Jason from Westside Electric came out to my home to install a 50amp breaker and external outlet to enable me to plug in a gas generator to power my home during long electrical outages. The entire process went as smooth as silk. Jason and Westside are a professional, skilled and technically amazing service. Jason fully explained the installation, what I could power in my home based on my generator, told me what power cord adapters I required and encouraged me to follow up with him directly with any questions. I am a repeat customer and will be again in the future.

Electrician came to evaluate central vacuum circuit that was frequently tripping the circuit breaker. He replaced outlet and involved breaker and rechecked entire circuit. Communicated well with me the entire time. Total time for service call was about 35 minutes. I am very pleased with WSE.

My family has been using Westside Electric since it opened in the early 1960’s. I have been using it personally since the 1990’s. They have always been exceptional electricians, professional and just great people. I highly recommend them in searching for great service and quality work!

Westside Electric is the contractor who PGE specified to install a ChargePoint L2 charger which also required a new breaker box. Westside sent a quote the day after I submitted the application to PGE. We agreed on a date that was not hot outside, so we did not have to go without A/C. Very flexible to weather changes.

Jason and Tristan arrived shortly after 8:30 and got right to work. They were easy to work with, use top of the line equipment like Square D boxes and breakers, and finished up around 3:30 pm. Installation required a little drywall work which was done very neatly. Jason identified the circuit clearly, transferred previous permit work, and created new labels for other parts of the electrical system they had to work with. I liked that they could work and explain things at the same time - very efficient.

Scheduling the inspection was super easy with Linda. Install was Thursday and inspection was Monday. Inspector spent 5 - 10 minutes looking at everything, was glad Jason and Tristan had confirmed proper bonding of the furnace and water heater, and approved project within 45 minutes after he left.

Before leaving Jason made sure I had the correct app and setting for ChargePoint and we tested to make sure it functioned correctly.

Could not ask for a better experience!

When I first called to talk about setting up an appointment I spoke to a very intelligent and nice man. He walked me thru the steps and helped literally walk me off a proverbial electrical nightmare scenario. He told me not to worry and they would be able to at least get my upstairs lights back on. If I decided to fix breaker box they could work on that later. "Lets get you up and going he said." There was no hard pressed sales speech. I said yes, send someone. This interaction was the 10th call to other companies and I chose West Side for this alone. The gentleman was kind patient and understanding. I was sent a reminder quickly after which I appreciated. The repair person BLISS, JASON came over and worked on trying to find the issue from the breaker box to the third level. He even went up into our stand up attic to scout the issue. And this whole time Hospice was here taking care of my Mom I heard Jason get emotional in the other room. We talked and he shared how he had just lost his own Mother and I at once had a friend in my home. He was fast and efficient and most of all sympathetic to our situation. You have a great worker in Jason Bliss and I was honored to have him in our home. When I got the invoice I was shocked at how reasonable and fair it was. I would bake cookies for all of you in appreciation. My Mother has since passed but I will never forget the week of Jan 2026 how Jason took the time to care for us and fix our lights and ease some of my grief. In best, 5 stars all around 10 if I could.

West Side Electric was a very good company to do business with. They kept in constant communication with me and provided great service. I would like to specifically call out Jason, the electrician who was knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and patience. Thank you!

Gary arrived on time, was pleasant and professional. Quickly diagnosed the "problem" and resolved it very efficiently. He explained the issues and the resolution for me (a non-technical person). With provided link to a coupon code the discount makes this type of call affordable. Nevertheless I have called West Side electric more than once.

I used West Side Electric to install outlets and lighting in my detached shed. They were prompt, helpful, and did great work. Glenn and Jason were both personable and answered any questions I had. I'll be using them again for any future electrical work.

I called WSE service center and was promptly connected to someone who could help get me a quote for a hot tub hookup, and able to share pictures so it was incredibly clear.

The journeyman Jason who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable and did things to the best quality possible, and tried worked hard to do the install how I wanted to make it clean and tucked away in the walls of our home. We had to get down from the wall into crawl space and it was really smooth and quick!

My electrical panel had some mistakes (some were my own) he helped me fix those too!

Jason was fantastic. I had two rather difficult and sizable light fixtures to install onto a concrete ceiling.. He handled the job with ease and was quite professional and courteous. Everything was cleaned up when he left and the lights look great.

What a great experience! Jason arrived exactly on time, warmly greeted us our puppy, and got to work. We had an extra item (wiring and installing an outdoor light). He told us to do his best to get it done, but he wasn't sure he could do that the hour time slot.
He quickly assessed the situation as he had to pull wire through an outside wall. It was such a pleasure to have him working here. He came and asked a couple times just to make sure we had the right placement which was appreciated. When the job was done, things looked great. We had a mix of basic electrical work and a problem solving task for electrical problems created 25 and 75 years ago. We expected a large price tag so we requested estimates from 3 excellent electricians. The old part of our project required problem solving, thoughtfulness and communication. That's what we got from Toby and WSE. Toby generated solutions and insights that stood out from the rest. Estimate was the most cost effective. Work was done effectively, quickly, cleanly, on time, and without overruns. Excellent experience beginning to end from first contact through final bill, appointments, problem solving, timeliness, crew effectiveness, communication and cleanliness. Sincerely 10/10.

I just had the best interaction with an electric company that I you can only dream of! West Side Electric was helpful, gave prompt service, and employ the friendliest professionals that take the time to explain and answer the same questions, I’m sure the same they’re asked several times a day, with patience and grace. Great company! Very friendly and professional. This is my second time having them do electrical work on my house and I have always been highly satisfied. On this occasion we had an unexpected change in our timetable and they were able to immediately shift in order to get the necessary work accomplished right away. Highly recommend.

We had nothing but a great experience with White Lightning. They've done three jobs for us, two small, one large. Everyone was professional, friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Fantastic work. Our tech came out when we had a light issue with our Ring camera. He replaced our camera in the pouring rain quickly and easily, and now we have a working floodlight and camera again. We had been without electricity in many areas of the house for almost a month. Kevin made all of the repairs in the electrical panel, installed an outdoor outlet with cover, installed two GFCI, and he exceeded expectations by replacing our recessed lights with hardwired fixtures, and skillfully did so with no visible damage to the plaster in the ceiling. He was excellent. Food is better here than in Chicago though, Kevin.
