Adam and his team did a fantastic job on our roof. They worked quickly and did a great job. Wonderful communication when it’s impossible to get most contractors on the phone. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I have personally worked with Adam and his team. They are not only honest about their work but also operate with integrity in every way, from the initial inspection to the final completion. It is difficult to find a good contractor you can trust nowadays but Adam exceeds any expectations a contractor can have. I 100% recommend him.

Ryan came out to my home in Hood River and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very personable and professional. He really went the extra mile and clearly was out for my best interest vs making the most money. Will gladly work with Hawthorne again in the future.

I had a roof leak in my home. Contacted Adam. Next day promptly he came home. Looked at the leak. He went in to the attic and identified the area where the water was seeping in etc. Etc.
He is very friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He gives free estimates.

The new roof looks good. Communication was prompt and effective. I paid what I was quoted, no extra 'gotchas'. Post-completion cleanup could have used more attention to detail - I found roofing nails and metal shavings in the driveway and lawn. I would definitely use Hawthorne General Construction for future projects.

Adam gave excellent advice on re-roofing our 1926 house. Materials are top notch. His crew was timely and dedicated to doing a thorough job. And they cleaned up the site and hauled off all debris as soon as they were done. All at very reasonable and transparent cost. i will call Hawthorne for our next project.

I meant to add my review awhile back but got delayed for some reason unknown to me. I can’t speak highly enough about Hawthorne Construction. The go the extra mile and you can feel confident knowing that if there’s a problem (which there won’t be) that it would be taken care of quickly. We feel that they put customer over cost compared to some companies that don’t don’t do that. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and professional workers. The team at Hawthorne was introduced to us by our realtor, Aubrey Martin (also amazing). The were very professional, always on time, and did high quality work. I highly recommend them for any job big or small. They really made a difference for us as we put our best foot forward on our home sale in a short turn around time.

Hawthorne recently reroofed our house and did an excellent job. We got three bids for the job which were all relatively equivalent but Hawthorne would do the job with a better grade of materials. Adam and Ryan also were much more meticulous in identifying issues which needed attention prior to beginning the job. One issue I was particularly concerned about was that we have solar collectors which would need to be removed and reinstalled and I was unsure whether that could be done without problems. They were not only able to do the reinstallation without a problem, the collectors seem to be working even better than previously as a result of a thorough cleaning. Final price was exactly as bid with no surprises. The roof looks great and we are happy to recommend Adam and Hawthorne Construction.

They did our roof in 2024. The owner Adam came out and did the final inspection himself, found some minor items that needed fixing, and they were fixed in a timely manner. Flash forward to February 2026, we find water coming into our kitchen via the exhaust vent. I email Adam at 9pm and explain the situation, asking him if they can help. He responded within 10 minutes that he would be out the next day. He comes and assesses the issue and says he can have someone out to fix it tomorrow. He also said that even though when we got our roof done in 2024 they only had a 1-year workmanship warranty, but since then, they have implemented a 10-year workmanship warranty and he will be applying that to our roof, so the repair will be of no cost to us. I cannot express how much I appreciate the customer service from Adam and his company.

Great communication and quality. Austin provides a really good service. He installed the cable railing on my front deck and stairs, and repaired parts of the deck that needed additional repair.

An A+ experience with Austin and his crew. Responsive and great communicators. Take immense pride - ownership even - in their work. Left the worksite tidy each day. The finished product more than exceeds our expectations. The fence is pronounced a "beautiful fence" by everyone who sees it. The deck with built in planter is just lovely. Austin Peton is a very capable and accomplished contractor. He's done a variety of jobs for us, including conversion of a garage attic into a beautiful room, and enclosing a porch to make a room. He is professional, on time, and does beautiful work. And he's a pleasure to have around; he's congenial, and cares about his clients and their needs. I recommend him with enthusiasm.

We first used Austin to put up a mid-century modern fence for our front yard. We were thrilled with it and had him and his crew erect a pergola in our back yard. We then used him to upgrade our old, badly worn deck with composite decking and contemporary balustrades. He also assembled our 10 x 18 foot greenhouse, first leveling the older foundation upon which it now rests.
He is our "go to" guy for remodeling and repairs. He is open and honest about costs, timelines, and makes excellent suggestions for us to consider. His team is hard working, professional, and friendly. Finally, he's just a nice guy to do business with.

Austin and his team exhibited consummate professionalism throughout the entire our entire project. They readily communicated which where we stood on our porch rebuild and are talented and exacting.
Our old porch was a neighborhood eyesore. It's now the best on our street. We couldn't be happier with the result and will be using Peton Construction for our next project.

At this point, Austin and crews have essentially helped us on projects from small to large in all areas of our multi-year home improvement process. We can't sing his/their praises loud enough! The most recent project was help in creating beautiful and functional platforms for a backyard art studio and storage set of yurts. We knew we needed high quality platforms for these projects and that's what Peton Construction delivered. As ever, professional and friendly from start to finish with excellent and proactive communication throughout. Whenever snags were hit (as happens) Austin was his typical creative problem-solving wiz self and readjusted easefully. We cannot give enough stars to express what a gift we think it is to have been fortunate enough to find and work with Austin and crew over the years and HIGHLY recommend a collaboration if given the chance. He'll always be the first person we reach out to!
