We had someone leave us a biological gift overnight at the front door of my office. These guys were great to work with and had a crew onsite asap. I hope to not go through the same experience again, but if it happens I will immediately call these guys again.

Angela Kirton is a delight to work with. She is responsive, compassionate, responsible and a true expert in her field of complex clean up projects. Privacy was promised and carried out by her and her team. She stayed in contact from start to finish, giving assurance that the job would be completed on time, with thoroughness. I would highly recommend this company.

Angie and Phill are kind, compassionate and professional. They have helped two of my clients. Both were so afraid to reach out for help, due to feeling ashamed of their situation. Phill and Angie treated them with respect and dignity. One situation was urgent and they were able to come out the same day to remediate 10 years' worth of damage. Both clients were so relieved and grateful for Angie and Phill's help! Past the final roadblock, my clients were able to put their homes on the market.

This is the second time I have used Bio-One PDX for cleaning and I plan on using them for more projects in the future. They are professional, efficient and truly care about the work they do. I highly recommend their services; it is worth every penny.

Recently we had a tragic death in the family. The biohazard it made was horrendous and heartbreaking. Phill and his team responded even before the police left the scene. They were compassionate as much as they were efficient. They understood the grief my wife was going through and ‘erased’ the scene so she could enter without being traumatized. Being in law enforcement myself, I know how much hazmat cleanup can cost. BioOnePDX was extremely fair and cost effective. I honestly hope we never have to use them again for obvious reasons but if we did, I know we can trust them to take care of us as if we were part of their own family. I contacted Bio-One to assess cleaning and decontaminating the attic and basement of my home from years of undetected rodent infestation. And when I say cleaned out, I mean they removed and disposed of all debris, insulation, and unwanted junk from these areas. He then sanitized both areas with a decontamination enzyme, cleaning shelves/floors/attic beams, even the basement crawlspace. Phil the owner did the work himself, and was a pleasure to work with. All I had to do was mark the items in the basement I wanted to keep, and he took care of the rest, saving me from conducting hazardous cleaning work. Phil was very professional and respectful of both me and my home, and understanding, and he worked very fast (took less than 2 days total). Unlike another company I contacted to do the same work, Bio-One used an effective combination of decontamination/deodorizing products (not just something to mask the odor) as well as and enzyme product to further clean/decontaminate the beams and floors. On top of all that, they removed all the random boxes and junk from my basement whether it was contaminated or not (bonus), and cleaned everything that was to be left behind! Phil and his assistant took steps to ensure there was no mess left behind on the way to/from the attic and basement, and wore industrial PPE gear themselves during the whole process, a mark of true professionals (trust me, you don't want someone cleaning out rodent mess without properly protecting your home as well as themselves, not doing so indicates they don't know what they are doing). I would highly recommend Bio-One if you find unwelcome critters have invaded your home, I only regret I did not call Bio-One sooner. Thank you for helping me reclaim my home, Phil!

This company blew me away with their excellent service, but even more with the compassionate way they provided cleanup of a tragic event so the parents would not have to face the carnage. I would never use a different company if I ever needed one in the future. This family owned company really cares about the people they serve. I would recommend them for any job. Cleanliness with Care and Compassion. You won't find this anywhere else at this level.

The family of a close friend used the service, in a very unfortunate time. the crew who responded were top notch. they were thorough, kind. I would not know where to start! They came in, resolved the issue and I cannot recommend their services enough. Thank you!

Many thanks to PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their assistance in cleaning up my father’s home this December. From the initial email introduction and phone call, my concerns were put at ease, as this was all new to me.

Phill was very calming on the phone, as he knew this was a difficult call that I just made. He assured me that his team was compassionate and professional, as they too had gone through this same ordeal with his own family. Knowing that he comes from a place of empathy was exactly what I needed to hear!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, I provided a typed summary and pictures documenting the issues at hand. From there we scheduled an in-person meeting at the home, for a proper walk-through. He and his wife met me at my father’s house. They were professional, masked up, clipboard in hand and booties on the feet.

Upon entering the house, they didn’t break stride due to the smell and overall disarray…they took it all in and that helped me with my internal angst. They asked numerous questions and provided varying solutions. I truly felt at ease with them and knew they had my father’s best interests in mind.

Their almost 20 years of experience helped guide me through the process, even pointing out underlying issues I hadn’t even considered. Again, this was very comforting and reinforced their expertise and professionalism.

As we moved forward with the cleaning job, they provided an estimate in a timely manner, had quick scheduling opportunities and were able to complete the job in less than eight hours!

The cleaning team was friendly, professional and organized. They brought questions and suggestions to us, so we could quickly make calculated decisions. That said, I do recommend for the homeowner or caregiver to have a temporary ‘home base’, just outside of the home. The team moved quickly and everything was being shuffled around, so sitting at the dining table, waiting to answer questions is not the best location. Since the house is temporarily out of commission for making lunch, plan ahead and pack something or consider delivery.

All trash items were staged in the driveway and items to be sorted at a later date were in the garage. When my father returned to his house, from the outside, you couldn’t tell that anyone had been there! Upon entering the home, we were greeted with clean hallways and fresh smells. It didn’t smell of vanilla, but more importantly it didn’t smell of industrial cleaning solutions. Whew!

We cannot thank PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their care, attention to detail, professionalism and empathy. They made this difficult task, easier than expected. The total bill was commensurate with the level of service provided and I was grateful for everything.

In conclusion, my father was back in his home that evening and he’s in great spirits and pleased with everyone’s efforts. The house is ready to welcome family and friends for the holidays! Thank you Phill and Angela!

From the first call through every interaction and detail afterwards, I felt that we had made exactly the right choice choosing Bio-One. Society does not teach us that an unattended death is possible, and how challenging it can be. Phill, Angela and their team went above and beyond in their professionalism, courtesy, empathy, compassion, and thorough response to a clean up of a rental apartment after my mother died. A simple example of their care is that Phill reminded me gently that I did not have to re-enter the apartment while it was still a bio-hazard site, I could instead wait a few feet away in the hall as he let himself in. This thoughtfulness ran through all of their efforts to check with me and the landlord about the clean up and restoration process. I hired them for a phase 1 bio-hazard clean up and then for a phase 2 removal of items/deep clean. I don't have words to express how grateful I am for their support through these services at this difficult time. In the property manager's words: "they made it easy for us to replace the carpet and linoleum; there's not a lot to say in the walk through as they left it so clean...they even cleaned the blinds, wow (admiration in his voice as he lowered and raised them". I recommend them with all my gratitude.

Backstory: My mother has been dealing with a cancer and heart failure diagnosis, as well as severe depression for about two years, and her home was beyond the point we could clean it between the two of us.

Everything in the process of scheduling cleaning, getting information/estimates, during and post cleaning was entirely smooth and Angela and Philip are both extremely kind and understanding people.

The home was utterly, extremely cluttered and filthy and they managed to clean it out entirely within barely a day and a half. It is a joy for my mom to return to and has practically given her a new lease on life.

What impressed me the most was both their communication and attention to recovering valuables and usable items, they contacted me often during the cleaning to check what items should be kept or disposed of, and they managed to box up, save, and organize everything I could think of that needed to be.

The cleaning and organizing went beyond what I could possibly expect and we were truly astounded by how thorough of a job they did.

They have an extreme attention to detail and dedication to working with their client to understand their needs. I couldn't recommend them any higher, ultimately they vastly improved my mom's life and her living space.

If you have or know someone that has a living space that needs intense care, I could not name a thing they could do better.

I hired Bio-One to clean my apartment in early 2022... At first I was impressed by their responsiveness, communication, and seeming professional, I hired them on the spot. This was a horrible mistake I am still regretting over a year later, even after they refunded me approximately 2000 dollars of their nearly 5000 dollar fee. Let me explain...
After a horrible break-up with a narcissistic abusive sociopath, and a trip to rehab, I had come back to find my penthouse apartment a complete and utter post-apocalyptic wasteland. I was overwhelmed. I was trying to get my life back after two years of being stuck with someone who I could not kick out due to COVID rules. She had no job. She had no resources. She moved in under the pretense of a visit and by the time I realized it, had used my place as her own place of residence. That being said, this review is not about her. It is about the completely unprofessional job performed by this company.
At first, they seemed great. I was living in hotels because I could not bear to be at home, and so I sent photographs to them for a rough estimate and a plan. Their initial quote was higher than I would have liked, but tolerable. The actual price was much greater and not worth paying.
I had not been home for months. Here's a not comprehensive list of things they destroyed or threw away instead of separating them as valuable or cleaning them:
-TV Remotes and various electronics and cables and cords
-A brand new purple iPhone 11
-Tarot Decks
-Vintage Corelle Plates, Dishes, Bowls, and Mugs (I had a sink, running water, and a dishwasher, so...???)
-At least half of my clothes
-Over half of my Glasses, including wineglasses, tumblers, highballs, etc. Are they not aware glass can be cleaned?
-More clothes
-Books
-Keepsakes and family photos
At this point, you are get the idea... I can understand things like throwing away bad bedding, but glasses? Clothes that were in a pile? Shoes? TV Remotes?! Yes, the place was very filthy but many of the items they threw away were perfectly able to be cleaned, or otherwise not actually dirty and stowed away, or they may have stolen, like a brand new iPhone.
Furthermore, the house as they left it was not truly clean, on a closer look at the photos they sent before leaving, after telling me they would have me come by before they left but did not. It looked fine. The truth was very different. The floors were given minimal care, still dust and grime in trim and corners, and worst of all, they did not even bother cleaning out the fridge or kitchen whatsoever, they simply threw all of my silverware, plates, glasses, mugs, and suchlike in the trash and left rotting food in the cabinets and fridge and freezer....
Originally they said at every step of the way they would keep in contact, they would call if any item was of question to keep or toss. I was staying downtown at a hotel.
They didn't even check my hallway closet at all despite being instructed to remove anything from it that was recyclable to trash... Honestly, I don't have an exhaustive list. However, you know what they did do good? They refunded me about half of the amount of the cleaning and I appreciated that, but now over a year later, I'm still realizing how much has gone missing and that my original estimate of damages and carelessness was severely underestimated.
I would not suggest hiring this company whatsoever, they make bold promises but do not live up to them, except, as they like to proudly state, any cash or coins they find they leave for you to recover. They did do that, it was about 50 bucks. However as I said, I'm now realizing that for a cost of nearly 5000 dollars, and even with a refund of about 2000... I'm missing things I cannot replace. Find someone better or reserve these people for jobs where you care about nothing. They dispose of things indiscriminately and are probably great if you find yourself stuck with a hoarder home or trap house. I've run out of characters...

From the first phone call to the final clean up, everyone I came into contact with at Bio One was professional, hard working, and compassionate - the exact combination needed for our particular situation. They asked all the right questions and made sure to check in frequently to ensure timely and exceptional service. I am beyond grateful to Phil, Angela, Jacob and the entire crew at Bio One who helped our family in a very tough time. Thank you for such remarkable service!

This company's communication was top tier. They responded incredibly quickly, listened in detail to my explanation, and gave candid and cost-saving advice to just remove and replace some carpet and padding instead of hiring them to remove odor. Thank you!

A while back I had some rats take up residence in my garage, which is giant and mostly unused other than as a storage space. I had pest control come help me eliminate the guests but their party signs remained. After diligent research on safely handling rat droppings, I suited up with my $100 of PPE and gear and went to get to work on what I thought would be an unpleasant but manageable Sunday afternoon task. Thirty minutes in, I was ugly-crying into my half-face respirator mask on the garage floor, and clicked the first result that came up on a google search for help. I am beyond grateful that I ended up with the team that came to help a few days later. They were the most incredibly combination of compassionately kind, and masterfully, efficiently competent. It was a much bigger job than I realized, and they walked me through exactly what to expect, executed the job thoroughly, and left me with a functional garage. I wept when I saw it. I clean blown away by how kind and matter-of-fact everyone was. I am so grateful for their help.

The Bio-One team did an amazing job and completely transformed my apartment in just a few hours! I was in awe. They were thoughtful and thorough and worked well together in a small space with a lot of stuff. They were able to tackle tasks without needing direction and always asked questions when they weren't sure. I highly recommend them.

Bio-One PDX was there for us during the worst week of our lives. They provided compassionate, efficient, and professional crime scene clean-up. Phone communication regarding scheduling and services was excellent. They were able to work directly with property management for access in order to make things easier for us during this difficult time. The cost was very reasonable as well.

We were very impressed with the two young men who came to deep clean a bedroom that had not been used for a while. They did everything very well down to the walls and floor. They were efficient and fast and had the project done in a timely fashion . They cleaned up after themselves in all areas and did a splendid job. We would highly recommend them to any other friend or relative.

The company as a whole were excellent at giving timely information about what would happen and when it would be done. They were very accommodating as to dates and time. Overall, based on their work ethic and quick response, I would recommend them to others who may need the same services.
