We called once our AC went out and immediately got into contact. They were able to come out first thing the next morning and isolate and fix the issue. Best experience with an HVAC company I have ever had.

TL;DR: super knowledgeable and affordable

I’ve now used Specific several times (initial recommendation came from a mechanical engineer who specializes in large-building HVAC). First, he got the 17+ year old unit that came with this house up and running. Then, he spent a LONG time trying to figure out why it wasn’t cooling optimally. He found that the previous HVAC company installed some duct splitters backwards so we’d never get flow. Then, he found that the air intake was too far from the unit so it was returning hot air. But, by then the hot season was basically over.
The next year the unit failed again. He got it up and running quickly and cheaply but again went looking inside to ensure things checked out. That’s when he found probably the main reason things always sucked upstairs—there was a hidden, large hole in the intake plenum (whatever the terminology is…) pulling in air straight from the attic into the house.
That’s when we got a quote for a new unit and all duct work to be fixed.
He’s fixed my other units. He helped give me advice on installing a mini split and even gave me thread seal to use for free. He’s done warranty work on the new unit. All while charging a fraction of the big guys.
Speaking of which— this house has two units installed by a company that rhymes with StairCo. Their warranty work (less than 1 hour of labor. Replaced two parts) cost $1k just for the labor. I’m pretty sure they were also the company that added vents to an attic conversion from the previous home owner PAST the last air intake I already mentioned that returned hot air. They put an in-line duct fan because they knew it was too far away, but they never even hooked it to power! AND, when they put in the new ductwork for the new ACs, they left the old ducts. It took me days to clean out the debris when I insulated my attic.

Great service. They came out quickly and did a thorough job of checking everything. They were conscientious of money and were able to clean some parts instead of just replacing. I’m impressed and will definitely be calling them for service in the future!

We had a manufacturing issue with one of our mini splits. “Refrigerate leak”. I video recorded and sent the video to Jacob well past mid night.

Jacob responded first thing in the morning and sent out a technician immediately.

Robert the technician arrived and went straight to work. He worked through out the day to get me and my family squared away. Robert worked as long as he needed to, to get the job completed! He showed true dedication to his profession. Replacing a mini split unit and troubleshooting our entire system to ensure it was working better than before.

Specific Air is my families go to!

Our condo’s unit heater wasn’t working, so we contacted AHS to diagnose and fix the issue. Unfortunately, they kept sending incompetent technicians who were more interested in selling me a full HVAC replacement than finding the real problem. We even tried a few reputable local companies in Tulsa, but no one actually fixed it.

I’m glad we found Jacob through a reference — he diagnosed the issue, fixed it in 45 minutes, and even added a few additional valuable items that were missing. He’s extremely smart with a natural engineering mindset.

I highly recommend him if you want the real problem fixed quickly and at the best price.

Honestly, this team went over and above for us. The ac went out during the hottest days of the year and we had to have our whole heating and air system replaced. Taking it from under the house to the attic. Seth and his team were so fast, professional, and kept everything clean.
