Gerry McElyea and his partner are true professionals. They accomplished clearing my drain blockage and provided me with a plan to better insure no subsequent blockage. Gerry’s partner was especially helpful in my understanding of how the blockages occurred and how I can best avoid contributing to the issues that caused this type of blockage.
Tito Martinez and his partner followed the next day to insure my secondary drain line was cleared of all residual debris. Tito and his partner were also friendly professionals who made sure I understood the process.
Champion has at least two teams of consummate professionals. -
Our mistake with falling for and wanting to support the “family owned” business. We called for leak detection services and were told they had a cancellation and could see us same day with their $89 fee waved (we cancelled an appointment for three days later with a reputable company). Brian, who is quite nice and polite, shows up and spends 10 minutes testing our water quality and calling his boss to talk to us about buying a filtration system before he even looks at our leak. He then proceeds to take pictures of the affected area and send them to someone else. After they consult, he tells us we need their leak detection service which will cost $400 before repairs even begin (the company we cancelled with charges $99). Actually, the first quote they provided was for purchasing a filtration system, plus the $400 leak detection, plus an unknown cost for repairs after determining what the real problem is. While he clearly had some plumbing knowledge, he was clearly not a trained plumber. He was a salesperson whose role it was to sell filtrations systems first and high-priced leak detection second. They may be great at filtration systems, but buyer beware when it comes to leak detection. We are not going to use their services and, to be honest, we will not consider them for water softeners or filtration either. The way they treated us today felt very dishonest and like a scam.

I was very impressed with the professionalism that was demonstrated. Woodrow was very patient with all my questions and knowledgeable about their products and the work that needed to be done. He was able to fix our water problem and then advised us on how they can help solve another issue. I liked his "can do" attitude. I highly recommend Champion Plumbing.

I had a great experience with Champion Plumbing! The technicians, Robert and Danny, showed up on time, clean and neatly dressed, and both were very knowledgeable and professional. They really took the stress out of the stressful situation that plumbing issues bring. Thank you both for your great attitudes and friendliness! I was very happy with the great job!

Extremely satisfied with our tech Jeff, very professional. This company was not only on time but did not try to upsale add expense. Highly recommend.
The Keslers -
Great company! Woodrow did a terrific job, he explained everything really well and worked quickly. He also did a walk thru to check everything else since I mentioned were about to sell the house and provided us with some prices for things we might need to fix. Also loved the texts the company sent letting me know about his arrival time. 100% recommend.

again in the future. -
Really glad I called Champion Plumbing! Emmitt is a great technician and very knowledgeable. Pleasant personality,
too. Thank you for the great job! -
I would like to thank all of the guys that came out and worked quickly and tirelessly in the cold and rain to fix my sewer lines and re-pipe most of my house! All of the guys that came out were extremely courteous, kind and explained everything that was going on every step of the way. These guys had a big job and they left the yard and my house in wonderful condition. They were very respectful to myself and my home. I really could not have asked for a better crew and I will call them for any work my house may need in the future and I will recommend them to friends and family! Thank you so much Wes, Blaine, Jody, Wayland, Trent, Alec and David for all of your hard work to get me up and running again!! I appreciate every last one of you!

My water stopped getting hot I called in the morning and they were able to get me on the schedule the same day. I got a text saying they were on the way, found the problem, gave me an estimate and fixed the problem. We also had a lot of sediment and he explained how to flush it out. Thank you so much!

Gerry McElyea is the best plumber I’ve had out. He was very friendly and got to work quickly to diagnose my plumbing issue, got me an estimate and once approved, got the work done quickly and he even cleaned up the mess.

I highly recommend Champion Plumbing! They were fast and knowledgeable. My hot water heater went out and by the end of the day I had a brand new system. I also want to thank technician Bryant Reeves. We had no idea we still had a warranty and he went above and beyond and checked in on it for us. Saved me a lot of money!

William was beyond great. He came to fix a warranty faucet and noticed the other that was installed needed to be replaced. He rechecked our pressure since they also installed that. He checked a few other items that we are going to have to fix and he found them before any major issues started. If all were as attentive, knowledge, caring and as curtious as him it would be great.

Chase was very professional and informative. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. Although I didn’t get my problem fixed, (frozen pipes), I appreciate knowing what the problem is and knowing the next steps to fix/prevent it.

Mike was great! He was professional, took the time to walk me through the issues and associated costs, and did a thorough job of fixing the plumbing issue. He was also patient while speaking with my home warranty company to settle the bill. I appreciate that they offer flat-rates for fixing issues so there are no surprises. I also appreciated that they were able to come the same day that I called.

Let me begin by saying that the technicians are mostly professional and polite. I do believe that they do their best to diagnose the problem based on their level of knowledge. It was why we signed up for their annual plan. However, we have had a litany of issues and it is only fair to air those out here, where the review section grants that.
1. In the years we have been with Champion, each time a new technician arrives, they state the one we used formerly is no longer with the company. So issues that were misdiagnosed or unresolved by the previous technician, can't be verified because they are no longer with Champion.
2. We have had 2 major misdiagnosis - 1 with a water softener that was installed and not meant for well water - which cost $5,500 and later virtually destroyed our faucets in the house. I will say that Champion did come back out and replaced it (as they should have) and we are happy with the one we bought in it's place. But again, due to that misdiagnosis, we had to replace a multitude of faucets and dishes. The 2nd misdiagnosis was this year with a water pressure issue. The technician wrote the issue off with no real action taken and as a result, the pressure issue we asked them to fix, created a separate issue with our hot water tank needing to be replaced. They also stated we needed to replace a water pressure tank that later, another company advised against. The solution that Champion promoted was a $3,100 fix compared a 30 year plumber working for their closest competitor, who stated it would actually cost a 1/3 of that to resolve the issue.
3. It was also discovered that the water tank that they installed 2 years ago did have its own issues. For instance, they failed to install a drainage tube from the pan to the drainage hole in the floor. So when the tank did experience the issues from the pressure, it flooded the concrete. The other company also mentioned that several fittings were not correct, etc. I am not a plumber and to be fair, Champion insists that it was done right but there is not much to gain by the other company saying otherwise.
4. We did have several issues with either late or missed appointments. I believe it was 2-3, but when you are taking off a 1/2 day of work, it does cost a vacation day or missed income if they fail to show or later than expected.
Leslie, the owner, did contact me so I could go through the issues with her, which I give her credit for doing so. It made the difference between a 1 star and a 2 star. The personalities are fine and in the larger scheme of things, they are not a bad company, but they do have several misinformed technicians. Perhaps it's training, or experience. Not my wheelhouse.
But if you have limited income, like most of us in these economic times, you need the proper diagnosis, dependable service and a resolution that is accurate. The issues we had cost additional money, personal time, and quite a bit of frustration. I am positive this experience is NOT shared widespread with other Champion customers. I am sure there are very satisfied Champion customers, I can only explain our own personal experience as a consumer. I do hope that they correct the issues that cost them my business. They are a family business and deserve a shot. -
I set an appointment on Monday for today (Thursday), for a tech to come out between 1-6pm. I took the afternoon off work to be home. I get a voicemail at 3:15 saying my appointment was moved to tomorrow between 1-6 because no tech was available due to work needing to be done at other jobs. I call and talk to Andrea, who was nice, about the problem, and she had no real answers except techs werent available because of needs at other jobs. This is a bummer. What's the point of an appointment?

Tito was friendly and knowledgeable, he got the drain unclogged quickly, then conducted a thorough inspection. He showed me what had happened and gave me advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future. Great service, I'll definitely call them again!

Both Dakota Harrington and Brian Morrell showed up to do my kitchen sink. They were both the most pleasant and professional guys. Quick and efficient
I would highly recommend them. Great experience -
Champion was quick to get me scheduled and my repair completed next day. Gerry McElyea was the technician who came out and did a phenomenal job explaining the problem, giving me multiple options, and completing the job quickly. Will use Champion and request Gerry next time I need plumbing services.

The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and found the issue fast. The price to replace 4 cartridge in 2 faucets was quoted at $900 plus dollars. I ended up fixing it myself for $80 for parts. If it was a reasonable price I would have accepted and had them do it. But I felt that was very unreasonable to charge that much for it and it took 30 mins to fix. Less if I was a plumper I would guess. Full process was professional and technician was awesome so giving 2 stars but 5 stars for his professionalism and interaction.
