Reviews of local pros in Tulsa, Oklahoma

I would like to start this review out, saying that I have been a loyal customer of A-Best for many years on their maintenance program. They were very good about coming out and doing the yearly maintenance on my units. When they told me something needed repaired for the most part, I allowed them to repair it. There was a couple of times that I would do the repairs if it was something I knew how to do to save my money. About three weeks ago I noticed that we were having some duct issues. And I contacted A-Best to come out and give me an estimate on a complete replacement. When they came out, they told me they didn’t think that I needed a full replacement, but some simple repair works. I told him let’s get it scheduled and get it repaired. After a week of no response from them, I contacted the office and received a callback from Ryan. Ryan informed me that the guys that would fit under my house where my duct work is were both out injured. Ryan then gave me the name of one of his competitors and told me if this guy would be able to get me taken care of. I contacted this competitor. With no response after several days of trying. I’ve been contacted A-Best again trying to get a hold of the owner to find out what we could do to resolve this issue. I was told I would get a call back that day that did not happen a few days later after being patient waiting on an owner call. I called the office again. Ryan picked up the phone after the phone call was transferred to him from the front desk and told me he would give me a call back the next day. The next day was a Saturday so win I didn’t get a call I wasn’t so concerned. Then Monday comes around and I wait all day and no call. Tuesday morning early morning I sent him a text message letting him know of my dissatisfaction of no return phone call. As of 12:30 on that Tuesday when I did not receive a phone call back, I called and canceled my subscription to their maintenance program. I have left a very detailed email to the owner with all of this and I would like to see their response to these major issues with their company.

From a customer standpoint, i can say, I’ve been a customer for over a decade! Always very happy with my service. And from a business standpoint, i make it a point to ONLY do social media for the best-of-the-best businesses in Tulsa, which is why I’ve proudly been working with A Best Air & Heat for much of that decade. Tammy and Kenny are amazing, and their techs are second to none. I appreciate you guys!

James and the Owner came out today and did a tune up on our unit, our landlord has been using this company for quite awhile and they always do a good job. Our doorbell had been disconnected several months ago when a different company installed our new unit, so I asked if they could hook it back up, they did and it works great! thanks a lot guys!

I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the quick response time I got when my heater went out during the extreme cold. I had another company out 3 times before to diagnose the issue which would come and go. But they were unable to do so. Anthony Joshua came out and knew within minutes the issue, was able to show me, and then replace the needed parts. He made sure it was in good working order before leaving. I’d call them first from now on.

I signed up for the annual membership that includes free check ups on my heat and air units. Best decision I’ve made. Technician Robby Bedford was timely, knowledgeable and found several issues other companies had missed. More than one issue that has plagued me for the past year was just solved from this visit with Robby.

This is the best company we have ever used. I called on Sunday afternoon, and we was scheduled Monday morning to get our air conditioner fixed. Kyle B. and his coworker performed excellent team work. They went right to the problem and fixed it extremely fast. This is the coldest our a/c has ever been, and it's not very old. Both men were very personable and professional. A Best Air and Heat has a new customer as we were ultimately pleased with everything. Without hesitation, I give this company a 10/10 rating.

My goodness what an excellent experience with this company! My husband and I just moved here from California. We moved into our new home and called upon A Best Air & Heat to come out and inspect our home’s HVAC system to see if we needed any repairs. We had an idea of what to expect from our home inspection report. They came out expeditiously and provided us several different options along with pricing. Answered all of our questions. We decided to replace the whole system and were blown away with the quick and quality service they provided!!! Friendly technicians. My husband and I are completely satisfied and very happy with the results!

They were absolute life savers! My furnace went out and after fighting with home warranty and getting 6 quotes and half a dozen different diagnosis from others we decided to go with A Best and from first contact they genuinely acted like they cared what was going on, listened to our gripes and concerns. I can't recommend them enough or thank them enough for giving us comfortable house again!

Robert and Chance came out same day. These two guys have wonderful customer service skills. They took care of my family and got us going. This company knows their stuff! If you are looking for a company, this is the company to have. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

James and Anthony braved the ice/snow today to come to the rescue. They were very efficient, professional, and friendly. My heater is fixed and it didn't break the bank which was very appreciated! I was so impressed I signed up for a service plan also. Give them a call, you'll be glad you did!

Homeowners beware.
Before buying our home, the upstairs HVAC unit was flagged by our inspector as needing service or possible replacement. As part of our purchase agreement, the seller hired A Best Heat and Air to perform that service. Their invoice stated the system was functioning properly after they finished.
Within days of moving in, the unit failed to cool properly. We hired another licensed HVAC company, who immediately found a major refrigerant leak—a problem that clearly existed when A Best serviced the unit. Because it wasn’t properly diagnosed or repaired, we had no choice but to pay thousands of dollars to replace the entire upstairs system.
We’ve reached out to A Best Heat and Air repeatedly—by phone, by email, even through a BBB complaint—and they have never responded. No explanation, no offer to make things right, nothing.
This lack of accountability and professionalism has cost us significantly. If you’re looking for a company that stands behind their work and communicates with their customers, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
UPDATE 7/25/25 in response to the owner’s reply:
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I understand you were hired by the seller, not by me directly. However, your company’s work directly affected me as the buyer, because your June 6th presale tune‑up and invoice stated the upstairs unit was functioning properly.
Within days of moving in, we discovered the upstairs unit was not cooling. A licensed HVAC contractor immediately found a significant refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil—a problem that would have existed at the time of your inspection. Because your report indicated everything was fine, the seller did not replace the system prior to closing, leaving us with a bill of thousands of dollars for a full replacement.
My realtor even contacted your technician after the leak was discovered. He provided a gauge photo for the downstairs unit only and, despite repeated requests, never provided a gauge photo for the upstairs unit. After that, there was no further response from your company to me or to the BBB complaint I filed.
What is especially frustrating is that I made multiple good‑faith attempts to contact your company directly—through emails, phone calls, and even through my realtor—and received no acknowledgment at all. Yet as soon as I left a public review, there was suddenly a response. If your company truly stands by its work and values its reputation for honest service, a simple courtesy reply to any one of my earlier messages would have gone a long way.
I respect that you value your long‑term clients, but the documentation you provided directly influenced the sale of this home and left us with a major expense. I stand by my review and hope this feedback encourages more thorough presale inspections—and far better communication—so no other buyer ends up in this situation. -
Had a nice 9,000 BTU Heat Pump installed by A Best Air to take care of our laundry room 1/2 bath area. I had no place to put the outside compressor that would not be in the way of our sidewalk. They helped me out with a wall mount as shown. Unit is working very well, cooling and heating as needed...

Anytime the a/c goes out, things can get moody. These guys came, determined, repaired and replaced all in a 24 hour period. All while being upfront and informative. I did not pay the bill, however, I witnessed the good business/good faith and now can reap the benefits of a cooled off day..
Thank you for your hard work. -
UPDATE as of 8/19/2020-
A Best sent a refund of the price we paid for the cleaning.
BE AWARE! The company does not follow through with their commitments. I've included the original complaint below which was filed with the BBB. The company responded a year later saying they would refund our cost yet hasn't followed through with that either.
We hired A Best Air & Heat to clean our air ducts. They have been done twice now and still not completed properly.
We had A Best Air & Heat come out in the Spring of 2018 to clean our air ducts. The lady cleaned quickly each duct from inside. We had the company out in January and the technician explained that there was no way the ducts were cleaned properly and he called the office to reschedule. The company called and scheduled them to come clean again on 1/21. The dust had been building up constantly in our home since then and our allergies have gotten worse. When the technicians came in on the 21st, they said they were going to be cleaning from the attic and pulling everything in that way. They assured me that there wouldn't be an issue with dust or anything and they would cover anything that needed to be covered. They didn't cover anything and as I was in the office where one of the returns is, they dumped about 3 cups of dust and dirt all over the dogs kennel. I ran up into the attic and told them and they assured me this wasn't happening anywhere else and said they would clean it up. My mom stayed at our house from 1/26-2/3 and almost immediately was sick from all the dust and dirt. She called out a company to check the ducts and their professional assessment was the ducts have never been cleaned properly. They took pictures and gave those to my mom as well as asked her to put cheap filters in the returns and see how much dust and dirt came out for 2 days. My mom spoke with Tammie at A Best Air & Heat to let her know what was going on. Tammie wanted to know the results of the test right away. Since the test has been done, I have called A Best and so has my mom, multiple times to discuss and no one has received a return call. The first time I called to discuss this was on Friday, 2/8 and have called them on 2/11 and 2/16 as well. Each time I've called I've been told that she would call me back when she was back in the office. My mom has called several times and hasn't received a call back either. My youngest son and myself have terrible allergies which is why we paid to have the ducts cleaned in the first place. This is becoming a serious health concern. -
We received a call from A-Best Air saying we were due a service on our AC unit. We scheduled the service and also expressed concern about one of the units. The tech came out, he was polite. He was here 20 minutes. We weren’t told what he did but we were charged for a year’s service plan that we didn’t agree to. I called the office to discuss the payment and was told it was a year fee we pay for service. We have used A-Best for an issue with our units and had a great experience. We’ve never used them for service only and this experience felt like we were forced under false pretenses because the service plan was never explained to us. The communication could have been handled better. In the future, we will use a different company.

I am really impressed with A Best. I had my condenser, compressor, and furnace replaced. The cost of the complete replacement was very fair and competitive. The technicians are knowledgeable and courteous. Rob and George had the entire job completed within four hours. They not only left the job site free of any trash but actually left it cleaner than it was when they arrived. Quality of work was outstanding. Customer service is great too.

I spoke with Jarred about getting a new Diakin Heating and Air system installed. I had several questions about 2 different units I was considering. He was very patient, answered my questions, and was very informative. He also came out to the house to make sure that everything was as it should be for the unit we had decided on which was a 14 Seer. Since he installs a lot of Diakin, he was able to give me a better price than my other quotes. John and Lewis came out to do the installation, were very thorough, and did a wonderful job. They also changed out my 14" return ducting in the attic to 16" ducting because Jarred wanted to make sure the new unit would work at its best. John even came back the next day to adjust the flame on the gas furnace because he wasn't satisfied with the way it was and didn't have his gauge with him the day before. We were very impressed with Jarred, John, and Lewis. We would highly recommend A Best Air and Heat to anyone needing a new unit. They are great!

The tech came out stating we needed a new contactor even though we had power going to the unit but the fan was not running. I stated should you not check the power coming from the fan to the power supply to ensure the fan has just not went out since the unit is powering on the tech said in his educational experience its a bad contactor and it will be around 300.00 plus parts and diagnostic fee. I said ok since I am recovering from surgery on my back even though he never checked the fan power and I truly new better . He comes out next day puts in the new contactor then tells me well it looks like there is no power coming from your fan because it is not coming on at this point after I installed the new contactor. I said did I not tell you to check that before just guessing he said I did what I thought the issue was . I am like ok how much is it for a new fan to be installed He told me around 750.00 for a new fan to be installed but I really think you are going to need a new unit at this point. I took a deep breath and said ok so at this point how much do I owe you He said 300.00 for the new contactor that I installed. I knew the fan was not a big deal to install its a hole 5 wires my 15 year old son can do that so I paid him the 300.00 plus 800.00 for the diagnostic fee a total of 380.00 and he left. Here were I am really upset after he leaves I go to put the door on because it was supposed to rain that evening and the new contactor that he installed keeps popping off every time I try to put the door on the unit is power off. Come to find out he installed a bad contactor and there is no way he didn't know because if you barely moves the low voltage wire the contactor would power off turning the unit off. I am very upset because he did that on purpose I truly believe and just took my $380.00 and left. I got a new contactor that cost me another $45.00 and fan cost $175.00 and installed then myself through alot of pain later in my back the unit is running just fine. I have everything on camera and voice recorded the entire conversation between us . I could not make this up if I tried. Going to small claims court on this one for sure. I would be very careful if you choose to use this company they will take your money not fix the unit then tell you that you need a new unit all together like they did me.

I blame myself for the problems with A Best, who serviced my AC. During work on another issue, my landlord mentioned that my house's crawlspace was extraordinarily cool and asked me to check the house AC vents to see if the air was flowing okay. Turns out several were not, and my landlord said I could proceed to have it fixed. I called A Best because they had serviced the unit before. Two workers came to my house. One went into the crawlspace and says he saw no major issues with the ductwork under the house. They opened the hood to the unit and discovered it was very dirty and congested with dirt, dog hair and other outside particles. They cleaned the unit and either fixed or replaced two parts called run capacitors. The bill says they were repaired at a cost of $301.50. There also was a $335 charge. A Best was at my house for about an hour. And the vents that didn't flow well are still not flowing well.
My landlord hit the roof when he saw the receipt. He priced the parts at other places at less than $100. When I called A Best they told me that the receipt says repaired but that they actually were replaced. When I asked about the high cost of the parts, I was told that also included labor for each part. I then asked why there was a separate $335 labor charge, which brought the entire bill for work to $938. She said she would look into it and call me back. That was on Sept. 16. Today is Oct. 5. I blame myself for not getting estimates beforehand. I naively wanted to show A Best some loyalty. Lesson learned. An expensive lesson. -
True Blue Heating and Cooling here in Tulsa did a fantastic job installing our new air conditioner and furnace. Not only did they accomplish the job-- with the lowest, most complete and detailed bid--they completed the work ahead of schedule. Their Tulsa team accurately diagnosed the issue and explained the options available to solve the problem. Austin Heilman was always as good as his word: keeping appointments, being accessible, and working with us to give us the best deal. The installers, Charlie Mills and Dalton Nash did incredible work, finessing the system until they got it just right. They were extremely professional in their work and understanding of their craft. They worked in a cramped, overheated attic for days, yet remained pleasant, friendly, and respectful. Their work ethic is awesome. They were always careful to clean up the house at the end of the day and made sure that we were completely happy with their work before they finished the project. We highly recommend them and will use them in the future. Good work!

I have had True Blue service my HVAC twice a year st three different houses I have owned in the area. They are always professional and knowledgeable and responsive to all my questions. Today was Senite’s first service call to my property and he was top notch, just like all of their other employees.
