Reese has been handling my front and back yard for years now and I must say that I have never had a better experience from a landscaping company than the one I've had with Reese Landscapes. Their customer service team is friendly and helpful. The crew that comes to do the work is always on schedule, fast, respectful, and great at their job. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Reese landscaping was a really easy company to work with - fast with a written estimate, work done well and timely. The workers showed up looking professional and advised of the work they were scheduled to do. Before I knew it, the work was done and they were leaving. Everything was cleaned up and you could seriously tell the work was done by professionals. I’ve had several contractors work at my house during the last year, and this was one of the easiest experiences I had with a contractor.

Use someone else. It’s been about a year and a half since Reese did my 13k dollar+ landscape and it’s not even close to up to par. The maples aren’t growing one is dead as they planted them too deep. The trees pictured have been “growing” for nearly 2 years. The very small lawn is super patchy with all kinds of divots. Tubes are showing throughout my yard. Just very bad work. On top of that they take ZERO accountability and will basically blame you for their bad work. We had a plant die nearly immediately after they finished and they wouldn’t even replace that. The owner lady does not make it right for their high paying customers and will argue that somehow this was good work. I can not warn you enough DO NOT USE this company. They will do a bad install and wash their hands of it. Go elsewhere. Also I wanted to add I’ve never given a bad review anywhere but this work and the follow up to it was just horrible. We also had issues with our sprinkler system but I won’t even get into all that.

It was a pleasure working with Reese Landscapes from the estimate to the finished project. I called for an estimate, and due to a cancelation, got it done that same day. The process was simple, the company easy to communicate with, and my paver patio and walkway turned out beautifully. All through the project, they demonstrated professionalism and caring, cleaning up everything, placing excavation dirt where I could use it in the yard, even bothering to get bark from my pile, to dress up the ground around the patio before leaving. After seeing the patio results, and how involved it is to do pavers the right way, I am so glad I decided to have the work done by professionals. I would highly recommend this company!

Reese Landscapes does excellent work! They do regular maintenance work on my yard, which is always top-notch. The gardeners are always friendly and kind, and they clean up when muddy boots mess up the front stairs and porch. They also installed pavers on the side yard where I hide my waste cans. Again, they did an excellent, professional job that looks terrific. And I have to say, it's always such a pleasure to come home to a beautifully cared for yard. Thank you, Reese Landscapes!

Reese Landscapes have performed a number of services for us. They repaired our sprinkler system and installed required back flow equipment. They also replaced sprinkler heads that were not performing.

We hired Reese Landscapes to remove and replace almost all of the extensive landscaping in our front yard, which had become unmanageable, with fresh material that provide a much prettier look and curbside appeal, as well as easier maintenance. The job also included placing dark mulch in all beds, front, rear and side areas, which immediately improved appearance (see photos).

Reese removed select overgrown plants in the back yard which provided the remaining ones better exposure and "breathing room."

We now have Reese Landscapes perform monthly maintenance including lawn edge trimming, weeding, surface cleanup and miscellaneous work as requested. We mow the lawns ourselves but this task is now much easier given the manicured results of Reese's care.

The prices for these various tasks are reasonable. Reese's responsiveness has been excellent anytime we contact them for tasks large and small.

We worked with GrassRoots to regrade our backyard to make it safe for our kids to play in. This included landscape design, retaining wall construction, regrading, concrete sidewalks, sod, irrigation, deck construction, and planting. They were great to work with, responsive, and accommodating to changes as we went along. We highly recommend GrassRoots and would use them for future projects.

Grassroots did a complete redesign of our yard. The results are fantastic. I very glad we picked a company that could handle every part of the project, from design to excavation to plantings.

I was impressed with quality and professionalism of the Grassroots people and the subcontractors they brought to our house. Every person seemed to know what they were doing and care about our project.

My experience was positive from the first meeting. Phil/GrassRoots arrived on time and had multiple creative, great looking, in-budget ideas immediately. The quote arrived well within my budget and the entire project came in exactly at the quote, amazing. The work was terrific, the finished design solution looks fantastic and was completed quickly. Crew was terrific and my property, time and budget were always respected. Phil had great suggestions for tweaks that came up once the project was underway. Communication was great at every step of the way. I couldn't be happier, my neighbors are envious, and I will both use GrassRoots for other projects in the future and recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Our experience with GrassRoots has been nothing but positive. It is a small, local business that places its focus on the needs of the client. Working with Phil was so enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator, creatively problem-solving so that we ended with a project better than we had anticipated. He listened to our wishes, gave great advice, provided hard numbers and stuck to them. I'm pretty sure the project ran over budget, as there were a couple of unexpected issues, but we heard nothing about it. The bid was the bid (this has not been our experience in the past). His crew was excellent, always on time and on task. Everyone was pleasant and cooperative. We asked for a nice yard and have ended with a beautiful park-like garden which we are now entrusting to their maintenance crew. We came in on budget and on time. Imagine that! We look forward to many years enjoying our garden and our relationship with GrassRoots.

Garrett and the crew at Grassroots did a major overhaul of our backyard. They handled every facet from design to finish. Our new yard looks spectacular. It is better than we could ever dream. Even when the weather or some unforeseen issue arose they stepped up and addressed and solved each and every issue with speed and professionalism. Even after the job was done, I still get calls from Garrett checking to see if we are still happy and if we have any questions. Top notch service and performance. I will not hesitate to call them for any future jobs. We are loyal Grassroots customers for life.

I have lived in Eugene in the same home for over 20 years and have worked with several landscape companies over the years with very mixed results. I contracted this past summer with GrassRoots to maintain my very large home lot within the Eugene city limits that includes wetlands in about a 50:50 ratio with my back yard landscaping. That complicates the work because of the special requirements of caring for these protected areas. GrassRoots has exceeded my expectations in every regard. Robert and Tyrus have made my entire lot look neat, clean, and well-maintained. The transition from yard to wetlands looks seamless and natural. I have been so impressed with GrassRoots regular maintenance that I am contracting with them to design and make major improvements to my patios and paths as well as improvements to my shrubs and perennials. Tim Gravlin, who has been my main contact at GrassRoots has been helpful, prompt, and a real pleasure to work with. GrassRoots Landscape has my highest recommendation.

My experience with GrassRoots was outstanding. They created a new gravel seating area and a large new perennial/pollinator garden. They also upgraded my irrigation system and helped improve sight lines around the house with appropriate plantings. It was a fairly large project with a lot of their team members on site and it is very clear they are all trained in customer service. I highly recommend GrassRoots!

From the first phone call to Phillip regarding our project to the end of the project was fantastic. We started out thinking of landscape cleanup with a possible hardscape. Phillip met with us and talked with us regarding our daughter's wedding to be held at our house. He gave us ideas that went with our natural habitat and was receptive to our budget as well. He was responsive when we had questions. We are very happy with our grass that was put in and our crushed granite patio with a sitting wall. We are excited for the warmer weather so we can sit out there and enjoy it. The workers that came out were very professional and kind. We enjoyed watching the project progress with them. They went above and beyond in keeping our place clean each day and when the project was completed they made sure everything was in even better shape than when they started. Phillip even said he would come back in March to make sure the grass that had to be seeded had taken root. We would highly recommend using Grassroots. They are fantastic to work with and do a great job.

We moved to our new home earlier this year. We wanted to have quite a bit of work done, including a paver patio extension with cover, installation of irrigated raised beds, a new flagpole and little free garden. I cannot say enough about Phillip Farris and all of the people we worked with from GrassRoots Landscaping: absolutely the best of the best. From the initial meeting to the end result we have been beyond impressed and delighted with the professionalism , quality, value and integrity of every person on the team and their level of skill and competency. My first meeting with Phillip was so very helpful: he listened to me and managed to put into words (and on paper)what I was describing as the effect I wanted for our outdoor spaces. I felt heard and understood. From that point on things proceeded as planned, we were always informed and notified of what was going to happen and when , and the people who did the work were wonderful. From Joe to the others, they were a delight to have on our property and to work with. Trust is important to me and to my husband and we felt as if we were in the best of hands from start to finish.

We are now looking out at plants that are thriving and looking back on delightful days of planning, putting it all into place and enjoying the presence of the GrassRoots team. Their work is superb - and the service excellent. and for an update: we had Spencer come to our home and get our watering system up and running. He was great! He knew what he was doing and did it well - plus he was a delight to have at our home. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. We love grassroots!
