Our Project Manager was exceptional. We would work with him again in a heartbeat, as he was professional, attentive, and always followed through. He also consistently went above and beyond expectations for us. We very much appreciated the attention to detail and responsiveness. The care that was taken with the job site and protecting our home during the process was impressive. The work was outstanding and went beyond our expectations -- we receive compliments every time we have someone over about how nice our bathroom looks!

Since 2006, we’ve provided stonework on 80+ remodeling projects for Olson & Jones and it’s been a pleasure working with their entire staff -- from project managers and superintendents to accounting and administrative support. Their approach to remodeling is thoughtful and well planned (including having the best dust/debris barrier on any jobsites we’ve encountered!) to create beautiful, carefully-built environments for their homeowner clients. We’re proud to be a part of Olson & Jones’ team of skilled craftsman subcontractors and recommend them without any hesitation.

Olson & Jones did a great job on my project. They repaired a screened in porch in a high-end custom home. The project involved custom materials and very exacting craftsmanship. The work was outstanding and required very little supervision on my part. Highly recommended!

I am a painting contractor in Portland with A Fresh Coat Painting. We have worked with Olson and Jones for the last 15 years. They bring professionalism, honesty and deep expertise to every job. They treat every job and customer with respect. They care about the details many people are unlikely to see. They strive to keep bringing everyone up and making the jobs even better. I highly recommend working with them. We have referred them to a number of our customers who have always been very happy with their work.

in 2009 I had a major home renovation done by Olson and Jones and was very extremely satisfied with both the quality of their work and their responsiveness. This summer I needed to have a few unusual items taken care of at my home (including replacement of a rotted corbel 30 feet from the ground), so I telephoned the first and only company I would trust to do work on my home. Olson and Jones is not a fly-by-night company that promises something inexpensive and then may or may not deliver a substandard product. I have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend this quality company.

We had a series of energy-efficiency projects done on our home through the CEWO program, as well as some extras we had been wanting. Olson & Jones' contractors were extremely professional through the whole thing. They walked us through everything they were planning to do and made sure we understood it all, patiently answering all of our questions and modifying the projects according to our needs and desires. Once the work began, they were highly considerate of our schedule, kept disturbances to a minimum, and most important of all they did excellent work on everything. They had excellent follow-up once the project was completed as well. All in all, I highly recommend Olson & Jones and will be calling them first for any contracting I need done in the future.

Columbia Crossing Construction did an incredible and speedy job repairing walls and flooring in our home. We highly recommend their service.

My small kitchen update involved fairly minor work and EXTENSIVE flexibility and skill. He and his team were so communicative, responsive, and able to be patient with the delivery time of my update. He is well prepared, knowledgable, and a true professional. I highly recommend him for your team.

I recently hired Jeremy for changing 4 bathroom fans. He showed up on time and prepared. He did a very clean and neat job, and was very fair on pricing. I would definitely contact him for my future home projects.

I have been working with Jeremy for over 20 years. He is my go to when clients are asking who to call for their remodeling needs. His attention to detail and flawless customer service puts him in a class above everyone else. He is not only the owner but a true practitioner of his craft.

I am delighted that Jeremy has been working with us. We met Jeremy last winter when one of those wind/ice storms blew down two sections of our backyard fence, which landed in the middle of our neighbor's driveway. The first contractor who assessed the damage (not Jeremy) opined that our whole fence would have to be replaced and the gates reworked, at considerable expense.
Then we met and hired Jeremy. He put the broken fence back in place (no problem) using a new type of fence support system. He needed to replace only one panel of fencing and replace the top piece of wood on a couple of sections. He didn't need to modify the gates. Quick, perfect, modest cost. Severn months later the fence remains in prefect shape.
Based on that experience, we hired Jeremy for a bigger project, which is now nearing completion. We are getting our house into shape so we can enjoy it, and probably sell it with in a year.
My wife and I are retired psychiatrists who treated patients taught in medical schools. We moved with our family from the East Coast. I ran a research program at OHSU. My wife retired from practice so she could have more time with the kids, pursue other interest and help all of us to get to know the Pacific Northwest.
We bought a lovely house that dates back to the 1890s, Over the past few years we put on a new roof, updated the sewer system, and replaced the furnace, water heater, washer and drier. About two years ago a medical problem in the family took our attention away from the house. Our beautiful deck behind the house developed weak spots that I covered over with plywood. The stairs going up to the deck from the yard fell into disrepair. The same contractor who gave us the inflated quote on the fence repair said we should throw out the whole deck and bring in a crane to remove the hot-tub left over from the previous owner, and start over..
Fortunately we were able to hire Jeremy for this project. He found that the wood below the surface of the deck was in fine shape so we just had to replace the deck and the small set of stairs. He and his associate removed the hot tub with saws (no crane) and hauled it away in their pickup truck. Jeremy selected every plank for the new deck. He made sure that there were no warped planks. He and his assistant installed the planks with sturdy, gold-colored screws.
Then the rains began. We had heavy rain almost every day through the Spring. The rain threatened to ruin the beautiful wood, so Jeremy built a tent out of plastic film that is made for this purpose. The tent covered the entire deck, keeping out most of the water but not the moist air. Day after day Jeremy measured the moisture content for the wood to assess when stain could be applied.
Eventually the rains abated and the moisture level in the wood finally dropped. The stain went on in less than a day, producing colors I had never seen in stained wood. It's beautiful.
Oh, yes, I've made the first two payments for this work and have more to make. This work is not cheap, but it is very reasonable, and an excellent investment for the future.
    Thank you. WHW

I requested a service a bit out of the norm for Jeremy and his team at Columbia Crossing, and they nailed the assignment.

The project was a subtle sprinter van conversion, removing the factory rear bench seat/bed, building a platform bed with multiple angles factoring in accessibility, and elevating the platform for additional storage.

The materials and engineering put into this platform bed far exceeded my thoughts, and I am glad I went with professionals. The fit and finish have continued to impress, as this van has managed hundreds of miles of washboard gravel roads, and the sturdiest and quietest component of the sprinter is the platform bed!

Thank you again, Jeremy; you nailed it!

Jeremy is an excellent communicator answering questions in a timely manner. His knowledge of design resulted in a change which enhances my house. Joel did meticulous prep work for the exterior painting and made sure that I could come and go easily. If you want attention to detail and great people to work with, hire Columbia Crossing. Susan M. I've hired Jeremy several times to do work on a rental house I manage. He has always gone above and beyond, doing the job with the highest care and quality. He also is so reasonably priced that one of my tenants hired him on jobs where he works. Great contractor- you won't be disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jeromy Dieter, the owner of Columbia Crossing Construction. We have been attempting to complete a house remodel for over a year, with a multitude of delays and setbacks, in large part due to the current pandemic. He was highly recommended by Dominick Guglielmo of Avanti Painting and I have to say that Jeromy is one of the nicest persons and contractor I have ever dealt with. He has been instrumental in getting work done with efficiency and outstanding quality. He promptly responds to inquiries and he is an excellent communicator. After tilework was completed, he was able to re-build and custom match all missing baseboards. He then recruited an amazing cabinet maker, and in a short amount of time, he was able to get our kitchen back in order with custom made cabinets to match existing ones. He is in the process of adding light fixtures and additional finish work to finally get the remodel completed. In other words, he can do just about anything related to a house remodel and all the work he has done has been of the outmost quality. We feel fortunate to have met such a remarkable person and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Jeremy completed various remodel projects on our Victorian house in Portland. The work included challenging and detailed trim work around doors and floors, and kitchen area.
We were extremely pleased with the results. He was quick and efficient. He stayed within our budget without compromising the quality of the work. Based on our experience, we can highly recommend him and his company for any remodel work.
