time, both text and phone calls. The actual job took approximately 5 hours. When the guys were finished, they cleaned up great, and took photos of what my attic NOW looks like! They went above and beyond what I expected (there was a can light that wasn't properly installed in the past; McCoy brought it up to code!).
The difference in my home is very noticeable - it holds the heat (still wintertime) SO much better, so I know this summer it will keep the heat OUT just as well! A great company to work with from start to finish, I highly recommend them! -
I had the pleasure of having Chris come out to audit my home for energy efficiency options. Chris was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about his craft. Chris crawled all around my attic and my crawl space, using state-of-the-art tools to determine what was and was not a problem for my energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Additionally, Chris performed a blower door test and thermal imaging sweep of my home. I look forward to contracting them to fix these issues in the future, and will update my review accordingly when the time comes. I highly recommend Attic Nerds!

We called Attic Nerds to address our attic insulation and venting needs. We recently had our house repiped and now have the waterlines in the attic as well as having a complete roof and deck replacement.
Chris came out to our home and did a thorough evaluation. During his inspection, he found 3 different types of insulation material in the attic, water pipes not properly insulated, evidence of rodents, and no soffit vents in place. He documented his inspection with pictures that he showed us later. He then gave us several options on what we could do to best serve our needs and budget.
We decided to completely remove all the insulation and apply a uniform R60 value application. Because of the new roof there was a lot of debris mixed in with the insulation. In fact, the installer made the statement that ‘It looks like a woodchipper was in your attic”. We are glad that Chris recommended removing all the old insulation. We also tented all the water lines to better insulate them from winter bursting. After the total removal of the insulation, tenting of waterlines, and sealing all areas of air leakage, the installer asked me to come up to the attic to examine their work and explain what they had done.
We also decided to insulate the area over the garage. The only problem we had was not removing everything from that area. The fine dust from the insulation covered all the boxes and items we left in the area over the garage. While they tried to keep it to a minimum and cleaned up after, it would have been best if the attic space was empty.
Throughout the entire process Attic Nerds kept me informed of the progress and addressed any problems that arose. We are very pleased with the quality and communication with Attic Nerds and are looking forward to a more comfortable house and lower utility bills. -
I had Affordable Insulation out last July to see about adding insulation. Chris sold me on removing all existing insulation, sealing joints & putting covers over light fixtures, then adding R60 level of insulation. He said we could expect an energy savings of about 40%. BIG investment, but we scheduled the service. McCoy and his helper spent 2 days in July working in the heat. Hopefully, you're taking care of them cause that's some tough work. McCoy also ran exhaust lines from our 2 bathroom exhaust fans to the outside. They also did a good job cleaning up as they worked. After completion, I got emails asking to leave a review, but I said I needed to see what my savings over several months would be. 6 months later, our utility usage has averaged 35% less than 1 year ago and 20% less than 2 years ago. This is actual gas & electric usage, not dollars. I haven't researched the weather temps to compare the last 2 years with the last 6 months.
In MY opinion some salesmen have a reputation for stretching the facts, and even though we haven't seen a 40% savings, I gotta say at this point Chris is close enough I'll recommend Affordable Insulation to anyone considering insulation.

We have been struggling for months to resolve an issue with moisture affecting our wood floors, and have had no luck determining the source. Leak detection companies, roofers, heat & air, the city, and countless wood floor companies...the list goes on...quite literally a revolving door of 'experts' with NO answers. My furniture has been stored since March and my house has been in various stages of demolition since. It's been awful and exhausting. My insurance company has been of almost no help. Finally, a friend referred me to Roger at PCC and I feel like I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. With Roger's help, we have eliminated several things and have it narrowed down to just a few. Once we finally discover the source, PCC can help me navigate the repair process so that we do not have to find and coordinate all the services we will need to get my house put back together. We are hopeful that with PCC's expertise, our house will be restored very soon and we can finally put this mess behind us! Thank you Roger for your quick response, total professionalism, vast knowledge of water related issues, and genuine desire to help your customers find solutions! We appreciate everything. For once, we feel like this mess will be taken care of properly!

The team at PCC did a wonderful job getting our house back together after a pretty big water leak. They did wood floors, sheetrock, plumbing, painting and cleaning. Just everything we needed to get back to normal. Leon, Scott and Brandon were courteous and professional taking care of it all. They were quick to help when we were walking in water. We would definitely recommend PCC!
