I recently hired the GrassRoots crew to do a small landscaping project at a new home I was moving into. The experience was great from the very beginning. The crew was always timely and very professional. In a short time they were able to clear out old and dated landscaping that we wanted to get rid of and give our front and backyard a completely fresh and low maintenance new look including new sod and arborvitae. I would recommend GrassRoots Landscaping Company to anyone looking for a skilled and professional landscape crew, and I would definitely hire them again for future projects.

From start to finish of my project, I was impressed with the entire Grassroots team. They communicate well, provide valuable insight and opinions, are timely, and trustworthy. As snags were encountered, these were communicated and solutions (and budget updates) were presented. Their experience and attention to detail shows. Over the years, we have worked with many landscaping companies and none have been more professional than Garrett and the Grassroots crew. We asked for a low maintenance yard. Grassroots listened to our objectives and came back with a plan that fit our needs perfectly. They were professional, transparent, polite and willing to go the extra mile to overcome issues. Our backyard's hillside had been in need of attention for maybe more than 4 years. This was mostly our own fault — as new homeowners we allowed the soil to erode, we didn't take care of the plants properly, we were not familiar with the irrigation systems or maintaining them. By the time we started talking to GrassRoots, we had a very good idea of what we'd need to do and almost entirely no idea how to execute it. GrassRoots helped us put together and modify a plan that met all of our expectations. We worked with Tim, who was great to work with, highly knowledgeable, and excellent at managing the project and communication.

After nailing down details of the project (plant layout, new irrigation, French drain installation, erosion control, lighting, etc.), GrassRoots began work and did it ALL in about a week or two. Near the project's completion, there were a few items that we were not happy with and GrassRoots addressed them quickly. By the end of the project, our yard was built completely as we expected, within budget and timeline. We are looking forward to working with GrassRoots again in the future!

Garrett and his team have been very involved and insightful throughout our project. They take the time to propose elevated designs and material selections based on your budget and concepts. A couple summers ago, we made the fantastic decision to hire GrassRoots to overhaul the back patio of our downtown cocktail lounge, and the ripple effect that it caused for our business is immeasurable. Garrett really understood what we were hoping to achieve, and he met our ideas with his own wonderful creativity and exceptional execution. He and his crew worked with our budget and salvaged as much of our pre-existing patio furniture as he could, but everything got a facelift, and the new fence and structures he built completely transformed our outdoor space and turned it into a downtown destination. Thank you, GrassRoots. After two years, your work has held up through Oregon's worst weather and crazy busy nights, and is still a huge point of pride for us.

We have a large property with large planter areas in the front which were in need of a refreshing and upgrade. I read the reviews online of several landscaping businesses in the area and Grassroots was the company I ended up hiring for the job. I was not disappointed, the reviews were spot on, great company, pricing was fair and the follow-up, which is so important to me, was terrific. The front of our property now looks clean and fresh with a pop of color. Any questions I had were answered quickly and they were willing to work with me on the pallet plan. I would highly recommend this company for your landscaping projects.

GrassRoots has done an amazing job with both our front and back yards. We were not happy with the previous landscaper we’d worked with and our experience with Garrett and crew could not have been better. They finished on budget and completed on time. The entire crew was respectful, kind and collaborative. We especially appreciated how neat they were, as did our neighbors. Every single day, they carefully cleaned the site. We still have a side yard to complete and plan on having GrassRoots do the job!

The team at Grassroots did a wonderful job on a couple of recent renovations. As a group, they have a genuine interest in the specific plants and esthetic choices. They collaborate well. They can get a lot done in a day, having the expertise, equipment and positive energy. I look forward to working with them again on jobs large and small!

Grassroots did an incredible job at installing our garden in a timely and efficient manner. We have approximately 3000 square feet of landscaping that includes; new trees, shrubs, native perennials, groundcovers, existing mature trees, a rainwater/garden trough and hardscaping. The Grassroots crew worked with us to add and substitute some plants that were not available based upon the original design ( from a different landscape designer). In fact, Paul helped us create a new design for one section of our project after learning that we wanted native plants. The crew also installed a drip irrigation system and showed us how to manage the watering needs for each section of our garden that includes many different planters.
Additionally, Garrett provided us with expertise and experience to manage serious underground water issues. We are very happy with all of the attention and customer care that the entire Grassroots team demonstrated throughout our project. We highly recommend them.

Tim and his crew did an awesome job re-landscaping ny front and back yards. New plants, new grass and sprinkler/drip irrigation. Highly recommend.

If I could give GrassRoots 10 stars I would! Garrett and his crew have done multiple jobs at my property and every time the work has been outstanding!
First project was a new back deck, as the one we had was falling apart. Called Garrett about a year later to design and landscape the backyard. Turned out great! They have now completed our front landscaping which included a front door overhang, new driveway, new fence and grass.

Tim and his crew are absolutely "Top Notch". His design work for our backyard addressed all of our wants/needs and the price was very reasonable. His crew were all extremely hard workers and very personable. The entire job took about a week and they took care to clean up the jobsite at the end of each day. I can heartily recommend GrassRoots for any landscaping needs you might have.

They just completed a 5-day front yard redo for us and we couldn't be happier. From design to final clean up, they worked hard and sought our input every step of the way. They replaced our water-hungry grass lawn with a dry creekbed, a walkway around the side of the house and low maintenance shrubs and perennials that will draw bees and birds. Our neighbors are envious!
