Electrical reviews in Eugene, Oregon

They didn't finish the job and then billed us when they came back and were disrespectful while they were here. They have a very poor work ethic and poor social skills.

Great work installing new service and connected whole house generator.

Decan was extremely professional and courteous. He found solutions to every problem. I highly recommend!

What a joke! This company sent some idiots out to trench for electric. They came out 5 times and still did not pass inspection. They ruined the driveway and trenched in the wrong place. Complete idiots! Don’t hire them.

AAA+++ Highly recommend for big or small projects. Awesome local company with knowledgeable staff that is easy to work. Friendly with good communication and prompt service.

Best electricians, third time they did work for us. Easy to work with, on-time, knowledgeable, quick, professional. Highly Recommended.

Bear Mountain is always quick to get you on the schedule and the work is always done to the highest standard. I have used them for years for many different projects and am always impressed.

I've had work done by Bear Mountain Electric twice. As far as I can tell, the work was done well both times. However, it seemed a bit overpriced to me both times. And more importantly, I scheduled work to be done in the morning (between 8 and 12), and the electrician didn't arrive until 12:30, and needed to stay for several hours. And they weren't particularly communicative or apologetic about the delay.

wanted to come out and just do the work without me knowing how much it was going to be. They also said the person that comes out to do the work would not be able to tell me how much it would be, that they would just invoice me for the work? When i said i wanted to know first they sent someone out the next day. He quoted me the job would take a little over 2 hours plus parts, $300-350. The next day they came back and did the work, the gentleman was only there about 50 mins and there were very 1few parts used, maybe a total of $40. When I called the next day to inquire about it only taking 50 mins and if that was going to be reflected in my bill they said they were actually charging my 100 for coming out to do the quote? They did finally credit me 90 for the quote. I know who I won't be using info the future.

Made an appointment more than a week ahead. On the appointment day, no body showed up. Called the office several times, the receptionist said that she does not have the list of jobs and she can't help! Unbelievable!
Then around 5 pm, a guy called and said: "I had to go emergency power outage jobs today and I am sure that you understand emergency jobs have priority!! We will call you tomorrow morning to make another appointment "
Well, even if you had to go for a life and death emergency and give somebody a CPR, you could have taken 20 seconds and call the customer beforehand that you are going to an emergency and you won't show up. Because, the customer also had other things going on and had to stay home the whole day waiting for you!! Also, it is a good idea to leave a copy of job lists with your phone receptionist!
Btw, of course nobody called the day after to make another appointment.
Bottomline: STAY AWAY from this electrician and go for others in the area, as I did. -
I have had Bear Mountain do multiple jobs for my home and my business. Each time, they have been prompt and professional. Their work is top notch as well. Very reliable electricians!

No call no show on the day of our appointment (Wednesday). Chad didnt show up until the following Monday to start the job. This was after multiple calls and a lot of frustration on our part. He seemed surprised at some of the tasks we asked him to complete, as if the initial surveyor didnt communicate with him what we wanted done. Chad worked for three days, but left without completing the work. He left without informing us of when he would return. No call, no show the following day (Thursday). We called several times to reach someone to find out what was going on. We were told he had other jobs to do. Again, we were very frustrated as we were left hanging with an incomplete job (no electricity and a trench that spanned the length of our driveway- we couldn't fill in until the electric had been run from the main circuit to the shop). He returned the following Monday (2 weeks from original appointment date) to finish. Lastly, the bill we received from Bear Mountain was outrageous. It felt like they took advantage of us. If you are looking for honest communication, prompt and reliable service, and fairly priced work look elsewhere for your electric needs.

Bear Mountain electric is simply awesome! They show up on time. They are very professional and efficient, and provided top notch work at very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend this company!!

Caveat Emptor (buyer beware) or you'll be gouged - get a complete quote - including materials - before agreeing to having the work done.
Electrician showed up and offered to do the work at that moment with material on hand. The final bill reflects his labor (at the quoted rate) and hundreds in materials for a few outlets and fixtures and associated cable. Cost of those (at consumer retail which they don't pay) was roughly a third of that.
The work was done quickly, done well, and is safe - no complaints and would recommend it if it weren't for this practice. I cannot say if it was the individual electrician who was using this exploit or the larger company's regular practice, but it reflects poorly on the whole operation.

The rates are reasonable and the service is always prompt and efficient! They send someone out within a few days at the very most and usually the same day with no extra charge. All of the technicians are very professional and good at their job. And they do free estimates for bigger projects. I would highly recommend Bear Mountain Electric for all of your electrical needs.

Randy rebook good care of me. He fixed a hinky outlet that had been a problem for a while. I asked if he could figure how to get a bulb out of some recessed lighting because I had been trying for months, even bringing pictures to Jerry's and Home Depot, all to no avail. He changed it out and warned me that the bulb cost would be high when I got my bill. I was so thrilled that he got both of those tasks done quickly that I gave him a hug.

Bear Mountain Electric upgraded our electrical panel and did some other lesser jobs to our home. They were excellent in every aspect and area of a professional and A+ business. They were courteous, respectful of us and our home, did top-grade work, on and on....A+. We would highly recommend them for any electrical job needed.

Had a great experience using Bear Mountain Electric to get my house ready to have power restored after a tree damaged my house. Great communication great technicians. Will definitely use again.
-
Bear Mountain ensured the panel on our new home was safe and up to code. They also replaced all our can lights with top of the line LED trimmed can lights, in addition to correcting issues with multi-way switching. They got us on the schedule quickly and the work was done up to our expectations. We will use them in the future for all our electrical needs.

I won't be using them again. Hourly rate of $135, guy was here for maybe 50mins something super simple, they charged me 195$ said I was charged for travel time but I'm in town no where far. I think that's bad business, I don't know any other company who charges that type of rate for basic travel plus premium hourly.
